HTML - Still New To Html And Need Some Help With The Format Of My Site...
How do sites like MLB.com make it so they have their background and on top of that they have a window that shows their actual site. I want to do this to my site but like I said I am relatively new to HTML
Similar TutorialsI am wondering if it is possible to create an INDEX.HTML to redirect to another website? I would like it to display the redirected site, but if possible keep to the original address.. e.g. A site named www.mysite.com, with an INDEX.HTML to redirect to www.othersite.com, which displays OTHERSITE with www.mysite.com in the address bar. When i review the pages, IE shows them perfect without any formatting issues whereas when i see the pages in Firefox, it destroys the formatting. The tables and the forms would get big or small. Can you give me some suggestions. thanks Purushoth For some wierd reason when I put in a table in my html and I format it so that the table tag is to the left, the tr tag is one indent to the right of the table tag and the td tag is one indent to the right of the tr tag and then I close all of them - when I put the closing TD tag on its own line it causes an extra space on the webpage itself. Before anyone suggests it, they cannot be re-produced for me in a different form. The files are 75Mb each!! Very large html files. I have been asked if I can convert the rendered html view of the files (so not the html source code) to another form, for example RTF or PDF, or any form that is suitable. any help will be much appreciated Hi guys. I'm doing a website for a friend. All is going well but I've hit a couple of problems, the first I think is pretty easy to solve but I can't for the life of me remember what to do; I want some of the main images in the site (logo, background etc) to remain in cache so that when the user flicks pages it doesn't need to load them. I tried a CCS style form but placing the background image (a white square basicly) exactly where I want it, isn't easy. Secondly I want to use a preloader on the site, that preloads all the pages first. I have a series of images that I want to load as part of the progess indicator & want some to apper at say 20% another at 30% etc. Once all the background stuff is loaded it would then automaticly move on to the index page. I've had a play in flash & can get the series of images to play but have no idea how to get this to intergrate with the HTML. Thanks in advance. Ross Okay I'll be very happy of any help I get. Ok, I've created a page for a friend entirely within Fireworks. I have sliced the page and exported it in HTML to Dreamwaver. Now I do this a lot with ebay listings, and I simply upload the slices to a free online hosting company, they then give me the image location and I paste that into the slices src and job done, one pretty listing. Now, I'm trying to use Filezilla to upload the slices of the page in question to their host, which I'm doing easy enough. However, Filezilla doesn't let me see the location of the image, so I've no idea what to paste into the src! After struggling with all the builders though and not being satisfied I decided to learn it myself. I have a domain with webhostinghub. Today I started creating the html for my site and got the front page pretty much done and I wanted to make sure it worked with my host, but I can't figure out how to add it.
