HTML - Is There A Good Html Editing Software For Newbies
Hi all! I'm new to this forum. I'm not very tech savvy so this is probably why I'm about to lose my mind trying to figure out the solution to my problem....
I would like a good software program where I can create templates in html format so that I can email for marketing purposes. I've tried a few online services and their limitations have me beating my head against the wall. I don't know html code. And I don't need to build a website. And I don't want to spend an outrageous amount of money. But I do want to create a template that will get to someones inbox, not junk mail, and arrive without attachments. I need the software to be user friendly & have an easy interface where I can easily edit using a visual editing tool. Does that exist? Any advice would be very much appreciated Similar TutorialsHello..Just to describe my situation to you. I am new and don't know how to create webistes, and I have no shame in that. TY Is there any software that converts psd to html code instead of slicing manually in photoshop and developing html using dreamweaver ?? I'm in need of a software that searches text in html files and replaces them ignoring the html tags. As example replace 1 with <b>1.</b> it should ignore tags like color="111111" and not make color="<b>1.</b><b>1.</b><b>1.</b><b>1.</b><b>1.</b><b>1.</b>" out of it. Hi Folks, I am a new member of this forum. I am very impressed with the content and information available in the ocean (forum). I am not good in programming. However, I have learned basic HTML programming, but not enough to write advanced coding (e.g. Creating CSS, class, table formatting, etc). I used to work on MS FrontPage and liked it very much because of its user-friendly interface. There we do get notepad, word and HTML preview windows. I always liked to work in Word window and copy notepad/code. But the biggest disadvantage is MS FrontPage uses a lot of MS Office classes and extra codes which is too tough to understand for other people. The only reason I stopped working in FrontPage because of excessive code and classes. I am looking for a software/tool where in I need to just work on Word processor like window, and I will get its code and html preview automatically? So that I will design my html page in word processor like window and get pure html code. Why do I need that software? Reason: I work on html, extensively on tables, nested tables, where in I need to use only one side border, middle border, only bottom border for each row, use gradient color in cell background, etc. I checked with Coffeecup HTML ediot and Dreamweaver CS4, but they also dont have much features for tables, and it is too advanced to use only to create HTML pages Hi I need to make a simple html file and need software to make it but I do not have any. What best free software is best to do it? Newbie -- using KompoZer to prepare text & image pages for eBookGold publishing software. 1. No problem preparing pages. Copy and paste from Word doc. Clean up code as necessary. Simple formatting - no bells & whistles. Page width set at 580 pixels. 2. Each page viewed in IE7 is consistent with flush left margin and right margin consistent with 580 pixel width. Each page is tested for printing on 8.5x11 paper so pages can be numbered. 3. File is uploaded to eBook publishing software with default page view of 640x480. Software includes eBook viewer for computer use. Book generates successfully. 4. PROBLEM IS WITH VIEWING PAGES IN THE SOFTWARE READER. Some are the same as IE7. Others spread from edge to edge of the computer screen which, in some cases, affects the image and text placement. ???? Why is there a difference between IE7 and software publisher view of same page? Is there HTML code that can fix the problem? If yes, what is it and how do I do it? specifics would be appreciated. My employer and I are learning as we go -- any help is gratefully appreciated. Thanks C. I'm editing a map and want to change the size of the box that appears when I mouse over an object. The code for the entire map is <table width="550" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td><img src="img/map_top.gif" width="464" height="222" usemap="#projects" border="0" name="Image1"> <map name="projects"> <area shape="circle" coords="254,167,16" href="#" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('no_box','','img/hiv_label.gif',1)"> <area shape="circle" coords="158,183,16" href="#" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('no_box','','img/hiv_label.gif',1)"> <area shape="circle" coords="141,151,16" href="#" onMouseOut="" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('no_box','','img/css_label.gif',1)"> <area shape="circle" coords="81,120,7" href="/science/phs/cprp/projects/whiscc.html" target="/science/phs/cprp/projects/whiscc.html" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('no_box','','img/whi_label.gif',1)" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()"> </map> <br> <img src="img/map_bottom_left.gif" width="221" height="38"><img src="img/no_box.gif" width="243" height="38" name="no_box"> <br> </td> </tr> </table> To pick one specific example that I want to edit, I want the circle produced by <area shape="circle" coords="141,151,16" href="#" onMouseOut="" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('no_box','','img/css_label.gif',1)"> to produce a larger box (the css_label image gets compressed and make the words hard to read.) How do I increase the size of the css_label.gif