HTML - Hide Url When User Clicks On An External Link

im makeing a page to store files..
how do i hide the page link so it doesnt show the categories (btw my index is .com/*****/*****/index.html)
& if its possible to make it so that the browser doesnt show the category in history... (only .com)

I know there's got to be a pretty easy way to do this but I am having difficulties.

I'm making a FAQ for my website, and all I want to do is have a list of questions, and you can click the question and the answer will appear directly underneath it. Then if you click the question again, the answer will become hidden. Sounds easy enough right? How do I do it?

but, in most cases, visiters can get the mms://wma1.viastreaming.net/cricket l, go for the link inside the site's source code.

so, please could you tell me how do i hide that mms protocol link in to my sourse code.

I have a html page and a drop down menu on top. The drop down menu is for like users. The user has to pick their role and based on that, the page will only show some parts of the content.

So I have the drop down on top (e.g Developer, Editor, etc) and based on what they pick, hide the contents that they're not supposed to see.

Is this possible with HTML? What do I need to do?

I'm experiencing a strange problem in IE with the show-hide layers behavior. I have 4 layers, each with images inside them which are meant to link to other pages. This works fine in Firefox but not so in IE. The odd thing is that when you hover over the images in IE the link appears in the status bar and if you right click and choose "open link" it does work. The site is here www.patons.org/v2/ and its the images at the top that I'm talking about. Any help would be much appreciated.

Is it possible to use to input fields and a submit button with this code:

I want the user inputed code and the "Direzione" values to be added into a link:

http://something.com/random.asp?direction=DIREZIONE&code=CODE

Then I would like this generated link to be automatically added as the "src" of an iframe on the same page once the user presses submit....is this possible?

What sort of syntax do I need to use in the form/input/submit fields? How do I get it to work?

Here is the basic layout of the page:

Direction: [direction input field]  Code: [code input field]  (SUBMIT BUTTON)

How do I Link text in a div, h1, h2, p to an external text file or xml file - I don't really know how to ask the question. I think I need an xml file that can be easily edited by a user saved to the server to update an xhtml page text without the user getting bogged down in html.

I don't want to use joomla or cms.

Hi! I'm a html novis in need of a helping hand.

I'm a musician and I use my homepage as my "portfolio" for live gigs etc. Everything works more or less as it should but I'm missing a key feature; I want to see how many plays each song have.

I've got a click-counter that works on html-links, but my songs are played in some kind of flash-player and I cant implement the click-count feature on it... I'm stuck!

Anyone have any kind of idea on how to solve this? Anything goes; a totally different player, "ugly html", whatever let me see how many plays each song have.

Hi, I'm newly registered and seeking some assistance. I'm working on a website for a client and come across an issue.

The following is my iFrame code:

I have a link that is at the bottom of the page that is supposed to load in the iFrame when clicked upon. The code is as follows:

 <a href="somelink.html" target="framez">some link</a>

What I want is when the link is clicked that it loads in the iframe (this works as intended) AND I want the page to scroll up to the iframe. I tried doing this without success:

 <a href="somelink.html#iframez" target="framez">some link</a>

This is interpreted as #iframez in somelink.html, and not the page its on. Is there any way around this?

Ive been working on a website in my free time, and I have been wondering if it's possible to hover over a link, and change the text color of another link. A picture of one of my web pages is shown in the link below.

I want to be able to hover over something from the side navigation bars and have various links in the bottom naviational bar change color. So like hovering over Blood Elf, would make Death Knight, Mage, Paladin, Warlock, Priest, Rogue, Hunter turn red

I suspect this a total noob type question but I can't find anything in DW help or by searching so here goes.

I have a page with frames. In one of the frames I want an external URL to be displayed rather than content from the mother site, if that makes any sense. I don't mean asa a link, I mean the actual content to be displayed. How do I do that?

Something like...

TopFrame = ./top.html
LeftFrame = ./left.html
BottomFrame = someother.domain/fred.html

And they all get shown when the page is loaded.

Is it possible to log the amount of times an external link has been clicked on your site?

I have managed to get an external style sheet to work on 7 of my 8 pages. I cannot figure out why it will not work on the 8th page. The code was copied and then modified to fit the new page so there should be no reason it shouldn't work. http://ironhillsclan.com the forum page (rules.html) is the only on that doesn't work.

Any ideas?
