HTML - Creating A Website Existing Only Out Of Square Images
Hi people!
I am semi-new to html, and have tried to figure this one out on myself, but it just doesn't seem to work! So I am trying to create a layout for my photo blog, with these standards: * images that I post auto-resize to squares [100*100] * when you click on the image it will show you the full sized version optional: * on the homepage you get the option to click on 'ANALOG' and 'DIGITAL' That's all! It can't be that hard right, am I over-seeing something? I want to use this layout on tumblr, blogger, wordpress, or any other free platform! I have a link right here to give you an idea of what I'm talking about: http://www.oscaralexander.com/lomo/lowlands-08-08/html/ [they aren't squares, I know] Similar Tutorialshi guys, I am a beginner of HTML programming. I just got a job in a small company, and they need me to correct error form the existing website. Hello, I'm new to this forum, so first, hello! Actually, I'm new to web design in general but have taken on the role at the church I work at because our old site was a mess. I downloaded some nice looking templates and have been using them as a foundation. The site is www.miamibc.com. If you go there and look at the header menu (home, about us, etc), I want to consolidate that menu some and add a drop down menu with more choices. Is there a way I can do this while keeping it looking the way it does now? If you need any more info from me, let me know. Thanks for your help! Ben Hello All, I am looking to create a website very similar to this http://www.loserstatus.com/ that is my friends site and I currently have this www.canapictures.com . I like how simple his layout is but it looks sooo much better than mine lol. He hired someone to build it so he has no idea how it was made. Does anyone know if there is a template or something I can use to make something similar, I mainly just want the scrolling box with pictures that are linked to videos like he has on the top of the page below the banner. Hi, I'm looking to create a simple booking form on a html website. It needs to generate an email containing the details for the website owner, as well as show confirmation to the form user that it has posted successfully. I'm trying to establish the best/easiest way of doing this? I have a fairly good grasp of html - but would this involve programming outside of html? Javascript perhaps? If you could point me in a direction it would be much appreciated, Thanks. Hey there, Say I want to create a website by myself, using my own HTML code. How would I do this? I am pretty good with HTML, and know quite alot. But when it comes to finding somewhere to place all the code, it confuses the hell out of me lol. So, a few questions. - What programme is the best for writing your code into? - Once I have saved the code in this programme, how do I upload it through the FTP? (like, where do I place it?) - Is that it, or is there more to it? Cheers guys, Preemo Hey everyone! I don't know much about HTML so please be gentle in responding. I'm setting up a form for online donations for the organization I work for and we're using Paypal to receive the donations. The problem is that I need to be able to let people designate their donations to specific projects and such but Paypal won't do that. I know that I can set up a form on our website that allows them to select the different projects, put in the amounts and then have a box at the bottom giving the total donation. The problem I have is that whenever they fill out this form and move on to the Paypal payment page, they have to re-enter the total donation on the Paypal payment page. I want to eliminate this step, if possible. My question is this: Is there a way to have the total donation amount copied and pasted onto the Paypal payment page so they wouldn't have to re-enter it? Thanks for your help in this matter! Jason This will be my first website, aside of simple projects from my school class. A friend of mine has a website that is currently already up an running. Are there any good free templates out there that could do all this for me? Or maybe some good tools? Thanks in advance I want to build a website that when first entering the website asks for a user name and password. Then depending on which username they enter it goes to their page. On the page a want like a form that they can enter information to and save a text file or something on to the server that they can access at a later date and edit and save again. I want to be able to view this file. How can I do this? Thanks for the help Hello I'm not sure if this is in the right section, but I'm trying to figure out how to make my website more easily maintainable. EG On my site there is a bar on every page with my "latest updates", every time I want to add an update I have to add it to every page which is tiresome. I was wondering if I can just have this bar point to a text file on every page so I can just update this one file and it will be displayed on all pages. Hopefully this isn't too difficult, thanks. I would like to start a credit card website, but I don't know much about html/web design. I am offering someone professional to help build me a website. The site must look like this site: credit-land.com , mainly referring to its templates & color. In addtion, I would like another website, somewhat similar (but not a clone) to this one: get3creditcards.com , so that I can distribute copies of that site to my affiliates to help promote my products. This means, when their affiliate application get approved, I will send them the site to put under a domain name. Also, I need for someone to help set up a tracking system for my affiliates, so they can track their earnings. And I believe this has to be another site? page? If anyone's willing to accept this offer, please PM me or email me sac25274 @ gmail.com and let me know your service price. Thank you very much. Hi, I have created some swap images in dreamweaver and they were working, but for some reason after doing more work to the site, i now cannot get them to work, i have tried deleting the behaviour and reapplying it but that hasn't worked. This is the code on one of the buttons. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to why this might be happening? <img src="images/Contact_On.jpg" alt="" width="107" height="64" id="Image11" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('Image11','','images/Contact_roll.jpg',1)" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()"></td> Thanks a lot your help is appreciated I am working on a website that deals with a form for an electronic check. I pretty much know how to do the code for getting the values, etc, I just do not know how to create the actual forms. I have to create the pages in Visual Studio 2008. Here is what I have to create: The first image explains what is supposed to be in each field of the form. The second image is what it is supposed to look like after the user inputs information to the form. And here is what the result is supposed to be after the user clicks the preview button: So like I said, I know how to do most of the coding, I just have no idea how to manipulate Visual Studio to make the forms look like, or at least similar to, the pictures I posted. I have experience in html and css and some in javascript. So that is not really the issue. I just do not know Visual Studio too well. It seems like there is something easy and/or obvious that I am missing. I played around with VS for several hours earlier and I could not make anything that looked similar the images. Hey everyone, I'm the owner of a small business who had a website made recently. Unfortunately, I felt the style of the designer wasn't what I was looking for so we parted ways. So, basically I am left with a mostly done website, including code for a sliding bar of pictures (sorry for the non-technical phrases) for the online shop section of the site. My problem is I don't know how to upload pictures to the bar! Right now all it has is a "coming soon" picture. Can anyone help? URL is: http://outoftheblue.ca/newarrivalsOOTB.html Thanks! I know that there's a way to prevent people from using the File > Save As feature on a website so that they cannot get the original jpegs or gifs. How would this be done? Of course, you can't stop anyone from photographing products on a website but my customer has asked me to put in this feature. Thanks, Robin Hi! I have just reuploaded my site, which contains 3 image flips, and I am only seeing the outline of where the images should be in both Safari and Internet Explorer. This is strange because before re-uploading, this functioned just fin. Any ideas? Thanks! Here is the problem area: http://www.lolaandcricket.com/loe/index.html |
