HTML - Tricky Question
I have one form, in that form I have 2 submit buttons, whenever each button is submitted. it sends all the form data to my action class/next form along with one hidden parameter. Now I want this hidden parameter to be different for each type of button.
Lets say for button 1, i want this parameter' value as first. And for button2, i want this as second. How can I do this without using client side java script? Please suggest me, if anybody can do this. Similar TutorialsSorry for posting to questions in a row... There's a certain web site that prohibits using this type of expression: <p style="color: white"> text </p> They do it to prevent invisible text. Is there any way around it? Thanks. Hello! I'm using a simple template and adding/modifying as I go to create a small website, but I seem to have come across something which looks like a fundamental flaw in the way the page has been coded that I can't get round. I'm not yet good enough to be able to see how I can fix it. It might be really simple, but it's driving me mad! Basically, the template consists of an index page with navigation image, and in this page there is another page embedded - floatingpage.html. So the index page acts like a frame. As it is a very simple site with only a bit of text, I want to have all of my text in the floating page, with anchors to specific sections, linked to from the rolling navigation gif in index.html. However, these links won't work. I have put my anchors in the various sections of floatingpage.html that I want to link to, but the section in the index.html template which has been left blank for anchor links (in a rolling navigation gif) is of this format: <area shape="rect" coords="xx,xx,xx,xx" href="#anchorhere"> so basically this is telling the index page to look for an anchor within the index page, whereas the anchors I really want to point to are in the floating page. If I specify that the anchor is in floatingpage.html, the link merely leads to floatingpage.html on its own, i.e. not embedded in the index page. I'm sure this must be really simple to solve, but I just don't know how! I want the links to keep the floating page embedded in the main page, but simply scroll down to the correct anchor. I would be extremely grateful if anyone could give me a hand on this. Thanks so much!!! cant get this to fit please help correct errors <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <link rel="icon" type="image/ico" href="http://www.525powertracks.com/Equalizer2.gif" /> <link rel="stylesheet" href="/style_2009.css" type="text/css" /> <meta name="description" content="Features the best sites of metal hardrock and death ,metal" /> <meta name="keywords" content="Dark metal designers, metal, hardrock, death metal, lyrics, clips, forums, artists" /> <meta name="MSSmartTagsPreventParsing" content="true" /> <meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="en-us" /> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8" > <!-- _*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_ Created and maintained by J.J/ Alias Darkhat (http://www.designz.se) COPYRIGHT 2009 - 2020, Strong _*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_ --> <script language="javascript" type="text/ecmascript" src="mootools.js"></script> <script language="javascript" type="text/ecmascript" src="mootoolsmore.js"></script> <script language="javascript" type="text/ecmascript" src="flowplayer.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="webtoolkit.cursor.js"> <title>Dark Metal Designs</title> </head> <BODY BGCOLOR="#000000" TEXT="#000000" LINK="#000000" VLINK="#000000" ALINK="#000000"> <body> <script language=JavaScript> <!-- var message=""; As a part of relocating and redesigning the intro page to my website, I have come across a problem that I can't explain much less resolve. The page in question resides at www.hpjenssen.com The css for the page resides at www.hpjenssen.com/style_index.css The page HTML and CSS are both valid within their defined doctypes. The problem can best be described as browser specific to Apple Safari, as this is the only browser I've encountered it in so far. Try loading the page in any other browser and it looks like one solid image until you start mouseover on the links. In safari, you can see the frame where the info loads before you mouseover, it's only a slight color saturation variation from the correct display, but enough to be visible. Has anyone else come across this before? Any idea on how to resolve it? HP. I would have attached a screen, but I am working on a pc and not a mac at the moment, so I don't have safari here. I have the need to have the user input her full name on the first html page and display it on the second html page. I understand that i can use the method POST to pass the name from the first page to second page but I dont know how to get the data in the second html page. The problem is that I am told not to use Javascript or cookies Any help will be appeciated Best, DD I am using a div relative to place text on top of an image. The problem that I am having is in Firefox when a dropdown list is overtop of this div tag, the div tag shows up on top of the dropdown. I do not want this to happen. It does not happen in IE and it allows the dropdown