HTML - Creating Dropdow Only If Choice # Was Chosen On Previous Dropdown

Hi,

I have a select box with values 1, 2 and 3. When I select '1', I want right next to it 1 inputbox with id A. When I select '2', I want on the same place 2 inputboxes (with other IDs B and C), and so on ...

I tried
1) Putting the 3 spans immediately after the select box and switch visibility between hidden and visible accordingly. Problem he all spans take some space. So if I select 2, it shows me correctly the 2 inputboxes B and C, but there is an empty space between the select box and the inputboxes since the first span is there (invisible). I want the boxes immediately next to the select box.

2) Putting 3 spans (span1, span2, span3, containing 1 box, resp. 2 boxes and so on) somewhere invisible. And then using 1 span next to the select box. On change of choice: document.getElementById("span").value = document.getElementById("span2").value;
Problem he the boxes are not shown in span, just empty space.


Who has a Good solution?

I am using css to create a dropdown menu. It works fine in all browsers except IE6. In IE6 a dropdown list covers the dropdown menu. please see the atachment/screenshot.

Yes, I searched, found nothing---

I have a pretty basic Forum. Users must log in to the Forum - from inside the Forum they can log in to their email accounts - it is seamless, it appears to the user that they are still in the Forum site, but they are actually in a different site--- The email client has a 'log out' button -

I have code that will return the user to my forum:

BUT, this doesn't work for me because it returns the user to the forum HOME PAGE, and they must log in again.

In the same situation, if the user logs into the email client, and then rather than clicking on the 'Log Out' button, they hit the browser 'Back' button, it takes them straight back to the forum, without the need to log back in--

I would like to have code behind the 'Log Out' button that will do the same, take them straight back to the forum, not just log them out of the email client.

I am creating 2 HTML pages

when click on 1st page hyperlink, we will go to 2nd page

2nd page contains an image.
when clicking on image i want to go to 1st page with new content and want to remove privious content.

also when 2nd page open 1st page is visible but when cliking on image , new content should be visible on 1st page.

I have just started playing around with AJAX, and made a simple input text field that continuously suggests pages as the user types into the textfield.

However, in most browsers, the browser also tries to do something similar, by displaying a list of similar queries for any input with the same name attribute...

I end up with two lists of suggestions :-)

Is there a way to prevent the browser suggestions from turning up?

Some mouses today have horizontal scroll, some call the tilt.
It looks something like:

I noticed that many websites they code those horizontal scroll to go to next/prevous page. For example Discuz! forum system has this function. While you browse hundreds or thousands of posts separated into pages, the horizontal scroll can take you to previous page or next page.(not browser back/forward)

How do I code like that? Or any examples?

To create a CMS in PHP, is the best way to do it to save sections of the html to either say either a db or text file. This seems a bit messy but maybe the best way, for example say i have this html and i want to have a user be able to add more images to their page by just uploading an image and clicking a button ........,

This would put the contents of all 3 text files into a single variable $f_final so that all i would need to do if i needed a new image added is add that images html to text3.txt.

This seems like a pretty good way of doing things, i assume this is how CMS systems are made pretty much??

When u hover on about us button it appears submenu/dropdown.
But in IE7 its behind that AJAX slideshow/slider. So in all browser its ok
but on IE its broken Also when i hover About Us from left or right its inline menu instead of block ?

Can somebody help me figure out how to add another <ul> to my dropdown menu?

I can't seem to get another menu item item from 'For Rent' -> 'Holiday' - 'Apartments' -> then here I want to list the locations 'Nerja', 'Torrox' and 'Frigiliana' but I can't get it to display properly.

So for a while a have been trying very hard to create a dropdown menu for my navigation bar. I have searched the web long and hard for this and found little valuable information. I have a four link graphical navigation bar made from image sprites (see this tutorial) and have been trying to make a dropdown bar for just the second link. I know a bit of html/css but very little javascript which if I understand what I read from google, thats what I will need. Can anyone help please?
