HTML - Why The Flash Animation Is Not Centered In Firefox
Hi,
can anybody tell me why the flash animation is not correctly displayed in Firefox ? (and only the second time I visit the website) http://lancelmaat.nl/ thanks Similar TutorialsAnyone have any hints about why headings that are perfectly centered in Firefox are sometimes aligned left in IE? Using the following code, if flash is not installed on a computer, while using IE a white box is shown instead of the alternate nested code: HTML Code: <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="Theme/source.swf" width="647" height="61"> <param name="movie" value="source.swf" /> <a href="index.html"><img src="Theme/Banner/Name.gif" /></a><!-- --><a href="index.html"><img src="Theme/Banner/Spacer.gif" /></a><!-- --><a href="http://cart.source-entertainment.net"><img src="Theme/Banner/Logo.gif" /></a> </object> With IE and Flash it displays the flash animation fine, and with Firefox it displays the nested links and images correctly when not using flash, and also displays the flash animation correctly when flash is installs. The only issue is no flash installed on IE. Can anyone explain why this might be happening? Am I missing some IE-specific code? Or is it a problem with my animation? Any help would be appreciated. I made a site using dreamweaver and then embedded three flash animations in it but when I move the page from one place to another on the server it causes the animation to disappear even though i move the animations themselves along with the original html page. I refer to them in dreamweaver as relative to the page they are one. any ideas as to why they dissapear? the page is http://nychandymanondemand.com/ the animations are slideshows that should appear on the right side of the page. on the original page before I moved it they worked fine: http://nycmaidondemand.com/Handyman.html in the dreamweaver preview it shows up fine. the path is correct and the file is upload...but for some reason, I just get a blank space? http://yesplsnothnx.com/index2.html flash animation: http://yesplsnothnx.com/images/ass.swf what am i doing wrong?! I have the exact same table at the very bottom of this page that is centered in both IE and Firefox... http://www.massagelaunch.com/ but on this page I have the exact same table that IS NOT CENTERED in Firefox...any idea why? http://www.massagelaunch.com/affiliates.html Thanks in advance! Greetings from Norway! This is my first post on this forum! I am currently developing my website, and when I checked the page in Firefox, Safari and Chrome it seemed perfectly fine, but when loading it in IE and Opera it looked strange. the page: http://aksjefinans.com/bilde.html In Opera and IE the text in the tables are centered while in the other browsers it is aligned to the left (this is how it should look). Why is the table text centered in IE and Opera? I have looked over my code several times and tried a lot of different moves, but it always ends up like this in IE and Opera. Centered text does not look any good. What should I do to make the page look the same in IE as in firefox? Hope someone could help me! Does anyone know the code (HTML) that will play Flash in both Explorer and Firefox? Hi all. I've been trying to accomplish a simple task with less to no luck, I hope somebody here can help... I'm trying to create a single page with a solid color background, with a square image (let's say 500px * 500px) centered in the page and above the solid color, with some text centered above the image. All of this should work even resizing the window: I mean, the image should resize mantainig its proportions. Is there any way to do this? I tried both tables and css, but had no luck... Thank you in advance. Melmoth Hello all, I just got a job working for a school and noticed their website was pretty much unorganized. So yesterday i took up dreamweaver and created this page(the rest of the site is pending acceptance/working of this main page): http://pratt.broward.edu/colejw/Attucks/ However, it did come with problems. In IE it displays fine, everything seems to work. But.. Firefox doesn't seem to like my menu bar and flash scroller combo. In firefox the flash scroller appears over the drop down menu, below is a picture of what i mean. Everything below the menu bar is in a table, so its not the table itself since the drop down appears over the pictures and other text. The only thing overriding it is the flash scroller. Anyone have any ideas? i played with Z-index and such but no luck and in one instance it moves everything from the menu down over to the right of the menu, i could also be placing the z-index's in the wrong place. If anyone has any fixes please let me know. You may have seen this question before, but I cannot for the life of me find an answer that works. I embedded a .swf flash file on a page on my