I have a question: On my website, I want to make a button. When you click on it, it will pop-up with a frame (It would help if it's an iFrame, from an other HTML document). The frame should dim/gray out the background site. A perfect example would be one on those really annoying website content lockers, that make you complete some scam thing such as sign up for something, or complete a survey, but mine will open from a button, and will have a close box. An other not so perfect example is lightbox, how it open a frame, and greys out the background site. Anyways, In that frame will be an image gallery. It will use lightbox. Since this frame will cover about 90% of the screen (centered), lightbox will still open just in the covering frame. I would really appreciate some advice, or even better, a tutorial or link to one. Thanks in advanced, everybody! P.S. The frame doesn't need any kind of great graphics like how lightbox resizes itself. Hello, I'm a windows app programmer, but don't know too much about HTML. I use Frontpage to maintain my web site. I need to check the referring page, and if it equals what I want, then I need to redirect to another page. OK, to explain further, I've had a web site for years. Lets call it www.p.com. Yesterday, I registered two new domain names, we'll call them www.a.com and www.b.com. I had my web host simply make them pointers directly to www.p.com. So, when users type in www.a.com or www.b.com, they are automatically taken to www.p.com. This is OK...but, it is causing some issues. What I'd like to do is, when the page (www.p.com) is loaded, I want the page to check the page the user came from, such as www.a.com. If it was www.a.com or www.b.com, then I want to re-load www.p.com, so that the page is refreshed so that it actually was www.p.com and not a re-direct from www.a.com. Can I do this? and how can this be done? Many thanks in advance! domls Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knows how to centre an image link in another frame (yes I know frames are bad but its an old website I am updating) i have I have tried everything from class="center" to editing the original frameset and the original page loaded into the window but I can't get the jpeg file to load up centred and so I was hoping someone might be able to help as I don't want to link all the pictures to seperate html documents with only a centred image in... Thanks for any help. Hey. I have a frame and inside it there is a link. I want it to target an anchor called Code: that is INSIDE it's own frame. I tried Code: but it tries to reload the entire page, and doesn't just "jump" to the anchor like it normally would. How do I do this? Thanks Hi! I am using Dreamweaver 8 to develope my site. I have broken the page in three pieces(frames) So that the top frame shows the title, the left frame is for links that I want to show as flash movies in the right frame. I have studied the help file and I have looked on the web and I can't find an explanation that I can understand on how to do this. I believe the clickable link should be an href but I don't know how to code it. Can someone explain this to me? Thanks in Advance! Paul I am wondering if it is possible to create an INDEX.HTML to redirect to another website? I would like it to display the redirected site, but if possible keep to the original address.. e.g. A site named www.mysite.com, with an INDEX.HTML to redirect to www.othersite.com, which displays OTHERSITE with www.mysite.com in the address bar. Hope I explained ok, any responce would be much appricated! Thanks! Hi Again, I'm trying to get the titles in my sidebar to link to the main frame (I have created 2 columns). For some reason the code is not making a hyperlink (this is borrowed code). Any ideas? <div class="leftMenuTab" onmouseover="menuMouseOver(this);" onmouseout="menuMouseOut(this);" onclick="window.location.href="c:CASARA Website/whatwedo.html" TARGET="main page"">What We Do
On the upside, all of my grief is on the first page. The rest of what I'm doing is much easier for me so hopefully I'll be out of your hair soon! Hi there, I'm trying to create a hyperlink that opens a word document. The filename is "C# Essentials.doc". I have the right path, and can open files that don't include special characters in their filenames, but I don't have the hang of putting special characters such as "#" into a hyperlink. Could anyone advise me the code to use for the filename? Thanks! F Hi everyone, I want to know how to make a hyperlink open in different page/tab. So im left with the original page and the hyperlink has opened in another tab. Thanks for all of your help. hi how to add other styles to hyperlinks? Hello, My question seems simple but I'm having a hard time figuring it out. Basically I have shadowbox (like lightbox) installed on my site and it works great with hyperlinks but not so well with form submit buttons. After trying to figure out how get shadowbox to work with forms, with no luck, I'm trying a different option. Hyperlinks. Since shadowbox works so well with links, Is there a way that I can have some hidden form values, along with form drop downs and the like, transfered over to a link that will then launch into shadowbox? I read about javascript being able to do this but can't find any good solutions. Any help? Hi guys I'm pretty new to web design and am just really learning as I go along. I've just launched a new site at www.SquaredCircleRadio.com (built pretty basically in Frontpage) and have a couple of questions regarding hyperlinks opening in new windows. My main problem is that I have 2 pages that i'd like to popup in seperate smaller windows. (player.htm and plaza.htm) however i'm having problems coming up with the solution. A couple of these need to be activated by clicking on Hyperlinked text and one of them by clicking on an image. I'd be very grateful for any help anyone could give me!! Many Thanks |
