HTML - How To Hide/unhide An Image?
Hey all. I'm looking for a way to hide and unhide an image. More specifically, I want a small box labeled as "Show", and once you click on that box, an image will be shown(and the box will now be labeled as "hide"). Then I click that box again which is now labeled as "hide" to hide the image. I'm sure you've all seen this on different websites.
Similar TutorialsI'm pretty new to this whole HTML and PHP thing. I've had someone program my website for me, but I really don't want to have to pay him every time I want some little change made. So, my question is, is there a way in an HTML file to hide or unhide text by adding some command in the file? I would just like to have the headings for each section displayed, then the user could click a "read more" type button or something that would then display the text related to that heading, without refreshing the page. Something like this: Quote: THE FIRST HEADING read more THE SECOND HEADING read more Then, when you click on "read more", you would see this: Quote: THE FIRST HEADING Here's some text relating to this heading. And here's even more text. And still more. hide text THE SECOND HEADING read more Thanks in advance for your responses and help. Simple question. I am using images as links. I don't want any symbol active or visited link around the image. How do I simply get rid of this. Thanks! Hello, I have a graphic background with image buttons ("img" inside an "a href" link). By default, when you right click a button (or left click and move pointer out), the browser paints a selection rectangle, painted with dotted lines, that remains there. The same selection is visible when you click the image button, until the new page loads. You can see it even on the top round buttons of this forum. It looks really bad on my page because the image buttons are ment to be part of the background, and such a selection is out of style. Is there a way I can instruct the browser not to paint this selection? Some CSS style or some other property? Thanks! Alex Hi there, I'm experiencing a strange problem in IE with the show-hide layers behavior. I have 4 layers, each with images inside them which are meant to link to other pages. This works fine in Firefox but not so in IE. The odd thing is that when you hover over the images in IE the link appears in the status bar and if you right click and choose "open link" it does work. The site is here www.patons.org/v2/ and its the images at the top that I'm talking about. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Alex In IE when I do the javascript toggle to hide the div, the audio from a swf/flv is still playing, how do I stop all sounds or unload the flash file? I'm using this flash player on my site http://www.macloo.com/examples/audio_player/ I'd like to hide the soundFile url so that people can't just view the page source and copy the location of the mp3. Any ideas? I was hoping there'd be something I could do with some php variables or something, but I haven't really come up with a solution that would actually work. this issue has been solved Can someone write a code so this element will be hide on my page, this element do automatic import by my host so it will be before this code i need a hide code help please <noscript><div style="display:none"> </div></noscript><script type="text/javascript" src="http://media.funpic.org/layer.php?bid=73611485"></script> Hi, Is there eny way of hiding the source of my website If there is please reply. Thanks Hello, I'm using Google Apps and here's what I'd like to do with an html code. Right now I have a link that goes to "mail/", inside that mail folder is an index.html. Now, within that html code I'd like to redirect to "http://mail.google.com/a/layercakeclan.com/", but make it appear as though the URL is still "LayerCakeClan.com/mail". I know a lot of free url redirection services use this method. Can someone tell me how to do this? I am looking for simple and fast way to hide a table in html. What I want: I have a section of Text I want to appear in the same page, After the user has clicked on a certain link. I do not want to make a similar page with the added text because that takes up too much space. I also need the simplest way to do this because I'll be repeating it many times all over my site. How do I do it?: I have been trying to piece something together with a traditional DHTML show hide, but i cannot get it to work properly, so i trashed it. What I'm trying to do seems very simple. I have 2 videos I want to have on 1 page. I don't want to stack them, I just want to give the user a text link choice on which to choose. So the page would load with a generic looking video player. Which would switch out once you picked a video. HTML Code: <strong>Select: </strong><a href="#">video 1</a> | <a href="#">video 2</a> <div id="generic">generic page</div> <div id="video1">vid1</div> <div id="video2">vid2</div> I kinda got it to work in an earlier version, but it wasn't perfect. It would end up showing video1 properly, but when you clicked on video 2 it would show both. It wouldn't hide video 1. any help would be much apprecaited. |
