"I didn't want to leave him open tonight. I just tried to send him in with the big guys. Not just me, but they did a great job as well."

Rondo scored just two points on 1-5 shooting, however, he had some veteran support from his teammates that helped the Celtics earn a 94-87 victory over the Rockets.

Paul Pierce continued his scoring run since coming back from injury, contributing 26 points, while helping the Celtics win three straight games.

The coveted match-up between Rondo and Brooks was the biggest headline coming into this game, but it was the Celtics' return to defensive prowess that marks the headlines early this morning. The Celtics held Houston to just 39% shooting from the field, due partly to the efforts of defensive-minded player Kevin Garnett.

"We kept everybody intact for the most part," Garnett, who scored 15 points in the victory, said of Boston's defense. "It was just a collective effort. We needed that with a team like this."

Ray Allen continued his post-All-Star break dominance as well, scoring 3 three-pointers in just 4 minutes after Houston tied it at 52. Houston would then miss 5 straight shots, helping the Celtics strengthen their lead to 72-62 to start the fourth quarter.

"Executing offensively, that's been our Achilles' heel, when we've been bad," Allen said. "With bad offense, you put teams in transition, and we don't give our defense a chance."

Luis Scola and the newly-acquired Kevin Martin scored 17 apiece for the Rockets, but Pierce's back-to-back three-pointers with 5 minutes left in the game stretched the Celtics' lead to 88-77, queuing the fans to start exiting the arena.

The Celtics will hope to continue their run and win their fourth straight game as they will visit the American Airlines Center to take on Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks starting at 9 P.M. on Saturday.
previous page

HTML Comment Box is loading comments...

Copyright ©. I have the option to edit the HTML, but don't know where to begin. Here's a link to my Tumblr page. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you. I recently updated my homepage to include more text, and moved some of the image buttons around. I noticed however, that if I view the site and increase the size of the font (control+mouse wheel) it also increases the amount of spacing between the buttons, enough to move one of the images to the next row. Is there any way to stop these images from moving? The site is he http://www.bacchanalpromotions.com The current code is written like this, I think the margin tags are what gets increased when the font size goes up, but I don't know for sure... I tested on Firefox 3.6, at 1400x900 resolution. Code: <img height="100px" width="123px" src="performers_images/home-sideshow.png" onmouseover="this.src='performers_images/home-sideshow2.png'" onmouseout="this.src='performers_images/home-sideshow.png'"alt="" /> Hi guys, This is a great site, it will be really useful for me. I am developing a site at www.mediacovered.com and I have an issue on the homepage. If you look at the text in the white box on the right (i.e.Take Control of your media etc.", this looks pretty good on all browsers/platforms. However in the white bar near the bottom which has a javascript content slider script on it and shows core services, it seems in Internet Explorer only (Fine in firefox), the font is anti-aliasing and looks jagged. Can anyone else see this and shed some light on why it's doing it? The font in Lucida Grande. Cheers for your time in advance Andy Hello this is going to sound really basic so any way How do you style font to appear in the middle of your page using CSS as im aware you can either float left or right, am i right in saying you have to use padding? margins? to get it to be where u want it to sit? Below are the two sites I will use to explain my problem. For reference, I used Mozilla Firefox 3.08 and Google Chrome 1.0.154.53 in my tests. Example 1: http://www.irishbyname.com/example1.htm Example 2: http://www.irishbyname.com/example2.htm When browsing the site in a browser other than Internet Explorer, example 1 and example 2 center to different locations on the page. In example 1, I set the height of the content area to be 200 px tall. In example 2, I set the height of the content area to be 500 px tall. When I have example 1 open in one tab and example 2 open in another, I can alternate between the two tabs and see a visual difference in alignment. The HTML code on both pages is exactly identical with the exception of the height of the content area. Can anyone tell me why the horizontal page center changes based on the height of the page? Can anyone tell me how to change my HTML to make certain the page centers correctly no matter how tall the page is? Thanks for your help in advance. Does anyone know of a font face generator that can convert a TTF or OTF font file into the 4 formats (woff, svg, eot, ttf), that's not font squirrel? That site only supports English fonts with a very low file size limit, and can't convert any foreign fonts. Already tried http://onlinefontconverter.com as well, doesn't work either as I waited like an hour then the server simply deleted my uploads without so much as an error pop-up lol, and now the website is not responding. This is for usage in CSS using the @font-face function. Thanks. Hello, When I try to set a font in HTML it works, but if I set a rule in my CSS to set the same font, it doesn't. Here are the three things I do (not at the same time of course): ... ... ... vs body { font-family: Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica; } or even... body { font: Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica; } Out of all of those, only the first can change the font in my browser...is this a CSS issue because, somehow, the browser has superiority over CSS, and HTML has superiority over the browser? I would appreciate input. Thanks. how can i keep my pages from squeezing together on an 800 x 600 screen resolution? - bargainzebra.com I have a page (refer.php) that has a form with two fields and a link at the bottom that leads to the (refer.php?extra=TRUE) which is the same page but with ten fields instead of two. How do I make it so that when the link is clicked, it doesn't reload the page but instead just adds the additional fields? This would keep any information already placed in the two fields, which is what I really want. Thanks. I'm very new. I've created a page with some help. My page is very simple but it works alright. But it's got some little problems. Like it starts out laid out in one format but after a click on the submit button it adopts a different format. Because, I guess, of the new data written to the screen. But I'd like that not to happen But don't know how to fix it. And secondly I've used tables to lay out the page and I've read that tables are deprecated for this purpose. Well, I'd like to move with the times and do it some other way: divs are the way, I think, but a google around about how to do that seemed to indicate you've got to get into some pretty tedious and involved calculations of your box starting and end points, margiins, widths and god knows what...... Is that really the way to go... or are tables good enough? Or is there some other way? The page can be seen at greenpepper.org Hi all : I want my web site to seem in full page in all browsers . But it is in fixed size and it only seems in the middle of pages . Ex . Please see my site . www.coderelector.com . As you see the template is in the middle but I want my page to be like www.getafreelancer.com . Full screen .... Ok i'm very new so please be as specific as possible in answering! Thanks! I'm making a site with music reviews, so i want and easy way to cataloge the artists. I have seen on other sites where they will have the letters of the alpabet in a row at the top. Then when you roll the mouse over each letter the bands beginning with that letter appear on the same page. No links, but the page changes when the mouse rolls over another letter and so on. I hope i made that as clear as possible. Thanks, and again be as basic as possible! |
