HTML - How To Create A Drop-down Select Menu (desperate)
I want to sell some stuff over the internet like cloths....
And I use Pagseguro (Its a brazilain thing, like paypal). So, I have this wordpress site, with pagseguro plugin installed on it. To add products on my posts I use the following code to get the Add to cart button. HTML Code: <object><form method="post" action="" style="display:inline"> <input type="submit" value="Adicionar ao Carrinho" /> <input type="hidden" name="product" value="[b]PRODUCTNAME[/b]" /><input type="hidden" name="price" value="PRODUCTPRICE" /><input type="hidden" name="addcart" value="1" /><input type="hidden" name="cartLink" value="<?php the_permalink() ?>" /> </form></object> The thing is, the plugin is really simple. All it does is: show "add to cart" button and the "pay" button. And like I said, I want to sell cloths. To sell cloths there got to be the Sizes: "S""M""L" and color. And what I wanted to do is: Create a form like this: HTML Code: <form name="jump"> <p align="center"> <select name="menu"> <option value="URL">Text that will appear in the choices</option> <option value="URL">Text that will appear in the choices</option> <option value="URL">Text that will appear in the choices</option> </select> <input type="button" onClick="location=document.jump.menu.options[document.jump.menu.selectedIndex].value;" value="GO"> </p> </form> (I found that on http://personal-computer-tutor.com/dropdownlist.htm) On the options there would be the sizes for my clients to choose. And on the "ADD TO CART CODE" (the first code on the top) on the "PRODUCTNAME" part would be a PHP or something that would gather the clients choice and add it there. So when he press the button the product he chose would show on the cart with the size in parentesis. Like this: HTML Code: <object><form method="post" action="" style="display:inline"> <input type="submit" value="Adicionar ao Carrinho" /> <input type="hidden" name="product" value="Alpinestars (<?php GET FORM VALUE ?>)" /><input type="hidden" name="price" value="PRODUCTPRICE" /><input type="hidden" name="addcart" value="1" /><input type="hidden" name="cartLink" value="<?php the_permalink() ?>" /> </form></object> (for the button) and if he chooses small it be like this on the shopping cart: Alpinestars (Small) I know its really difficult to understand My english is really bad. But im really sad because I cant do this by any way. Could yall please help me with my problem? Thank You. I want that same effect on a select form with a size of 30. I imagine the solution lies in some javascript onmouseover function, but I couldn't find anything. Help? hi My code is- <HTML> <HEAD></HEAD> <BODY> <TABLE> <TR><TD> <SELECT NAME="Date"> <OPTION>1</OPTION> <OPTION>2</OPTION> : : <OPTION>30</OPTION> <OPTION>31</OPTION> </TD></TR> </TABLE> </BODY> </HTML> it will show the numbers from 1 to 31 in the drop down with long scrollbar. My problem is - I want show only 10 numbers.User need to scroll and select other numbers. Is it possible? How can I drop down a select list with onmouseover instead of clicking it. Select list cannot be clicked in javascript to emulate that. eg: onmouseover="(this.click())" Also setting the 'size of select list' = 'its length' in javascript does not accurately emulate the click event because the adjacent layout changes. I tried using z-index and position attribute but doesn't help. Hi all, I have a menu as a list.... <ul> <li><a href="/jsp/forms_center/hr_general.jsp">HR General</a></li> <li> </li> <li><a href="/jsp/forms_center/benefits.jsp">Benefits</a></li> <li> </li> <li><a href="/jsp/forms_center/payroll.jsp">Payroll</a></li> <li> </li> <li><a href="/jsp/forms_center/it_forms.jsp">IT</a></li> <li> </li> <li><a href="/jsp/forms_center/office_forms.jsp">Office Services</a></li> <li> </li> </ul> From this I would like to have a separate sub-menu for each item on the list. For example when they move the mouse over benefits a separate menu should come up showing different benefits. