HTML - Image And Text Alignment Within Div Tags
I've read all over various ways of making the image and the text align horizontally, yet somehow I can't get the darn thing to work in my website. I'm thinking it maybe because of DIV tags
I have the following code: <div class="column1"> <div class="column2"><img src="images/logo_sm.png" border=0 height=97 align="bottom"> It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of </div> <div class="clear"></div> </div> The text is still aligning to the top of the image even though I've indicated bottom alignment. What am I doing wrong or what don't I know? Please help. thanks Navs Similar TutorialsI know this should be relatively easy, but for some reason I cannot get this to line up write. This is the page I am using as an example: http://gamingunwrapped.com/game/kirby-mass-attack/ Where I have the information listed such as Genre and Release, I have more than one item to list. Hello Everyone, I have just started learning html and I am facing a problem. I have wrote the following code in notepad: Code: <h3> HTML Images - The <img> Tag and the Src Attribute </h3> <p> The <img> tag is empty, which means that it contains attributes only, and has no closing tag.<b/><br/> When I open this html file in browser, text "<img>" does not display correctly. Please help me asap. Thanks! I made this table but I don't know how to move the text away from the table 'wall'. I would like it to be about two or three spaces away. I also just noticed the bullets are outside the table in Firefox. I played with making another table inside the table but couldn't get it right. You can see the example here. Thank you. Adam Here is the code: <center><table border="2" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2" width="61%"> <tr> <td align="left"> <br> <center><a href="http://jimdouglasautosales.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://jimdouglasautosales.com/images/Craigslist/CraigslistVehicleListingLogo.jpg" width="400" height="115.4" border="0"></a></center> <hr> <br> <b><font size="5"> <br> <br> <font size="4"> Miles: <br> Options: <font size="3"> <LI type="disc"> <LI type="disc"> <LI type="disc"> <LI type="disc"> <LI type="disc"> <LI type="disc"> </MENU> VIN: <br> <font size="3"> (Ask for a free vehicle history report) <br> <br> Visit our <A HREF="http://www.jimdouglasautosales.com" TARGET="new"> website </A> . I have the following code: <li><?php echo t("You are logged in as <strong>!user</strong>", array('!user' => l($user->name, "user"))); ?><?php echo user_badges_for_uid($user->uid); ?> <b>|</b> <?php echo l(t("Edit"), "user/" . $user->uid . "/edit");?> <b>|</b> <?php echo l(t("Log out"), "logout"); ?> </li> user_badge_for_uid function returns an image, a badge for the user. This, however, is causing a line break. The output is coming like this; You are logged in as: Navs image | Edit | Logout How can I do without the line breaks? Please help thanks Navs I've got a line of text that includes some IMG tags. The images are 23 pixels high and the text is about 16 pixels high. So the IMGs increase the height of the line. Normally, Text and IMGs are aligned to "the bottom", so that the IMGs are much taller than the text. I could increase the size of the text so that it was as tall as the IMGs, but I'd rather not. I want the text to be vertically aligned to the "middle", so that the line looks better. Is that possible? Just a small problem I hope someone can help me out with. New to Dreamweaver since week and been constructing a website for a client. One issue so far: Trying to align the header and text field shown in the image with the edge of the image on the left in the table below. Is this easily adjusted? Many thanks in advance. Hi there, I need some help with this page: I can't get the "In this section:" link list to go to the right of the body text of the page and have the body text wrap around it. I'm also having trouble getting all the different headings and paragraphs to work right -- even if I set the CSS to display:block; the different headings display as inline elements. To get around this I've had to assign them all a width of 860 px -- which I think might be contributing to the problem getting the link list to go to the right of the body text, but horizontally aligned with the top heading. Thanks for any help you can give! Michael Hi. The pictues on my nav ber have shifted to the left about 40 px. How do I get them to be centerd? Matt Hi This is what i have: PHP Code: div id="wrapper"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td width="17%" ><img src="element.png" width="230" height="381" /></td> <td width="29%" align="left">middle</td> <td width="25%" align="left" background="backimg.png"><p>dfg</p></td> <td width="29%"></td> </tr> </table> </div> and this is what i get: Basically i have a table with 3 cells, the left (with the pink effect), the middle, and the right side. What i want is that image effect which is in left side of the page to be always aligned at top. should i create another <div> inside the <td> and put the image in the <div> ? is there a good way to do this ? Thanks Hello ladies and gentlemen. Im having trouble aligning some buttons i made with an a big image and small image of the like. They need to look like this... http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/c...wayne/main.jpg but currently are out of sync and all stuffed up. I was wondering what i could do to correct he problem and make it like the image above. Thanks in advance I am having trouble aligning a photo dead-center in a div. Here's a simple breakdown to avoid confusion... <div class="div1"> <div class = "div2"><img src="image.jpg"></div> </div> What I am trying to do is get that image right in the middle of div 1, both vertically and horizontally. Just to give a bit more of an illustration, for argument's sake, let's go by a standard 800px wide and 600px high for div1. The image size could be 400px by 300px. Div2 could be 75% W&H of Div1. I've tried everything I know using CSS and HTML, but I am missing something. All help is appreciated. Thanks, Jake At this guys website he has his "My Personal 100% Money-Back Customer Satisfaction Guarantee" that I'm trying to recreate. It's halfway down the page. www.thecopydoctor.com this is the URL to the certificate image border: http://www.thecopydoctor.com/images/certBorder.gif I'm just getting into HTML and my best guess is he made a div tag and used that little image as the top, right, bottom & left border. He got it to repeat all around the inside of the div. When I try this in Dreamweaver I can only get the image to go along the left or the top of the div's border. Can someone help me recreate this? |
