HTML - Looking For A List Of Tags With Code Between Begin And End Tag
I'm writing a program that reads an HTML file, then alters text that is viewable by the users. So I don't want to alter the text within a tag. I also don't want to edit the text that is between or between because that defines the way the HTML file works. These are the only two tags I know of that has code between their begin and end tags. Are there any other tags that I need to be concerned with?
I would also like to know if the tag list at http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ is a complete list of HTML tags? Thanks you. Similar TutorialsI'm working on getting an article formatted, and have run into a problem putting links to sources in superscript. When used throughout the body of the article, the tags are working exactly like I'd want them to. However when I use the exact same tags after text in a bullet-point list, the font size for the link is larger than in the rest of the article. You can see what I mean he http://www.whatarenootropics.com/noo...ist/piracetam/ Any ideas why this is happening? I have a big list and I want to show on my webpage 6lines from that list randomly (when webpage is refreshed another 6 lines appear). can anyone help me with he code, how should the list look like so it works...or where can I find more info on this ? thanks All my code is filled with these tags in my html page, but not all of my code. How can I remove these tags and make a better structured layed out web page. When I remove the tags, I will need an alternative html tag to replace the tag. My tags store stuff about my web page, so I need a html tag that is a replacement and a structured way to put my data in the web page. Any expertise would be great. Thanks, Chris I am having problems with putting HTML code into an RSS 2.0 description tag. If I escape the HTML using , the HTML shows up fine when the feed is viewed with Firefox 2.0, IE7, and various feed readers. The problem occurs when browsers like IE6 and Netscape view the .xml feed, as these do not support native RSS. To allow the latter browsers to easily display the feed, I use XSL to transform the XML into something much nicer. However, the escaped HTML shows up as literal characters (code) in the feed when viewed with IE6 and Netscape. How can I show HTML in the description tag of an XML feed using XSL? I also get literal characters when trying entity-encoded HTML. PLEASE HELP! I'm working on a project and I want to add the following code to my page, but it's not working out. My table may be a mess.
Fresh Fruits

Strawberries

Kiwi

Pineapple

Apples

Bananas

Dipped Items

Oreos

Marshmallows

Pretzels

Gummie Treats

This is my page code. Would someone show me where to place the above list code?

Custom Chocolate Menu

Thank you in advance, Karen i'm looking for a cheap way out of making collapse/expand code. i've learned a lot of 'ghetto' techniques n thought mayb i can use something similar to the html tricks i've learned in the past. the theory i have is.. i use the title of the collapse/expand text as a link to the text below it to open and close by using the navigating tags: Code: opening/closing text here and the title above the content: Code: Title to open the area of text. now my idea of a shortcut around the whole css/html/javacript combo is to make the text below it use a Code: content at default and have the href title link change the font size to the default 9pt but I don't know if that's even possible. Is it possible with the Code:
tags? and if so, using that, would i still b able to make a link like that? I would like to have a "User" or "Memebers Only" section on our website. What differs from other HTML code that I have been able to find is that what we would like to do is from our login page have have a specific page come up depending on the "User Name" and "Password". We DO NOT want to have a list of other users to be shown though, we have found a code that has a list to select from but this shows other users. I just have a problem with the placing of a picture on a page. My website is www.fcumania.co.uk, which was created mainly with the use of a website designer - though these days I just edit it through Notepad. I have a problem whereby I need to add a small picture in the box where the crude "Hi-Resolution pictures" form is located. I can't seem to be able to edit the code, and the div tags in order to do this. I know it has something to do with the CSS, and so presuming you can view the source code on the main site, the CSS files are located he www.fcumania.co.uk/index_p.css www.fcumania.co.uk/index_g.css I'm sure all of you on here will be able to resolve this, and TIA if you can. Alastair. hi my name is salil. m working on a website completely in .jsp all the links are called in div containers. so just wanted to ask if is it possible to use the back button of the browser in that case... if yes how can we use it? currently when i click on the back button of the browser then i go to the previous visited site. thanking all of you for your feedbacks. salil Hi all, I'm working on a wordpress site with nextgen plugin (not really important) My problem is this: Let's say i have this structu HTML Code:

Now if my img is 100px height, the
still stays 0px, and i think that's because of the tag. But the
has to adjust its height to whatever height the is. How can i achieve this? I hope you understand what i mean here Thanks already. Should be something simple to figure out, I know... but I'm having some trouble with the div tags in a section of my site. What I'm trying to do is place a few images side by side, 160 pixels from the top and center alignment. It places the images 160px from top but not in the center... This is the code I'm using:
Why won't it work??? I was doing reading and practicing at the w3 site and came along the
/
tag section. I find it easier using these tags instead of the
/
tags as you don't have to insert
tags everytime you want to start a new sentence within your paragraph. Does it really matter as far as coding goes if you use this or is it just considered not proper coding techiques? Note: Also,i added a paragraph at the very end of my test page just using the
/
tags and the "Style/Type Attributes" did not apply to it.Why is this? Kindly, Texan i have a problem about using div tags in general and positioning layers on a page. i'm a beginner so forgive my way of asking but i would appreciate any help i could get in understanding it. Who can HELP ME with divs Hello there, I need some help with my DIV tag as it isnt doing what I tell it to do. Heres a screenshot of it: And here is the CSS code: Code: body{ background-image: url(img/bg.gif); font-family: verdana, arial; font-size: 12px; color: black; } #content{ height: 100%; width: 750px; background-color: #afafaf; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; border: medium; border-color: red; border-style: solid; padding-left: 5px; padding-top: 5px; } #copyright{ height: 20px; width: 740px; background-color: #9f9f9f; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; padding-left: 5px; padding-bottom: 15px; border: medium; border-color: black; border-style: solid; } Its the "copyright" one that is messing with me, as you can see the red border is there. But the small div tag wont center in the div tag. I hope you understand what I mean hello, I have a html file that contains many lines. I want add a tag in every line so that I can display them with different color. How to do it? Thanks Hi I'm currenty learning how to use div tags I was wondering if anyone had any resources on the attributes of the div tag, havent came across anything that relates to the code i am currently working on. HTML Code:

Division 1

Does div tags generally just handle borders or can u fill a division with colour as in make a rectangle or whatever?