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help, Jehan Hey guys, Im relatively new to html, although i have a good amount of college programming experience. What im trying to do is create a static menu (home, about us, products etc.) so that every sub page of the site can reference it without needing the menu code as part of that sub page. This is for obvious reasons: if i want to add a menu item, i dont want to have to add its link to the 'home' page, the 'products' page etc. Hopefully this makes sense. If this has been posted before, i would gladly take a link. I tried searching, but am unsure of the proper query (because i barely know how to explain what i mean in english lol) Any help is just awesome. Thanks, Travis p.s. Im no good with CSS; if there is a way of avoiding them that'd be great. This is hobby, and i will learn if necessary but would prefer not to. Hi All, I've been asked to make some hyperlinks that automatically select items in a drop down menu in a contact form. Is this possible if so, how is it done Thanks in advance Bluestreak I would like to create a hierarchical text menu for my site, that does not require me to have a different menu for each page. I am currently creating UL's for each page then adding that to the page to display the menu. Example: Creating page called "Sidebar.htm", adding a UL, then using webbot to add that page to the home page: <ul> <li><a href="foundationvents.htm">Automatic Foundation Vents</a></li> <!---<li><a href="#">Home Insulation</a></li> <li><a href="#">Security Systems</a></li> ---> <li><a href="waterheaters.htm">Tankless Water Heaters</a></li> <!---<li><a href="#">Home Windows</a></li>---> </ul> I then create another page called "Sidebar1.htm", and proceed to do the same thing for the next page: <ul> <li><a href="foundationvents.htm">Automatic Foundation Vents</a></li> <!---<li><a href="#">Home Insulation</a></li> <li><a href="#">Security Systems</a></li> ---> <li><a href="waterheaters.htm">Tankless Water Heaters</a></li> <ul> <li><a href="waterheaters1.htm">How do they work?</a></li> <li><a href="waterheaters2.htm">How much can I save?</a></li> </ul> <!---<li><a href="#">Home Windows</a></li>---> </ul> There has got to be an easier and more organized way to create a hierarchical text menu and I would appreciate any suggestions about how to do it. Thanks, Chuck I've made an incredibly simple html page as an active desktop for a gpo policy, however there's been an uproar about colours so I thought I'd give it a stab to have a drop-down box to select from a range of colours for the body style tag. Any suggestions? <html> <head> <!--808080--> <title>ArchitenBG</title> <STYLE type="text/css"> body { background-color:#3A6EA5; } #div1 { position: absolute; size: 50%; bottom: 0px; right: 0px;} </STYLE> </head> <body> <div id="div1"><img src="Talbg.png" /></div> </body> </html> I am wanting to link to a certain option in a select list via an anchor link on another page. Each option displays different info below it using javascript. Example: I have a date on a php based calendar linking to a events page. On the events page is the select list with different events that will show below the list when selected. How can I link that specific date to that event so that it is displayed? Is this possible? Hey all! I'm trying to set a predefined value in a <select> menu, that is to say, I want something to be highlighted before the user does anything. I've tried the following: <select name="test" size="2" value="x"> <option>x</option><option>y</option> </select> This does not work. Any advice would be great! Thanks for your time. Hi All! I would like to make a drop down box with all the departments of my company. Basically the user would select a dept and without refreshing or opening a new page the information would appear below. I have seen this before using a database but is there a way to do it without? Dear HTML Experts, I need your help, I would love to have a dropdown menu. Which drop out of a image? Like when your mouse is at the image, the menu shows up vertically? Thanks Hey, Kinda new to this so bare with me. Im using Trellian web page to do some updating on our companies' website and they just asked me to make up a sort of parts catalog for our inventory we have here. I thought the best way for the person visiting the website to find the parts they need is to have drop down menus.Ive been trying so hard to make this but i just keep failing. This is what i want to do. The first one would ask "Make..." they would click that and scroll down the list to find the Make of their machine. Once they click their machine, another drop down menu would appear underneath of that asking the model and the menu would contain all the models associated with the make of the machine. And i want to have another one appear under that once they click on the model. Is there anything or any place where i can find a nice tutorial on how to make this dream come true.....? something like this http://www.wengers.com/Parts/TractorParts.aspx I have a drop down menu on my page, and I want to change the background color of the box from white to match the rest of the page, how do I do this.
