I know how to code them separately, but I do not know how to combine the two actions. Many thanks, Ralfie I am in the process of validating my website to be in compliance with W3C's Strict guidelines, and I ran into a problem with one of my links. The link works fine in that it will open up a new browser window, but the page will not validate properly. Is this possible under Strict guidelines? If so, can someone help me out with the proper code? Here is my link as it appears in my website: <a class="death" href="http://www.graveyards.com/" target="_blank"> Reincarnate Me, Please. </a> Thanks in advance for any and all help! Thanks Here is the case. I have an HTML page that opens a pop-up. Within the popup I need upon click to open a new window. The code is as it should be according to all references: <a href="some url" target="_blank">text</a> Everything is ok with IE6 and IE7 - a new window is being opened. What happens in Firefox is very strange - tabs are shown and the currently opened popup becomes one of the tabs and the new window opens in a new tab of the pop-up window instead in a new normal window. Did anybody encounter the same problem? Any solutions? Hello; I am a graphic designer that codes pages quick and dirty entirely with tables. The one I am currently working on needs to be centered in all browser windows at all sizes. I understand that this shouldn't be hard, however everything that I have tried so far hasn't worked. My thoughts are that since it is built entirely in tables (with a java search tool) that I need to make a centered container and place the entire page inside of it. I have tried a few codes I've pulled from other forums with no luck temporary url (and I know the code is dirty) www.showcasepublishing.com/myoutandabout Thanks in advance ok i have a page that opens another page without the toolbars, however the issue is that i dont know how to make them different sizes, like this page im including here is too small for what is actually on the page. I have to maximize the window. How do i html the code for the size page i want it to be. I hope I am sayong that correct. Thanks in Advance. Hello everyone, I've been stuck on this for a good few hours trying to figure it out. At which i have to come to a conclusion that it's a User Browser preference. I was using the target="_blank", and it just keeps opening in a new tab. Anyone have a simple quick solution to make sure it opens in a new window? I have a site that opens a new window to this link: http://www.myvira.com/part_reg/part_...this_event=154 If you click the "Pay Fee" button link, I want it to open the payment window in a new one but it either keeps it in the current window or back to the main window that this all started from (http://www.myvira.com and then click on the "Register for Race" item). I am trying to center this on a blog. It's on the left side on the page now but I've tried almost everything to get it to be centered. Any suggestions? Everything works OK but the only problem I've got is that the new browser window that opens is too big, the image is nestled up in the right hand corner. Is there a way I can controll the size of the new browser window so that it only displays the image with a minmul white space around it? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. Dyfrig Hello, This is gonna be difficult for me to explain, but here we go. I am wondering how I create a page that automatically (as far as possible) re sizes when you make the window bigger and smaller. So that the use of scrollbar is minimal. Do you understand what I am trying to say? Kind of floating in a way. I am using dreamweaver and am gonna code this site in xhtml strict (right choice?). Have a nice day, helen |