to show up on top. How do I fix this My code looks like this: <div style="left: 15px; position: relative; top: 20px;" border="0"><font size="2" color="#ff8c00"><strong>Example Text</strong></font></div> Thanks. Jeff M On my website, all of the images I've posted, have been created using Photoshop. How is it possible, in order to create clickable links on top of existing images? For instance scattered around the existing image? I guess that this is possible using Dreamweaver CS3, although I am hand-coding, therefore I was wondering if there was another way, and if so, how? Thanks a lot guys. Hey guys sorry to post another question so fast I just am kind of lost with this whole html thing but I'm learning fast =). Ryschwith was more then helpful with my last one so hats off to him. Here is my next problem. A lady here at the company wants me to add a link into our site that says "Job Application Form" and when you click it you download a .XLS file for vendors and customers to fill out. I know this is probably a pretty easy thing but I have no clue on how to position it in a place I want or where to store the file itself and how to point to it. I have googled a couple things but they were honestly above my head and seemed way too complicated for what I was trying to do. Is there a simple method for this? you can look at our site at www.qcrepro.com. Also i am using pagebreeze right now because they won't purchase me any decent software, is there a better free program to use? Thanks alot for helping out. -Joe Hello, I am WGAnubis. I'm fairly new to the world of HTML, having taken a class on it last spring semester. Lately I have been designing sites for the group of online video gamers I run with and have come up with a rather cool looking demo of the site. We all like it but im not entirely sure on how to impliment the design in the way it looks. Im fairly certain I need to use frames but I dont think it would be able to retain the "connections" found in the following image: As you can see, each "window" is connected to each other by what looks like steel connectors. I'd really like to have the website look exactly or close to the demo, but if I use frames im not sure how that would be possible. Is their another way I can go about doing this or do I have to rethink the demo? Hi, is it possible to create a DTD for a xml-file, which can have a structure like any other xml but if in a node a attribut x appears in combination with an attribut y there are some rules which attributs have to appear in that node too. Thanks... p-flash Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to create an image that floats where ever you put it on the page. For example, it would float above this text, blocking it out. Basically I want it to ignore anything around of underneath it. I would also like it not to use scripts, if possible. Oh and one more thing, is it possible to do this between the body tags only? Thanks! I have a real rookie question. I am new to CSS and I was wondering if I need to upload my CSS files to me web server, and if so do they need to go into a special directory on that server? Thanks Hi there, great website! been browsing the forums and searching and havent found what i am looking for, so here goes a post. I have my own website, and I also have a webmail account with my hosting company (ixwebhosting) what i want to do is make 2 little boxes on my website, where you put username and password, and have that then take you to the ixwebhosting webmail login and go in directly to my webmail, can that be done? any ideas or links much appreciated! thanks 4 ur time! How can I copyright or otherwise protect my images online? ____________________ Polo Shirt Printing T shirt Embroidery Is there a way to make the number for a list item in an ordered list a hyperlink? Hello, Is there a method to use a text file to update information on a couple pages at once? I have a "news" section on each of my pages, but whenever i need to update the news i have to change it on each page, which gets very long. I think i remember doing something awhile ago where i would have code in the news section that would read the text file; so i could simply change the news in the text file instead of every page. THanks for the help, JC Hi, I can't believe I joined here in 2005 haha. I hope someone can help me with this. I'm not sure whether this is done with html or CSS but how do I achieve what's done on this page: http://www.slashthree.com/artpacks/view/1572/ So, any sort of navigation menu is on top and when you scroll up and down the content moves but the menu does not. Thank you in advance! Hi guys! Im new to this forum so don't expect much. Im wandering is it possible to load html document without your browser or an html editor. cheers Connor Hello, I have a small customer list, maybe 70 customers, and i want to display on my website in a table with hyperlinks to their website and i want to sort them alphabetically. I entered all the information in MS excel, but when i import the data into dreamweaver cs3 i only get the names and not the hyperlink. Any ideas on how i can do this? I also don't have much knowledge on databasing, so i don't think thats an option unless its the only way, then i'll have to learn it. Thanks |
