HTML - Deleting Certain Strings Of Text From Multiple Files

Im not 100% sure if this belongs to the html section or php section.

Im not pro in html coding , but what i have is multiple html files for a site, I would like to publish content on each file at the same time without having to edit each file one by one.

Example: Lets say i have a news section on each page, i would like all pages to be updated automatically when news is publish on one page.

How would i go about achieving this? ASP? or will PHP be needed for this function.

i don't want to use CMS -

Anyone understand where im coming from?

I have iframes on my site that link to text files. The problem is when members go to these pages they dont see the latest version without having to frantically press F5, must be a cookies thing? What can i do to ensure the txt file is always the most up to date.

I am building a website with a great number of very similar webpages which all share a common link list running down one side of the page containing 500 links. though this list will only start with one link it will grow over time. updating this list will become increasingly difficult as it grows due to the vast number of pages it will be on. my question is can i create this list in a single location,like in a text or second htm file and request on each of the 500 pages to reference this single location when the page loads. the list links are a standard web link, as such, here followed by the many ghost buttons whioch will over time become real links

Now, I am going to have more than a 1 span that I dynamically need to assign the customer_name to. But I want it to be able to do so without me having to name them all "customer_name1, customer_name2, customer_name3" and then having to go through and manually change each one, one-by-one within the function.

What I'd like to do is ultimately have the function loop through every span with the name or id of "customer_name" and change the innerHTML within it to whatever the value of the costomer's name variable is ("John Doe" for example).

I've tried a few ways, most of the time it only changes 1 instead of all of them.

Can anyone help?

I am working on launching a new website for a gaming clan, and I am curious if there is a way to or a code to make other pages retrieve text from the main page.

The way the template was set up, I have to copy and paste some of the same info on 5 or 6 pages each time its updated. So my question is: is is possible to get all the other pages to just automatically copy what the main page has

Hi I am having trouble on this topic, can't think of a way to clearly explain this so i ll just throw an example:

I'm aiming for this in a table:

without the need to do line break or start a new <span><div>or<td>, so basicly the text content (the "X"s) is continuous and the underline needs to fill the whole horizontal width, making <u> an invalid solution.

Does anyone know how to make this possible, Thanks in advance!

P.S. I am using query to auto fill the text content so the length of the text is not fixed and will change base on the database record

I'm trying to create an information page with HTML whereby people can find an address of a store based on the conditional dropdown boxes selected. Based on the choices selected, it would display the results.

E.g.
Dropdown 1: Select State
Dropdown 2: Select Retail Store

Output: Address of the retail store (displayed on the same page)

I came across a solution in one of the threads for making multiple conditional dropdowns for a form. The code given works extremely well but I'm not sure how to have a text output result on the same page. Can anyone help? Thanks a bunch in advance!

Ok, you know how you can drag the mouse over any amount of normal text and the text gets that blue border around it. Try doing the same with an input box and you can only highlight the text of one input box at a time. How can I highlight the text from multiple form input boxes at once?

I made the slideshow for this website using slide.com and want to remove the link behind it that directs you to their site!
