HTML - Page Alignment Question
Hello, I am a page and was wondering how I would align it center in the page without all the formating being messed up. So I was wondering if there was a way to make everything center in the page but look just as it does now, just centered no matter the size of the page. Hope you can help! Thank you in advance.
This is the page I would like the code to center http://www.primenewscenter.com/updat...ncom&buid=4928 Thanks! Similar TutorialsIs there a way to position text? To try and be more specific, I don't want my text all the way to left, or right in the center. I kind of want it halfway. Thanks in advance! Hey all, First post here and new to HTML. I have a question regarding DIV ID alignment conflict with a CLASS alignment. I have a logo that I want aligned left (header ID) with the fade-in slide show script to be centered (DIV CLASS). Here's the code in question: <body> <div id="header"> <div align="left"><img src="images/logo1.jpg" width="500" height="133" alt="Orion Images" /> <div class="centerdiv"> <script type="text/javascript"> //new fadeshow(IMAGES_ARRAY_NAME, slideshow_width, slideshow_height, borderwidth, delay, pause (0=no, 1=yes), optionalRandomOrder) new fadeshow(fadeimages, 350, 275, 0, 4000, 1, "R") //new fadeshow(fadeimages2, 140, 225, 0, 3000, 0) </script> </div> </div> </div> <!-- end of header div --> <br /> CSS: #header, #content, #navigation, #footer { position: relative; } #content { top: 0%; width: 60%; left: 20%; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", Verdana, sans-serif; background-color:#000000; color: #C8C6F0; font-size:14px; font-style:italic; font-weight:lighter; } #navigation { left: 0; width:100%; } I'm new to this so maybe I'm overlooking the obvious or don't truly understand what I'm doing. I've done a search but didn't find an answer to my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks for everyone's time! Hi everyone. I'm new at this, so I apologize if this is a simple or redundant question. I'm trying to create a website where the front page is comprised of 5 rollover image links that, when properly aligned (in this case to the right), form one cohesive image. I have tried to individually align each with align="right" but instead of a column of images aligned to the right and directly on top of each other with no spaces, they are instead being organized like text. In other words, the first image is to the right, than the next two span across the page because there is enough room, then the following two do the same. The result is a scattered and disjointed image. I hope that makes sense. How can I get them to stack to the right with no spaces in between? thanks for any help. Hi there I got a little problem with my website http://www.gone-surfing.com ; the thing is that I would like to have the waveforecast on the right side of the site, where there is currently only an empty black space. And I am simply wondering how this can be done? In a way which enables the waveforecast to progress downwards out there, without pushing the other tables / content downwards. Hope some clever minds can help me out here. Any suggestions? PS! I would like to keep the design like this, it would be a bit too much work changing the whole design due to my lack of webdesign skills. The source code is available here @ gone-surfing.com/index.html A big thanks in advance for any help or suggestions. All the best, Alex Can anyone help with a problem i have with web page alignment? when i publish my site the page is not centred but sits on the left of the screen! i am using dreamwever 4 and not messing about with the code. cheers,jc hi, I am a newbie when it comes to HTML. I developed a web page and the contents of the page is aligned to the left. How would I align the page so that it is centered. Here is the URL for the web page: http://qhcontracting.com/ Thanks a bunch for any replies! GW Hi, I am working for support and got one issue raised.. My webpage has 3 print blocks .. when i minimize the browser the alignment of third block remains same and hence I good horizontal space bar for that while other two blocks align/resize themselves according to new page size.. Kindly suggest which tag /etc i need to check Hi everyone, I'm working on a website for a family member who has a buisness doing antique restoration, I'm trying to make all the pages have the same alignment, the address is http://www.maxbarr.com/ if you click on the buttons along the top you'll see what i mean, some of them are the same alignment others are shifted slightly to the left, they all have exactly the same code as I've used a Dreamweaver template. However they do use stylesheets as well, with the gallery pages using two so I'm guessing it may be that. For bonus marks can someone tell me how to make the copyright information in the gallery section the same size as one the other pages. here is the code for the template: Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; My html skills are limited at best but Im trying to set up a layout template for my ebay sales. what I want is for the page/table to have fixed borders so that the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom doesn't' appear as I enter large amounts of text, instead I'd like to have it expand downwards to accommodate whatever I enter instead of expanding outwards to the right as its currently doing. I realize the code may be a bit of a mess, but Im seriously stuck, I've messed with all the tags but I can't seem to figure out what is causing this problem, any tips at all from anyone would be much appreciated. link to layout http://surrenderyourwings.com/layout.html I am fairly new to web design and was wondering what some of the techniques are to make a page appear to have more on it then it really does. For example, how do you make it appear as if the page contains very little white space? is it best to use a pattern in the background? Is there a way to crop the page to make it smaller? I'm sure there is a way to go about this but I can't seem to figure it out and I'm not that proficient with html or css so hopefully someone here will able to help me out with this. Im working on a portfolio site for myself and this is what I have so far http://www.visualonestudios.com The site contains two main DIV's. One horizonal one for the menu called 'Outer' and one vertical behind it called 'main'. What I want is that the menu section always stays and the content of the main DIV changes depending on what has been selected on the menu. I'm not using any frames so what would be the easiest way to do this and remember I'm html-challenged lol. Thanks I have link to a new page. I want to set the size of that page so that it's about 3"x4". Can I do that? Here's what I got so far <td class="listing"><div align="left"><a href="display_member.php?member_id=<?php echo $row_listMem['member_id']; ?>" target="_blank"><?php echo $row_listMem['name']; ?></a></div></td> Edited: Seo Concerns. how do you make youtube videos small on your profile like... icon size i've seen it on profiles but cant figure it out hi, I have one question I have one index page <index.html> with iframe it displays: info.html, contact.html, and main.html it default src="main.html" if I creat a link from the other page eg. <hot.html> from <hot.html> I want to make a link just a single click it will go to <index.html> but in the iframe displays <info.html> instead of <main.html> how the codes should be like? Thanks. (This is one of those stupid 'Why do they do that?' questions. I'd ask them, but I'm worried it's really obvious and I don't want to look like a mook.) I've noticed a couple of teachers at my College set up websites that take up only part of the page. For example, this one page is 440px in height and 775px in width. This leaves a lot of white space, because the page is huddled up in the NW corner of the page. At first, I thought it was for visually hindered people, so when they zoom in, the text would be larger, and the page would fill out larger as well, take up the whole screen. But zoom doesn't actually change the page's height/width. Any thoughts? My current web site is at "CAVAglass.com" I created "http://www.cavaglass.com/gallery/1.GORMENGHAST.htm" and want it to be my new Index Page. All the links work fine here. When I rename "http://www.cavaglass.com/gallery/1.GORMENGHAST.htm" as "index.htm", and open my "CAVAglass.com" website this home page looks fine, but no links work. Any suggestions? Best, Joseph How do I figure out the lenght of the page (content, not browser window) so that I can make all of my regions line up at the bottom? I noticed that % in the height attribute is related to the window not content. I have also tried auto, but that is different for different content. My page has an outside region, a left nav bar and a content region, and I don't know how to make the bottom line up without tables. Sorry if this is confusing. Thanks in advance. |
