HTML - Using Dreamweaver Cs3 To Build A Site Wih Over 20 Subpages
I just finished with basic index.html page for my website. It will have 20 or more subpages - they will all use same design.
I don't want manually change all the links on every page if one day I add menu link or something like that So any ideas how to do that automatically in Dreamweaver CS3? Similar TutorialsHi guys I want to build a simple HTML site on WordPress but I don't want to use the templates they offer there. I also want to add java script effects. Or is there a way to modify the design of big areas in case I do use a custom template? Natalie I have read various post all over the net about site problems in IE but ok in Firefox, Safari etc. Well, I have that problem too and have failed to identify the problem within my site. I am a novice websiter - relying on DW to do most of it for me! Looks ok in Firefox and Safari. I am suspecting the image sizing code could be a factor? I'm using Dreamweaver on win XP (incase that helps) My page uses a free css template. http://www.justdreamweaver.com/templ...me/index.html# Is an example on how it looks. As you can see its setup 4 "frames" by lack of better word. A header A FeatureWrapper A LeftColum A Content <this is where the question is going to be about or sorta> A Footer Pretty standard nothing to fancy. I made an index.html with everything on it and (for the sake of argument 3 sub pages) We will call them PageA, PageB and PageC. I made the EXACT same page 3 more times except the Content "Frame" is different. This causes 2 "problems" that have me doubt if I'm right doing it like this. 1. If i change something in the 'LeftColum' I need to update 4 pages; 2. When click on PageA, everything is reloaded header, feature, colum, footnote and content. This generates traffic and is inefficient. Isn't there a way that PageA, B and C only have the 'Content' info so when you click only that "frame" is reloaded. I have tryed to do so but have been unsuccessful. I didn't want to flood the forum with code etc. (which if needed I'll zip and add as an attachement) Am I correct with my bold and italic statement. When button is in actioned state (pressed), the border-style of its div must be "inset". Hello all, I noticed there are more than a handful of different scripting languages, markup languages, and many different methods to building a modern day website. A website that allows users to create their own accounts and such, what should I need to know? Is learning HTML + CSS really a good starting point?
