HTML - Problem With Forms In Webpage
Hi, we're trying to put together a form on our club website for an upcoming event. People must register for this event. For some reason, when we click on submit during the trial run, we're sent to a "problem loading" page. It's supposed to go to a confirmation page so people can pay via paypal. I've compared the form code against the club registration page and another event registration page and everything looks the same. Where is our mistake? I can't find it. Here is the URL: http://www.houstonparrotheadclub.com...gistration.htm

Whats happening is that when i view my site, some of the images don't appear, i just get the right hand corner red cross box. And a friend of mine who viewed the site had exactly the same problems, with exactly the same images. But two other people who viewed the site had no problems with any of the images not showing! The other wierd thing, is that i will have an image which works on one page, but then won't work on another page, even though it's exactly the same image file. This is only the case for one image which i'm aware of, all the other images which aren't working are consitant throughout all pages. I have contacted my hosting company and they have mentioned it's most likely something to do with my site coding. I don't understand what i could have done to have made this happen though. If one image works, the others should too... or so i would have presumed. All my images are in the same image folder and they are all either jpg or gif files. My website is feedthefitness.com i hope it's ok i mention it on this forum. I think it would be good to be able to have a look at the site to see what i'm talking about. Any ideas of what could be the problem would be greatly appreciated. I've tried up-loading my site a few times and it's made no difference. Thanks in advance. I have just built a web page this week in HTML using Kompozer, and we thought everything was fine, until I got an e-mail from a friend that the page wasn't displaying. The short story is that it seems that the page (www.cpromptcomputers.net) does not always load for people - it gives a 403 error. The strange thing is that it comes and goes - it is not always consistent. I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with my friend who is hostiing it for me this afternoon, and he is as mystified as I am. He has been hosting his own web server for several years, and is certainly not a novice at this, but he can't find the problem. Here's what is happening: 1. It does not seem to be browser specific. This evening 4 different people have messaged me after testing - two on Firefox, two on IE - one of the firefox users and 1 of the IE users loaded successfully, and the others did not. Furthermore, this afternoon my friend downloaded and installed Opera 11 on his laptop and it would not load the page, and I downloaded and installed Opera 11 on my machine and it DID load the page. 2. If a user types www.cpromptcomputers.net/index.shtml, it seems to load every time. It's only when you don't put the index.shtml at the end that problems sometimes come up. 3. Testing on my Android phone, I found that some browsers work and some don't. However, if I have a browser pointing to the page that gives the 403 error, and then turn ON my wi-fi so I'm using my local network instead of Verizon, and then refresh the page it loads fine. If I then turn OFF the wi-fi, so I'm back to Verizon, and refresh the page it often does not load again. 4. This evening at another friend's house, who uses a different ISP than I do at home, I checked both IE and Firefox and neither of them loaded the page. 20 minutes later, both of them loaded it fine. 5. We tried creating a default.html file that re-directs to the index.shtml file, and it worked fine for me, but not my friend who is hosting the web site. 6. My friend temporarily took out the include files in my index page but it did not resolve the problem. 7. This evening, my friend called me at it was working for him again. He had made not changes on the web server. As you can guess, this is driving us crazy because it does not seem to have any consistent pattern. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them. By the way - the web server he is running is the latest software from Microsoft. Thanks! ok so i have a java script that directs someone to a site based upon which radiobutton they choose after the cllick submit and then i have BLue mail form which sends me the form data when they click submit the problem is how do i get both of these things to happen? i created this code to try and figure out how to do it <head> <script language="JavaScript"><!-- function go(what) { for (var i=0; i<3; i++) { if (what.sameName[i].checked == true) location.href = what.sameName[i].value; } } //--></script> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> </head> <body> <form> <form action="http://www.bluehost.com/bluemail" enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post"> <br><input type="radio" name="sameName" value="http://www.google.com"> Google <br><input type="radio" name="sameName" value="http://www.yahoo.com"> Yahoo <p> Name: <input name="first_name" type="text" style="width: 199px;"><br /> <input type="hidden" name="sendtoemail" value="Myemail-address"> <input type="button" onClick="go(this.form)" value="Continue"> </form> </body> </html> I am a HTML noob so i kinda need a step by step or code answer.. Dear I made an html newsletter with dreamweaver and I used the swap image behavior. I can view the result perfectly in explorer. Now I mailed it to my own mailbox (via explorer) and in outlook (and also in hotmail) the swap image effect doesn't appear.