HTML - Calculations Real-time In Html
Hi Experts!
I have a very clear idea of what I want my html/JavaScript to do, but absolutely no idea how to accomplish it... so I'm really counting on your help! Here is the challenge: I have two text boxes. I want people to be able to type numbers in the first box, and while they type in the first box, I need the second box to immediately display the same number typed in the first box, but multiplied by 4. Is it possible to write a code that would perform such calculation in real-time? I'd greatly appreciate your help! Similar TutorialsHi! I'll explain my situation: I'm managing a simulated hockey league and the simulator I'm using generates after each simulation many html files that contains infos about standings, injurues, etc... What I would like to do is to, rather than putting buttons on my main websites to access the plain black&white html file, take the info inside these html and put them directly on a better web site interface, all this automatically. In a way that I only have to code once my main webpage so it can read my generated html files (that always keep the same file name) and updates my nicely designed web page each time I put newer htmls on my web ftp. Hello, I need to build a website that updates in real time, but I do not know what the best way to implement a solution that will allow me to do this. I have a program which constantly checks for new pricing data from an exchange and then writes this data to a mysql table. I would like to build a website which will display this data and be up to date. Ideally any new data would be 'pushed' and immediately reflected on the website but I would also settle for a slightly less ideal solution if it's significantly easier to implement. Can anyone suggest how I should go about solving this problem and what tools (php, javascript, ...) would be best applicable for each part? I have converted it to html and uploaded it to site. The links work but the user input's, nor the calculations do not work. Here are my questions: 1. Can I even do what I'm trying to do? 2. Are there special html calc. codes that I should be using instead? 3. If there are, where can I find them. 4. Is there a way of displaying my estimator as a standalone. Basically I have text that is being cut off early (white text on blue, blue ends and white text is lost in the white next to it) and I wanted to know if there is a way to get the text to move to a new line instead of being cut off early. This way it will remain in the blue background. For some reason my images do not display in Firefox, and in Internet Explorer the middle column is pushed way down into the page but the images DO display. My website seems to work just fine in Chrome and Safari. Dear expert (Ok, i am new to this and should maybe not address this as a letter ) I hope someone can help me ... this is what i want to achieve (I am using frontpage) I want to create a table (this i can do!) that require a user input (number of guests). It then has SEVERAL options: - Select an option from a drop down list, and a price is then loaded from somewhere to create a total for that option and display it in the table (And keep that total for adding later) - Check a box, and if checked it creates a further calculation, displaying and storing the number for further calculation. a number of the above options, and a grand total on the bottom. I found more or less a page on a site that does what i am looking for, but after looking at the code, i have even LESS of an idea how it works Can someone PLEASE help me, or point me in the right direction? I need something to calculate on the side the total after picking each drop box option, or if easier, after hitting "calculate total." (preferably with the numbers in a table so I can make it appear by itself right underwear the send button) . I am doing a website for a diner and they close at 3:00pm and I was thinking about putting a sign on the website that would simply say "Open" when the diner is open and "Closed" when its obviously closed. Something I have noticed is that the site seems to load a bit sluggish... I am guessing that this is due to the images on the page, specifically the background image. What should I do?