so it is readable? Thanks, Kevin. Hey people, First post here and I hope you guys can help me. I'm currently helping out a family friend's company with general IT stuff, wether it be designing things for them or website stuff. Now I am by no means an experienced web designer, hence why I came here. They asked me today if I can make some changes to one of the sites they run, really simple ones at that. All I need to do is update some of the text on the site, change the dates etc. I have access to the ftp, using filezilla, and for the life of me I cannot find the html files I need to change. Now I obviously don't expect you guys to tell me where they are, but is there a method you would use to track them down? Right now there seems to be a ridiculous amount a folders and files for what seems to be a relatively simple site! I hope someone can point me in the right direction, for reference this is the website I need to make changes to http://kcsfireworks.co.uk/ Hope you guys can help point me in the right direction! Cheers Hi, I wish to know how to edit or remove any unwanted comments being posted in the comment box of my created website. Kindly suggest the html code to delete it from my website. Thanks in advance. Hi, Found these forums on google whilst searching for the answer to my question. I currently have a site with 320+ pages and have recently come to a point where I need to change a section of code which is identical on every page, does anyone know of an editor or program where it is possible to edit this section of code on all of the pages at once or am I going to have to edit each page one by one? Ive used a meta tag editor which has a similar function to what I require but im yet to find a HTML editor which can do this. Any help appreciated Hi everyone, Good day to you. Manicui Once the web page, still under construction, has taken shape and is going through font styling etc, is it normal just to open the html in IE and change the contents from View/Source or should I always edit the file in Notepad and then save back to html? Hello all, I really want to revamp my theme that I use on my Tumblr blog and I figured you'd be the ones to help. I'm computer literate, both Mac and PC, but I know nothing of coding. I ashamed to say this, but nevertheless I'm willing to learn a little if any of you will hold my hand through some changes I'd like to make to my Tumblr theme. Here's a link to my Tumblr page. As you can see, it's a default theme. The list of things I'd like to do is a little jagged, but I really want all my pictures to have a limit to their size and how much space they can take up. Also, I'd to know how to remove the visual tags on the left hand side. As if that's not enough adding a display of how may "notes" (for those who are tumblr literate) my posts have. Font too. How do I even begin changing these things? There are no options in the simple customize pane displayed at the top. But, I can edit the HTML... so what do I do? Please tell me if you need any information, I really want this to work. Thanks everyone. Connor Flynn Kindly let me know if I can get professional templates which can be amended according to one's needs. REally, I don't have that much time to be an expert at HTML or CSS - but was wondering what CMS' are quick to learn that has a lot of templates. I know WordPress is one - just wondering if there are anymore...I'm sure there is. .................... Howdy everyone! I'm a noob here and I'm at my wits end. The real problem here is that I know just enough to get myself into trouble, but no concept on how to dig myself out of it. The website I'm working on is he http://www.psychological-warfare.com My problem is that it looks OK in Explorer, but looks like a trainwreck in Firefox. It was designed by retrofitting a template I bought years ago, so it's like trying to decipher the amatuer translation of a Russian mad scientist's codex. I apologize in advance. I've been moving DIV's back and forth for days and Explorer doesn't seem to care. Things just keep getting worse and worse in Firefox. I think the main issue is that I have a left column and then the header that spans the middle and right columns. I can see how Firefox might hate that... The next problem (and I'm hoping someone might have an idea on this): I used a modern header calling this whole mess XHTML. I know exactly squat about the differences between HTML and XHTML except that XHTML loves to have everything "/>"ed. Would all of this work if the header called it transitional HTML and give myself a little leeway? What code should be at the top of my page? Thanks everyone for the help. I wish I could buy everyone a beer! I m wondering which hmtl editors everyone here prefers. I have downloaded HTML-Kit & Page Breeze but I am not the sharpest tool & I end up getting frustrated as I need a more user friendly editor. Something for the ADHD adult I really won't be using advanced things like media for now, only basic HTML & CSS. What I am trying to accomplish is to get a website done without media or movable images. Also, someone told me that there are some editors which come with ready made commands, for e.g maybe such as creating a table by just clicking anywhere. Of course, I will have to specify other things. Are there any editors which automate a lot of your work & save time? Thanks a lot. Does anybody here have any examples of websites constructed ONLY using HTML/CSS? I would like to look at the source code and the files, and see how it's been made. |
