I have a problem where my page shows a huge gap between the movie and comments area. Can anyone advise on this? You'll need to be logged in to see this problem: Thanks in advance for any help on this. htmlmonkey Hello I am a total newbie to html and I am sure this can probably be answered in a second.... I am trying to make my title text very large to make a statement - maybe 5 cm high. It doesnt seem to matter how big i make it in my nvu editor, ( in the normal screen mode) once i upload it to my webspace online it only appears at a much smaller size. I can make it so the title literally fills the screen in my nvu editor and then upload it to my webpage and it still restricts the maximum size it shows it at. Does it sound like i am doing something wrong in my nvu html editor or should i be using some html text in the source mode to make the large text recognisable to my webspace, ie: using some font size comands? I hope this makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Alex Hi, There is a huge gap on this page and I cannot work out why it is there. Can anyone see the reason for this, please? http://dickinsons-coaches.co.uk/Daytrips2010.htm I would put the source code in but it would be too long. Yeah well the title says it... What it's supposed to look like: http://www.pzfantasyfootball.com What it does look like: http://www.pzfantasyfootball.com/forums This is my first time working with phpbb3 and let me tell you, it's been an interestingly horrible experience lol. Ive coded my a layout and uploaded it but it looks different in ie than it does in firefox (Internet Explorer) (Firefox) Could someone please help me, Thanks Have a look at my site Can anyone tell me what on earth happened in my sidebar? All of a sudden, the space under the poll I have on the right hand side extended, making my site fill up with blankl space (u can scroll down and see what I mean). I didn't do anything, it just happened on its own. Can anyone see why this is happening?? Thx. Hello, I want to create an admin form with ~70 inputs on it. (20 textboxes, 10 textareas, 40 checkboxes). Besides this the textual inputs must be present for 4 different languages. I mean if there is a textarea for description then there must be 3 others as well for description in different languages. In this case the form becomes very big and hard to fill for the admins. Does anybody has an idea how to make it as user friendly as possible? I'm making a webcomic system. It has first/next/last/latest buttons on it and a drop down menu to go to a specific comic. The problem is in the menu. I made it and it works perfectly. The only problem is when I make a new comic I would have to update all 100-or-so comic html pages to show the new comic in all of the drop down directories. How do I update one page to show all of the comics on the same drop-down form? The text on this page has huge gaps between the lines. The gaps are between "Choose a Transaction", "Transaction Types" and the button "Next". I have included the page code and attached an image for reference. If you could help me close the gaps, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks. Code: <table width='770' border='0' cellpadding='0' cellspacing='0' id='maintable' align='center' valign='top' align='left' margin=0 padding=0 width='770' height='500' table style='background-color:#ffffff; font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; width:'770' height:'500'></td> <link href='custom.css' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'> <td id='menu' align='left' valign='top' rowspan='500' width='164'> <br> <img src='images/bullet.gif' alt='' width='10' height='10'><a href='index.php'><font color='#DDCEA2'><font face='Arial' size='2'>Home</a></font><br></a> <form method="POST" action="index.php"> <input class='field' type='hidden' name='command' value='account'> <input class='field' type='hidden' name='param' value='renew'> <input class='field' type='hidden' name='account_id' value='[account_id]'> <td colspan='2' class='pageTitle'><div class='hLine'><font face="Arial" color="#EE7600" size="3"> Choose a Transaction</font></div></td> <tr><td class='fieldLabel' width="30%"><font face="Arial" color=#000000" size="3" Style="padding: 5px;"> <font face="Arial" color="#000000" size="3"> Transaction Type:</font><!--</td>--> <td align="left"><font face="Arial" color="#EE7600" size="2">[account_type_panel]</font></td> <tr><td align="center"></td> <td align="left"><input name="submit" type='submit' class='button' value='Next' /></td> </tr> </form> <tr height='30%' ><div class='hLine'></div></td></tr> </table> Hey everyone, I'm trying to set my background image, but for some reason it has a large black bar at the bottom, where the pink gradient should actually start at the bottom so that you cant see the black bar? I'm trying to upload my Index.html file, but when I do the image loader says that its not a valid file? Any ideas? Hey Guys Im after hitting a huge brick wall with a college proj. I have created a web-site with dreamweaver. Its saved as .php. I opened it todyay and once the browser opens new pages keep opening. Only way to stop it is to kill the page. I have tried opening it in explorer and it just crasher explorer. This has only happened as recently as today, with the proj going on since jan. Error attached below All suggestions welcome Rgds RA Sorry if i posted this in the wrong location. So im a real estate agent making a website. Im no pro and most of the stuff ive been using to build has been through layouts/generators/help of others such as yourselves. So ive been stuck on finding/making this code for the past couple of days. So all my listings are on my agencys website, not my personal agent website. Is there a code i could have where in the listings page my my personal agent website, i could have a window maybe 600x900 of the listing page on my agencys website? To kind of clear things up, you know how when you google something you have the magnifying glass, how it gives that preview. How can i have that preview coded onto a webpage, but me say what webpage to preview and how big to make the preview box? Tried to explain it as best i could. If you dont know the code, if you can tell me what its called so i can try to narrow the google searches. So far everything that has been coming up in the search restults has been preview boxes to preview html codes you have already written. Fail Blog Thanks i almost went crazy trying to troubleshoot this one... thought i'd share. HTML Code: <style type=text/css> a:link {font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:12px;} </style> <table width="200" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tr> <td width="100" valign="top"> <a href="link">Sample text </a> <td width="100" valign="top"> <a href="link">Sample text</a> </td></tr></table> Turns out a "space" at the end of the link text pushes the text upwards slightly. Simply remove the space (or add on to the other line) or use the space code [ ] The css also plays a part, this doesn't appear happen when text is "unformatted" I'm a novice compared to the pros here and stuck on a couple issues. My website is uspsrealty.com There is some "empty" space on my home page below the horizontal line. I want to remove the horizontal line and have the ability to use that empty space without throwing my borders/margins off. I would like to add about 3-4 sentences in that blank area. Can this be changed so I can add a few sentences? I know why this is happening, just don't know how to correct it. Also want to change the copyright.jpg to 2010 from 2009. Might as well make up a few more jpgs with the years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 Willing to paypal you money for your help. Hoping one of you pros can do this in 30 min and willing to pay $25-30. Contact me he galevin@hotmail.com Thanks, Gerald Levin Hi, i have a problem im not sure how to go about it .