(the second photo is not shown) Is there a possibility to see this in my mailbox? I tried to paste the code into my outlook, but that doesn't work with the regular outlook, I only can view the source, not edit it. Thank you very much in advance! Kind regards Sandra I have run into an issue email html code. It seems that some or all email clients use Quoted-Printable encoding when display messages. Quoted-Printable encoding will change the = the 3d= whick for most tags is not an issue. However, our cart provider uses a form for our add to cart, view cart etc.. and cannot interpret the Quoted-Printable encoding. What happens is the tag in there form ID="cartID" is turned into ID3D="cartID" when displayed in an email client... Which fails on our cart providers server. Any help, ideas or suggestions? Until I die, I will never quite understand tables - if someome could shed some light on this it would allow me to keep what little hair I have left. I have a Table with some form inputs in it as outlined below, the problem is this, there is what looks like a 15px space on the right side and I don't know why its there. Two questions: Size="18" - 18 what? I read that these are the size of a space, but if it is, what is the size of a space? Second, width="50" - 50 what? I am assuming pixels, but with all the problems I seem to have with tables, I'm not sure. <fieldset style="width: 260px"><LEGEND class="legend"> <table width="260"> <tr> <td width="240"><input type="text" size="18" etc.> <td width="20 align="right">There is a 10 x 10 graphic here</td> </tr> </table> </fieldset> Hope I made sense, any help or guidlines that could ease my life with tables would be appreciated. Thx Sorry if i posted this in the wrong location. So im a real estate agent making a website. Im no pro and most of the stuff ive been using to build has been through layouts/generators/help of others such as yourselves. So ive been stuck on finding/making this code for the past couple of days. So all my listings are on my agencys website, not my personal agent website. Is there a code i could have where in the listings page my my personal agent website, i could have a window maybe 600x900 of the listing page on my agencys website? To kind of clear things up, you know how when you google something you have the magnifying glass, how it gives that preview. How can i have that preview coded onto a webpage, but me say what webpage to preview and how big to make the preview box? Tried to explain it as best i could. If you dont know the code, if you can tell me what its called so i can try to narrow the google searches. So far everything that has been coming up in the search restults has been preview boxes to preview html codes you have already written. Fail Blog Thanks I'm a novice compared to the pros here and stuck on a couple issues. My website is uspsrealty.com There is some "empty" space on my home page below the horizontal line. I want to remove the horizontal line and have the ability to use that empty space without throwing my borders/margins off. I would like to add about 3-4 sentences in that blank area. Can this be changed so I can add a few sentences? I know why this is happening, just don't know how to correct it. Also want to change the copyright.jpg to 2010 from 2009. Might as well make up a few more jpgs with the years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 Willing to paypal you money for your help. Hoping one of you pros can do this in 30 min and willing to pay $25-30. Contact me he galevin@hotmail.com Thanks, Gerald Levin Hi, i have a problem im not sure how to go about it . So I copied the source, and copied the file free_access.css within the same folder I created an image subfolderd but when I preview it in dreamweaver it tells me it can not find the css file... Is this normal? do I need to upload it to a server first to actually view it... or am I making a mistake thx everyone for the help earlier Matt Hi, Can anyone help me work out how to create a tab on the left hand side of the browser window, a bit like the Convotrack one he http://www.dannywhatmough.com/ Obviously I would want to use my own image/text and just link it to a webpage. Do I need to use javascript? Danny Hi, I am VERY new to web development and I am making a page for my friend. Here's what I am trying to do, I want to use an image that is about 500 pixels high for the background of my page, and then whenever the text grows past that 500 pixels I want to start tiling a different image. Right now i'm just using a table and I have the image as the background. But as expected this just tiles that image over and over again. Is there a way to have it tile a different image without splitting the text up into two tables? Thanks! Evan Take a look at this image. What I want to do is make the background black (which I know how to do), but to add in the black header plus the gray box--same width. What I'm trying to do is my forum is fixed width (in the center, not expanded on browser) and I want to do the same to a new non-forum site starting from scratch. I have a project right now, but when I have finished the project, i'm wanting to recreate my Minecraft server website. But I have a question... I see websites that resize theirselves depending on the screen size.... How would you do this? I know of the % in css, but would I have to use that in each of my divs instead of using px? Hell everyone. This is my first post and im sure it will not be my last here on HTMLforums.com. I am looking to create a web page and host it using godaddy.com.
