How do you do an Outline that expands when u click a item?
it would look something like this -Chapter 1 -Chapter 2 -Chapter 3 and then when you click on... lets say Chapter 1 it will expand into -Chapter 1 -Chapter 2 -subsection -Chapter 3 Thanks! Similar TutorialsHi, I'm using a table within a fieldset. The table columns expand beyond the fieldset boundaries which I don't want to happen. On the fieldset tab, I'm not using any classes other than: Code: fieldset { margin: 1em; } My opening table tag is: Code: <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5" border="0"> There are 6 columns in the table. Any ideas on how I can get around this? Thanks. good day! This is probably a simple problem but here it is. http://www.innovativemovesus.com/referral-form.html At the bottom of the form there is a resizable comment field. When the field is expanded to the right, it moves the column to the right along with it. I'd like to prevent this. If only it would be resizable up to, and no more than, the constraints of the table cell. I suspect it has something to do with specifying the width of the cell (which I have done). Thanks for the help! Helllo all, I'm hoping someone with more HTML skills than I have can see where my problem is with trying to modify a pre-built website. I have an area at the top of my webpage where I'm trying to just add a small iframe that will contain a link to a related website. What happened when I added this in what I thought was the right place, is that it appeared in place of where other content was supposed to be. I then tried to contain the problem by creating a table, and given that each of the two existing pieces of content were in div blocks, I put each div block within a table data element (td). Unfortunately, even with specified column widths, the best of the results I've achieved results in my site search content having the button get pushed onto a new line and thus almost invisible, leaving the text input box in place. It's as if the PHP stuff in that div block is somehow pushing the browser to considerably widen the first cell unless I restrict it's width. The site you can see this on is: http://debtfreenewsblog.com The site is somewhat slow - takes 30 to 45 seconds to load (a separate issue, but if you happen to see why, let me know), but once it does, you can use view source and see the very first table and you'll see the resulting HTML. Dreamweaver's design view doesn't do anything to indicate why there's a problem, and kind of hides reality from me. There is a style sheet, or perhaps even more than one, for the site, and as I'm not familiar with exactly how that works together with everything else, that may well be where the problem is. Any and all help will be appreciated. My objective is to just get the search button to come back to the same line as the text input box. Steve (aka sgmunson) You will actually have to look at the site: http://www.avenuemall.com/ I need to know how to create the gray lines around the tables. I hope that explains it well enough. Whenever I do tables there is 2 lines outlining the table (boxing it in) or I put "0" in the border and there is none. It looks like each table is outlined by gray, I need to know how to do that. I looked at the coding, but I just got more confused. Is there are a quick easy answer for this? Thank you, ~eDee Hi Friends, I have placed my SWF file in my HTML page and i upload the file in server. That time i saw the outer line in my html file. I cannt click first time, if suppose click second time, that time only processing. So how can i solve the problem. Any required JS or other some. Vjn Hello I thought my site was good to go until I viewed it on a pc. I took a look at it in IE on a pc and noticed outlines around the graphic nav. Do I need to add a bit of code somewhere? I realized this after a design that I had evolved mainly testing between Firefox and Safari just went retarded in Internet Explorer, and now I'm not sure what to expect. Can anyone outline the main issues that set IE apart? And whether there is a way to circumvent them? Because for everything I've tried so far Firefox Safari and Omniweb all behave predictably and relatively the same. Thanks- Frustrated Fishpaws Website - http://www.jakobmetzger.com/misc/sites/kindlingeffects/ CSS - http://www.jakobmetzger.com/misc/sit...stylesheet.css The CSS that is related to the rollover images in under /*-- Features Rollover Image--*/ Whenever someone clicks one of the features on that page in firefox it leaves a grey box around it. Is there a way I can remove that box or somethign I can do to hide it? I'm sure a lot of you know about the css hack for FF to show nofollow links on a page. I have a question about it. On my site I have some links with two "rel" tags, one of which is a nofollow tag. For some reason the firefox doesn't show the nofollow tag. Does anyone know anything about this? It is ok to have two rel tags? I