HTML - Built In Scrolling On Webpage
Hey,
I am coding a personal webpage (its been an on going project) and I want to have a built in scrolling mechanism to switch between different content on my page without having to actually move pages. I guess the effect I am going for is similar to Facebook's interactive pages. I would like left and right nav arrows to move from content to content. I am pretty experienced in HTML/CSS but not much else. So my question is, what type of language would best suit what I am trying to accomplish? If there are any other details that you guys would like to know, please ask. I am kind of asking for a walk through, if someone could post a template or a basis of code here I would be very appreciative. Thanks in advance Sensen Hey all, I was wondering if anybody had any pointers on this website I've been building. It looks alright so far in Firefox, but I've had some issues in IE. The link is: http://www.totaros.com/totaros new/index.html Specifically, -The image distortion on the menubar-what are the best types of images to save these as for compatibility in IE? -The menubar not resizing in IE with different resolutions -Aligning text next to pictures (such as on the Entertainment page). My website is uspsrealty.com There is some "empty" space on my home page below the horizontal line. I want to remove the horizontal line and have the ability to use that empty space without throwing my borders/margins off. I would like to add about 3-4 sentences in that blank area. Can this be changed so I can add a few sentences? I know why this is happening, just don't know how to correct it. Also want to change the copyright.jpg to 2010 from 2009. Hi, i have a problem im not sure how to go about it . I have a webpage where the user enters there personal details . As they are fillign in details they click a link and another webpage is opened ( keeping the orginal open ) Where the do some other stuff on this new page and what is created is a javascript array of numbers I then want them to be able close this new window down and the javascript array data will be submitted with the rest of the personal information when the click a submit button on the first page . If this makes sense how do i go about this? Thanks So, I would like to make a one-line textfield that will automatically scroll when too much text is added. So, for example, if I have a field that has room for 20 characters, and someone enters 10 characters, it looks as expected. However, if someone enters 30 characters, only characters 10-30 would be visible. Is this possible? my page (http://www.zerofivezero.net/the_project102.html) is scrolling as if there's content down the page, but there isn't...I can't figure it out. Hey all. I have been working on this website that my friend had been designing, and was just wondering if this was possible. The way it is now, the topmost div's are supposed to stay in their position at all times, and the only part that would scroll would be the main body. The two body divs (left and right) have been placed inside the div that should be scrolling. I know there is the css overflow, but the problem is, there is no fixed height on the div, so this method isn't quite right. If anyone knows of a way where we could just start the scrolling at a certain point down the page, that would be great. I dont like this... What i want to happen, is for them to be fixed, like the background, so when you scroll down, the links around the sides dont move. My problem is on our website we hav a page that is called jobs.htm. Is there a way i can get it so when you type in www.vqcheese.com/jobs the jobs.htm page will show up and no just error out? Thanks Okay that most probably didnt explain it very well but I am looking at putting a page together that will display a specific image at the top of the page dependant on where the visitor came from So if they came to my site from a link from abc.com then they will see the ABC logo on our page however if they came from 123.net then they will see the same page but this time with the 123.net logo. Im using this page as a reference... So I copied the source, and copied the file free_access.css within the same folder I created an image subfolderd but when I preview it in dreamweaver it tells me it can not find the css file...
