HTML - Blog Portion Of Site Zooms In...
It seems, at least on my computer, that when I choose the blog page on my "site in progress"... that the page sort of zooms in.
I thought at first it was because the page used a scrollbar and the other page didn't, but then I created another page with a scrollbar, separate from the blog, and it did NOT do the zoom effect. You can see the site in question he http://www.pzfantasyfootball.com As you can see, most noticeably in the navigation, the font looks fine, not blurry, not too big, just right. When you click on the blog page, the font becomes blurred and slightly bigger. I'm running the latest Firefox on a 1440x900 monitor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Similar TutorialsHi I am new to this site, I am having problem in my non blog site. I was trying to integrate wordpress blog in my non blog site. I am nearly done only few issues. Please keep in mind that the template I am using utilizes the 'classic Blogger template' so I am editing the template installed from the ground up. This is a work in progress and I will likely have more questions but for now there is only one main thing I would like to change. The right sidebar is AJAX enabled, but I would like to change the color of the headers 'about matt & the blog', 'other worthy blogs around the web', etc...As of right now their default color is the gray with dark gray outline/bottom padding. I just don't know where to find this to edit it within the template. Link to current site: http://voight1.blogspot.com/ The template text is too large to fit in this post - but you can view the page source or I will be happy to email you the template text. THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE! I'm trying to create a page where I can submit a form and have it appear on my home page, similar to a blog. I'm trying to keep this simple, just one page to type things, and have it appear on another page. This is for my band's website and I need a simple way for all of us to post to our news section on the home page. (I've tried to use wordpress, blogger, etc. I don't think trying to post blogs on a blogging site and have it transfer to my site is going to work. I've had to many problems getting it to work.) Okay a simplified version of my problem is this: I have a small table of 2x2, with the right two cells merged. I have content in the right cell in the form of text. The cell has the following formatting: overflow: hidden; and the text has the following formatting: position: relative; left: -91px; vertical-align: top; text-align: justify; The left cells are 182px wide, so the text looks like it is centered with respect to the entire table, with the overflow into the left two cells being cut off. The problem now is, I only want the text covered by the top left cell to be cut, and I want the text in the bottom left cell to still be visible. I tried using the 'clip:' property, but you cannot specify a non-rectangular area so it's of no help to me. There is an image in the top left cell, and nothing in the bottom left cell, so the other way to fix my problem would be to find some way of having the overflow appear BEHIND the other elements, so that the image would cover the text, and the empty cell would not. Is it possible to draw only a certain portion of an image using img? I want to take this radar and only have it draw a rectangle around where I live instead of the whole image. Is there a way to specify what coordinates to draw using img? Hello! Just a quick question really... Have you ever visited a website, clicked a link within the site, and noticed after doing so that only a portion of the page has changed? The diagram attached will hopefully help explain I am trying to achieve. i basically want a page consisting of two columns. The left column (nav) will be my navigation panel and contain links that when clicked by the user, the content beside it in the 'right' column (content) changes. Please can anyone suggest how i can achieve this? I have experimented with frames and floating frames (iframes) and it does work, yet I understand that frames are not supported by all browsers? this worries me! Can this be achieved through css? Are there any of you that know of any tutorials that can help me? Please, any help will be much appreciated! Is there a way to change the way IE handles transparent portions of an element - like a 200x200 pixel div with borders but no background? Firefox will consider "onmouseover" for the entire div, but IE seems only to react to the thin border. So, I can make a simple drag-and-drop div in Firefox, but in IE you have to pick the 1 pixel border to drag it around :-( Putting a transparent image in the div does not help, since this will make the browser itself grab that image, ignoring my script. How can you make the div become selectable in IE too? All the best Robert Hi I've built a website for my karaoke show, and would like to add a blog page to the site. Rather than 3rd party, I'd prefer to have my own blog on my own domain to increase traffic for the SE crawlers. I was wondering... - what some good options are ie what blog software to use - if I can have a blog that somehow incorporates Facebook and Twitter (i've seen Facebook connect, but I'd like something that posts my blog messages to my Facebook and Twitter pages) I currently have a Typepad blog on there, but as I said, I'd prefer to have my own blog code, not third party. The site is www.billygoatkaraoke.com.au , and I'd really like the blog to stay on the site - I'm thinking that I'll have a blog page open up over the goat when someone clicks on the BLOG link. Cheers Shaun I am wondering if it is possible to create an INDEX.HTML to redirect to another website? I would like it to display the redirected site, but if possible keep to the original address.. e.g. A site named www.mysite.com, with an INDEX.HTML to redirect to www.othersite.com, which displays OTHERSITE with www.mysite.com in the address bar. Hope I explained ok, any responce would be much appricated! Thanks! I use blogger and I have a search bar on my blog. It's on my navbar and I need to move it to the right so I can add more links but I don't know how to move it. Can I get some help please? I used a template for my main page and tweaked it a lot (www.cleaneducation.org). The main template is mostly html with a css file. I had never seen how blogs were done until now and see that there is no html index at all but only a php file associated with a css file... So my question is how to I get my html/css template to convert to the necessary type (assuming php/css) for the blog. The blog is an internal blog for the directors (myself included) to keep in touch with one another and to keep up to date so if it's really hard to get it to look like the main template it isn't a huge deal but if it's possible I personally would prefer it. Oh yeah, I am using wordpress for my blogging software (really easy install through the hosting company I use). Hi, EDIT: Problem fiixed. I have a website build with frames. I have a section called "News" that I want to be able to put the most updated news in, similar to a blog. I want a blog style interface, that way I don't have to edit the HTML of the page every time I want to add a new piece of news. I do not want an SQL based blog however. I've looked into some PHP based blogs, but it "looks" too much like another website loading inside this frame (which I know it IS, but I don't want to give that appearance). My website is *White* so is there a solution to adding new news in a blog style format without an entire blog inside the frame? I just want to be able to easily add new news to an HTML page without actually going in an editing the HTML. How do other websites deal with adding news to a news page so that a client could easily edit their own news? Thanks! what up everyone, im new to HTML, but basically i made a blog.. www.thecapitaldigest.com ok well i need help, im using word press and im using someones template for my site. I want to change the main picture on the site(the nyc) to one of my own..can anyone help me with this? ive tried changing it but it goes blank... if you reload my site the main nyc pic changes its on random pic...can anyone hook it up? it would be very appreciated! Hi there, Could somebody here tell me what this particular kind of website is? http://www.ozbargain.com.au/ it is not a forum and I don't think it is a blog. Would I be able to buy templates like this off the web? Thanks Hi: I wish to create a 'blog' that *I* control, and where the blog content would reside on my own Apache Server at my home. Is this reasonable and/or easy to do, OR should I use a commercial blog site (e.g., www.blogger.com) For example, I'd like my visitors to access my site (www.myblogsite.org) and then 'Vent their Spleens' on the subject of interest (which will be Heallthcare in the USA and its prospects for change, and the rantings about 'socialism' on the Fox Channel). Thanks for any guidance. -Mel Smith Hi Everyone! I'm new to this forum. I have this problem about commenting in blogs. how should you know if you can use html codes in blogs if you're commenting? |
