HTML - Any Way To Hide The Path?

Good Evening

I am new into this forum..My question i have a .html file which are having images mentioned as absolute path.How to provide them in relative path so that when i run the same html in other machine it should run well without any disapperaing of icons.

Below is the small tag code which need to be converted.

I'm perfectly comfortable with file paths when going forwards but in my site i've got html files in sub folders and I want to be able to go back to the root.

Example.
In my main htdocs folder i've got my index and stylesheet
But i've also got a folder called leagues and in that folder i've got a file called leaguetables.html.

In the top of my /leagues/leaguetables.html file I want to be able to reference the stylesheet in the root folder but how do I call it? I want to avoid using the full website name e.g. http://mannyroadend.co.uk/stylesheet.css as that feels like bad programming so how's it done?

Ok I had someone recently create me a new myspace layout.

We will be using various images for the layout that I will be changing myself from time to time.

He needs to know the file path of where I'll be storing these images on my server so he can link all the images correctly.

I guess for right now I was just going to use my home computer as the server & just get the hosting?

What do you guys think?

Also when creating the file path, none of the folders that I want to use can have a space between the folder name right?

Like it must be:

AcidTripMedia

Not

Acid Trip Media

Right? I must take all of the spaces out of the names of the folders I want to use?

Hi the website is showing up fine but there should be a repeater background image , and it doesnt show up in browser at all . Been working on it for 4 hours now.


Please help me..

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this whole html/web developing community and I got a few questions. My most important question is:

1. Would it be possible to have a button(like a type=file) that browses directories only, but instead of uploading them, just displaying the path as a text, so when my script picks it up, it just reads the text?
EDIT:
What I'm talking about is very similar to this thread, but i just want them to upload path so when the script emails the data, its just a link to the path on the local server




and my other question is:

2. If a user enters data in a text area, like i am writing in this, when my script picks it up, it does not seem to get the newlines at the end and just displays it all on one line, is there a way i can go about fixing it so that it gets passed(or even converted) to exactly how the user entered it?
EDIT: I've tried using wrap="physical" tag but I've been reading and some people say that it doesn't work..any suggestions?

In IE when I do the javascript toggle to hide the div, the audio from a swf/flv is still playing, how do I stop all sounds or unload the flash file?

I'd like to hide the soundFile url so that people can't just view the page source and copy the location of the mp3.

Any ideas? I was hoping there'd be something I could do with some php variables or something, but I haven't really come up with a solution that would actually work.

I am looking for simple and fast way to hide a table in html.

I don't need the table to show on click, or anything fancy, all I need is to hide it. I don't even care if there is a white space where the table is hidden.

Is there a simple way of doing this without having to add CSS or Java?

Hey i have a drop down menu...when i select a particular name from it...it should hide all the other content on the page other than the header <h3> being selected and the content of h3...which can either be encloded in <br> or <table> tag

Can I get an input submit button to "go away" after it is clicked on? It is opening up another window and once that window is open I don't want the button viewable any more.

I'm using Google Apps and here's what I'd like to do with an html code. Right now I have a link that goes to "mail/", inside that mail folder is an index.html. Now, within that html code I'd like to redirect to "http://mail.google.com/a/layercakeclan.com/", but make it appear as though the URL is still "LayerCakeClan.com/mail". I know a lot of free url redirection services use this method.

Can someone tell me how to do this?