website. This flash plays perfectly on IE and Chrome, but nothing shows up on Safari or Firefox. I, at first, wrote the code by hand. Then I instead used swfobject to properly write the code (this still hasn't fixed the problem) I used the w3 markup validation site to check the code, and it comes back with 0 errors. Any Ideas? The code is below: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" lang="en" xml:lang="en"> <head> <title></title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="posthink.swf"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> swfobject.registerObject("myFlashContent", "9.0.0"); </script> </head> <body> <div style="text-align: center;"> <object classid="clsid: D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="550" height="400" id="myFlashContent"> <param name="movie" value="posthink.swf" /> </object> </div> </body> </html> (I inserted a space in the classid= tag to do away with the : D turning into a smiley) Thanks for your help. I am using the following code to embed a flash game into my website: Code: <div id="game-position"> <object data="content/games/stickman-sam-2.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="400"> <param name="ShowStatusBar" value="1" /> <param name="src" value="games/stickman-sam-2.swf" /> <param name="quality" value="high" /> <param name="loop" value="false" /> </object> </div> It works perfectly well on Firefox 3.0.11 but when I try to load the page in Internet Explorer 8 it just shows the flash game as a white square? Does anyone know how I could fix this? Thanks I have a jailbroken iPhone 4 and I am trying to get a flash embed to display on it but I am having a lot of trouble. i have successfully used and enabled different flash objects elsewhere but this is the only one that wont run. so I know it will work. HTML Code: <head> <title>iSwim</title> </head> <body> <div style="width: 320px; height: 356px; margin-top: 80px; margin-bottom: 44px;"> <object width="320" height="356"> <param name="movie" value="http://listen.grooveshark.com/widget.swf" /> <param name="wmode" value="opaque" /> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /> <param name="flashvars" value="hostname=cowbell.grooveshark.com&widgetID=22770693&style=metal&bbg=000000&bfg=046cc7&bt=FFFFFF&bth=000000&pbg=FFFFFF&pbgh=046cc7&pfg=000000&pfgh=FFFFFF&si=FFFFFF&lbg=FFFFFF&lbgh=046cc7&lfg=000000&lfgh=FFFFFF&sb=FFFFFF&sbh=046cc7&p=0" /> <embed src="http://listen.grooveshark.com/widget.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="320" height="356" flashvars="hostname=cowbell.grooveshark.com&widgetID=22770693&style=metal&bbg=000000&bfg=046cc7&bt=FFFFFF&bth=000000&pbg=FFFFFF&pbgh=046cc7&pfg=000000&pfgh=FFFFFF&si=FFFFFF&lbg=FFFFFF&lbgh=046cc7&lfg=000000&lfgh=FFFFFF&sb=FFFFFF&sbh=046cc7&p=0" allowScriptAccess="always" wmode="opaque" /></object> </div> </body> Can anyone help me to make sure the flash displays right? what happens is the player loader displays at the top instead of the center and the control buttons are present before it loads. then after the loader fails it shows a "cannot connect" error. so I think the flash object is resizing inside its self. can anyone help me clean up this script so it will display correctly in iPhone safari (with flash enabled)? website is he smalldotdesign.zxq.net/iSwim.html that is where the HTML file is located that I am trying to get corrected. thanks in advance. i have a feeling this is going to be a tough fix. Nevermind. This post can be deleted. Hello all, I have a bunch of rollover buttons on a page which I would love to sequentially animate so that when the page loads they rollover one at a time in a loop prior to any actual mouseover event. Other than making each button an animated .gif (and increasing the size of the image!) is there a way to script an event that will do the image flips? Hi all, brand new here. I'm working on a simple website for a project I'm doing with a friend, but I'm having a problem with the layout. The site is www.Project217.com. On my Macbook, the content on all of the pages appears centered, which is where I want it. Firefox, Safari and IE all display properly. However, on my Windows computer at work all of the content within the black section of the pages is aligned to the left. Is there an issue with my source code that I'm missing? Thanks for any help, Aaron My website is not centered in Internet Explorer but it is in Firefox. Hi, please see this html (u can change txt to html - ignore missing pics and flash) i centered all objects except the menu (custom boots,boots)... i just cant let this to be centered too... thanks in advance For some reason when there is little content on the page, the layout doesn't remain centered. What can I do to fix this? Here is the link to my website: Check out the difference between about and knowledge http://www.organicgardencafe.com/about.php |
