HTML - Can't Identify Main Page

Ok, This might be a bit confusing but ill try my best.

On my main website homepage i have a splash image which when clicked redirects to the main website,

also in another folder i have a phpbb3 Forum.

Below the image on my homepage i have a login box for the forum as well.

What i would like to do is to hide that login box unless a keyword is entered before hand, and make the domain.com/forum URL inaccessible unless you login through this route. basically hiding the forum completely so people dont actually know its there.

I could do this through .htaccess however i was hoping there was a "cleaner" way to do this.

Hi Guys really hope you can help

I have a site which runs off a couple of templates and what i need to do is add some code into one of the ditable regions so that it will pic up the Page title and drop it in the body off the page.

e.g. the page title is 'Monkey23' and i require 'Monkey23' to automatically show up in the Body of the page. I have hundreds of pages all with different titles and therefore manual titling is not an option.

Anyone got any awesome code to help me?

Im making a site at the mo and im looking to keep the menu and a picture stay in the same position constantly. So when then user moves the scoll wheel only the text are will scroll. I dont want there to be any border or scroll bars around the text, so the only visable scroll bar will be the browsers... any ideas?

Is there a way I can have a page of links sat in a directory which I can call from via other pages on the server? I think I'm thinking of something that can be done with PHP, but the idea is:

On main page, for example, links:

All call to 'links.html'

Which has a list of page URL's, each with their own ID. So the links on the main page call to the ID's, which extracts the link listed at that moment in time. So if I later want to change the link, I have only to change the link.html and not every related link on the site.

I know I could maybe use inline frames, but the layout I have makes that not possible, and it's still not a great solution.

I'm sure someone must know what I'm talking about. Sorry if it sounds confusing!

Hi,

i want some help regarding HTML links.

I have a table containing topic and topic id. and another table having topic_id, sequence_no and Replies columns.
I have a php + mysql script which show all the topics as html links.
Now what i have to do is when any of link is clicked it should get identified and all the corresponding Replies should be displayed sequencially.
I dont know how to identify and fetch topic_id on which i have clicked.

When parsing the POST data from an input form, how do you identify a uploaded file? My first guess is that the Content-Disposition header field will contain a filename parameter, but I don't want to just make that assumption. When I dissect some POST data, it looks like this...

I have main window and child window opened by

child = window.open(adr, name, "height=200, width=600,resizable=1");

Both pages have <title>title</title>

But whereas main widow has in title bar

"title - Microsoft Internet Explorer"

,the child window has

"http://<ip address> - title - Microsoft Internet Explorer"

Why that difference? I want the ip address in child window to disappear, but don't know how. It does the same in IE6 and Mozilla.

Anyway, onto the point... I want to make an area to put all of my content like text and images and what not in that main area but I don't really have any idea how to do it. Also the background image isn't showing up in firefox, so if you have any idea how to fix that let me know. But for now I guess you have to look at it in IE. Also, I will be having galleries under the evergreen, perennials, etc. tabs, and I think I want to use lightbox, but I don't know much about it. So any tips with that would help. Hi All, I am missing the "about us" button on the end of the main css menu www.rangeford.com.au. It is missing on every page which makes me believe css issue but have stared at both the html and css for days and cannot see any issue

I want to figure out a way to make the layout of my website fixed, depending on the screen resolution and browser of the person that is viewing my site. I would like a layout with three rows (Header, content, Footer). the Content row should be 2 columns. i would specifically like the Header and Footer rows to be Fixed. and the right column in the content row to have a scroll bar, so that the content in it is the only thing I can scroll while my top banner and footer stay put.

Can anyone orient me towards tutorials or any sort of information that might help me solve this?

I had a guy helping me fix my flyout menu and now my content that is under my div content is at the bottom of my page instead of at the bottom. I am not sure what to do to get it back to the top. Any help or ideas, I have been messing with this for hours.

Second post here. I'm pretty new to html, and I'm using it to fix up an old site.

I got a navbar off some cool site with little html doodads, and I want to position it in the top frame of a page, so that it remains up the top of the page no matter where on the site you go. Unfortunately, whenever you click one of the links in the bar, it directs you to that link IN THE TOP FRAME, rather than instead displaying it in the main one.