want to know that my nofollow links are working! I have a problem that is driving me crazy. I am not an expert by any means with html, but I can usually figure these things out, and this one has stumped me. For my site, I have an .png image that is an outline for what I want my advertisement to be located within. Below is the banner: location: Code: http://www.topsocomsites.com/skins/darktheme/ad-outline.png How do I use HTML to insert my javascript ad code that displays my banners to be located in the empty space of the above outline? Thanks in advance for your help! I need some way to automatically change a Frame's contents based upon the title of the RSS feed on the left, I need some way to automatically specify the APPNAME in this URL (for the frame) "http://www.google.com/search?btnI=1&q=APPNAME+site:appshopper.com". This URL loads the App Shopper page for the app it corresponds with. If there is any way to do this, I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you Is it possible to have a <li> without it showing the bullet symbol? I want a list item that does everything a normal <li> does but doesn't look like a list item. Alternatively, is it possible to end a <ul> without unwanted space appearing after it? I want the next item to appear exactly on the next line but no matter what margins I specify in my <ul>'s CSS it leaves a blank line. A solution to either of these issues will solve my problem! Thanks, -sbs Hi, ive been working with a template in dreamweaver and have been able to insert my own banner and sidebar, but there is a small part that I cant find where to edit it...any help is appreciated....screenshot below http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/39/doop.png/ id like to change the green....but cant figure out how Hi guys! I'm having issues getting a <li> element clickable. It only makes the text inside the <li> element clickable. i would like the whole <li> div to be clickable (so that if i click on the background image, it clicks, and not only if i click the text) I have the following HTML-code: Code: <ul> <li1><a href="index.html">THISisTHEtextTHATgetsLINKED</a></li1> </ul> And it is uses this CSS code: Code: ul { display:block; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; margin: 0px 0px; list-style-type:none; } ul li1 { margin: 0px 0px; height: 35px; width: 170px; display: block; float:left; text-align: center; background-image:url(../pictures/hjemknapp.png) } can you guys please help me? Hello, I must explain something in advance so that you understand me better... I use a german auction management service called Afterbuy ( something like merchantrun.com or auctionsound.com ) ...to list items on eBay. That web based service supports predefined headers, footers and variables to minimize the work at each item. After I've set up a new item that way I can see it in a preview. That preview shows it exact the way I want it and expect it. But when I upload the item to eBay, eBay produces 2 small differences which damage the design. Its a very simple table design... but I damn dont know where to fix that! ( And I want to use it for another over 300 items... ) For example one item on eBay: 220545652548 ( just paste the nr on eBay... ) ( theres 1 thin line like hr above and a small white space between the table rows at the bottom... ) And the same item as the preview shows it: http://www.webck.de/preview.html ( That's how I want it to look like... ) Maybe there's someone who can help me out... that would be nice. Thanks a lot!!! Christian I am an HTML n00b and don't understand why this simple example is not working as I would like. I want 2 levels of indentation for list items and then I want the next line to be back at the zero margin. However, the last line is coming out indented as far as the previous list item as though the browser is remembering the margin settings for that item. How do I get the last line back to the zero margin? Code: <html> <head> <style> <!-- p.Standard {margin-top:0cm; margin-right:0cm; margin-bottom:0cm; margin-left:0cm; line-height:128%; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";} li.Level1 {margin-top:0cm; margin-right:0cm; margin-bottom:0cm; margin-left:0cm; line-height:128%; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";} li.Level2 {margin-top:0cm; margin-right:0cm; margin-bottom:0cm; margin-left:1cm; line-height:128%; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";} --> </style> </head> <body lang=EN-AU link=blue vlink=blue style='tab-interval:36.0pt'> <li class=Level1>This is a list item</li> <li class=Level2>This is indented</li> <p class=Standard>I want this back with zero margin</p> </body> </html> hi to all. i need a search script to show directly the resulting elements and not a list of links to pages. also i need to display specific elements from a html page with more elements. pls help me, i searched all over the net but can't find what i need... |
