HTML - Html: Border Problems With Wmp Video In Firefox
In a website i'm designing, there is a slideshow I created, and instead of using flash I used Windows Media Player. For some reason the html border attribute on both the <embed> and <object> tags, when viewed in Firefox, do not work.
Page with border problems here is the code, if you want it: Code: <center> <object id="MediaPlayer" width="800" height="650" classid="CLSID:22D6f312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95" standby="Loading Windows Media Player components..." type="application/x-oleobject" codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=6,4,7,1112" title="Pete's Mountain Road Slideshow" border="3"> <param name="filename" value="http://www.petesmountainroad.com/PetesMountain.wmv" /> <param name="Showcontrols" value="True" /> <param name="autoStart" value="False" /> <param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> <embed type="application/x-mplayer2" src=http://www.petesmountainroad.com/PetesMountain.wmv" name="MediaPlayer" autoStart="False" wmode="transparent" width="800" height="650" title="Pete's Mountain Road Slideshow" /> </object> <br /> <p class="main">If you do not have Windows Media Player, you can view the video by following <a class="Link" href="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/11/default.aspx" target="_blank" title="Download Windows Media Player 11">this link</a> to download the program to your computer, then try to play it again.</p> </center> </body> </html> Similar TutorialsI assume that this should not be in the Flash section as it seems as the threads there are discussing problems within the Flash program, not putting Flash videos on your webpage. Anyway, I put my flash video on my website and it has black borders on the left and right sides of the video. I would like to remove them, but I don't know a whole lot about flash video parameters. Could anyone tell me how to do this? Here's my code for the index page: Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="stylesheet.css"/> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"/> <meta name="description" content="AV Avenue is a K-12 Classroom Technology Specialists company. I've just realized my first site html5 and all it was ok about indeed the on-line publishing on my server. Indeed every test made on the local disk were good without Firefox does not read the audio and video files. It works with Google Chrome and Safari but not Firefox. I am anxious to specify that I'm under Mac Os X and that I converted well files in format OGG and that I am rather a graphic designer who try write some code. I try to find the solution for several days but unsuccessfully. Can anybody help me please? Here is the fragment of the code: HTML Code: <!-- Track 01 --> <div> <h3>Fall</h3> <div class="mp_options"> <span class="mp_play">Play</span> <span class="mp_addpl">Add to playlist</span> </div> <div class="mp_song_info" style="display:none;"> <span class="mp_song_title">Fall</span> <span class="mp_mp3">music/album1/Red_Fish_Fall.mp3</span> <span class="mp_ogg">music/album1/Red_Fish_Fall.ogg</span> </div> </div> <!-- Track 02 --> For this page on my site: http://www.monkeygambling.com/new%20...ingindex.shtml I am having trouble with the borders on the central part. I have created an external css file with these commands table.border { border-top:1px outset "gray"; border-right:1px outset "gray"; border-bottom:1px outset "gray"; border-left:1px outset "gray"; } td.border { border-top:0px inset "gray"; border-right:1px inset "gray"; border-bottom:0px inset "gray"; border-left:1px inset "gray"; } I want a border with one px width like a normal table, but I don't want the cells to have horizontal borders where the <hr> are. I have got the table to have a border around it, but I want the double line with highlighted edges like in a normal table. If that makes sense could anyone help me? thanks I am building an adwords landing page. The URL is he http://www.amanochocolate.com/adwords/dark-chocolate If you notice, I have put a text block on the right that is all black. I wanted it to have rounded corners so I used some graphics to achieve that. However, for some reason, the table cell color is showing up around the border even though I have no borders set for the table. (I.,e., border:0pt) Also, the border I don't want on the bottom is thicker for some odd reason. I've seen this before but have never figured out what causes this. I would simply like my table borders to be really clean (and gone). Any ideas? -Art I am trying to make a quick fruit machine for the company I am on placement with. (see pic below) It is to be use for a one day show and I only have 20hrs to complete it. (15 already used) I'm using a table (mainly for speed) 5x3 the top and bottom center cells span 3 columns and the middle row has the usual 5 td tags 1st and 5th are for the side images and the 3 in the middle contain Iframes to display the relevent info for each reel. the functionality of the game works fine but the borders ruin the look of the page. It's not finished yet but as you can see the borders trash any looks. the ifames are set with: frameborder="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" scrolling="no" and the table is set using css with: border-collapse: collapse; the border-collapse: collapse; gets rid of all the table borders perfectly without the Iframes but the once the iframes are placed in the td's it seems they extend the cell by one pixel. Does anyone know of a way to get rid of them? thanks for looking. Below is the page code if it helps. Hi guys Attached is an image of the problem I'm having where in Firefox my table borders are not displaying correctly. I've coded using standard html as follows: Code: <table width=100% cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5" bgcolor="ffffff" border="1px" bordercolor="C0CFE2"> Any Ideas? The one on the left is the Firefox version. Hi, I'm having an issue with Firefox 3 that is stumping me. My site has a SWF centered in the middle of my page which is embedded with swfobject v2.1. When the page loads my SWF overlaps the right-sided border of the div I've setup in Firefox, and from what I can tell, Firefox sets the border property on the inside of the div, whereas all the other browsers set the border property on the outside of the div. I've read up on the box model problem, but seeing as how every other browser(IE, Opera, Safari, Chrome etc.) displays the page properly, I'm hitting the wall here. I don't know if swfojbect is causing the problem, or if it's something in my code, because up until I embedded the flash, I'm pretty sure everything was aligned. Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated... http://www.lakeviewchurch.com/new Hi guys Just joined and hoping someone can offer some advice on an issue. Brett What code would websites like youtube and metacafe let other people upload things? Hello all, So far I've read a number of threads on here related to embedding videos on a HTML page. I don't think I've yet to find one definitive answer, if one is at all possible. So here goes my attempt. I have a 70mb .wmv file (henceforth referred to as video.wmv) that I need to have embedded into a web page. I would like for the video to show up on a 640x480 px size window on the center of my page, and have the least amount of compatibility issues possible (IE, FF, etc...). I have a line of link buttons for the bottom of the page, a background image, and a header bar. What is the best current solution to doing this? Certifried Newbee here, so please talk slowly and show me some code. Thanx. I am using these codes for creating projects for sale purposes, I am also asking for permission for using these codes for my projects! looking 4wrd. I'm new to HTML and I'm trying to embed a video from Youtube to the page. I know that you can just copy the embed line from the youtube video site, but what I want is if I click a picture on one(left) side of the page, the video will appear on the other side(right). The page is split into two where all of the left side has a picture, and when you click it, the picture(or video) will enlarge on the right. The video itself should be embedded, not redirect me to the site. I'm using Microsoft FrontPage. Anyone know what lines or commands on the HTML page I should put to do this? Here is an example of the HTML lines that I have currently and I want to change: <tr> <td width="25%" bgcolor="#000000"><a href="http://www.youtu be.com/watch?v=Wri" target="main"><img border="2" src="03_small.jpg" alt="03.jpg (2891 bytes)" width="50" height="37"></a></td> <td width="25%" bgcolor="#000000"><a href="http://www.youtu be.com/watch?v=C" target="main"><img border="2" src="02_small.jpg" alt="02.jpg (3219 bytes)" width="50" height="37"></a></td> <td width="25%" bgcolor="#000000"><a href="http://www.youtu be.com/watch?v=6b" target="main"><img border="2" src="01_small.jpg" alt="01.jpg (2236 bytes)" width="50" height="37"></a></td> <td width="25%" bgcolor="#000000"> </td> </tr> |
