HTML - How To Reduce Height Of 1px Column In Ie6
i devlope one html page which is working fine in ff but not in ie6, because of height of 1px column is much larger than ff column..

Hi guys, I'm currently trying to sort out the background for a website. What I'd like is to have a silhouette of a few people on a gradient background. I'd like to keep the quality high, but it also makes the file size large. If there were no silhouette then I would have a one pixel strip of the gradient set to repeat. I want each of the product rows to be about 20 pixels high, just enough to fit the image graphic and text without additional blank space in the cell. But i'm sure theres a hack out there to fix it. Basically, in firefox and konqueror, running on kubuntu, the top navigation bar at http://www.tendervendors.com/dev/payroll.html displays correctly, and when you hover over it, it fills the li with a semi-opaque background. This is correct. Its done, by filling the a element, with a background-color and then applying opaque: 0.5; The a element also has padding, which makes it fill out to the size of the li element, so the a element fills its portion of the ul, and looks like the li has the affect applied to it. However, in opera, the right and left padding is correct, but the height padding doesn't work. Does anyone know of a bug in opera that would be causing this problem, and possibly a code fix for it? I want to be able to add an image at the bottom of the navigation column which will always be at teh bootom no matter how big the content area grows. The idea is my navigation will be at the top and the image or possibly images will be at the bottom. Is there an easy way around this with CSS? i could use tables and have it align to bottom but i don't want to use tables if possible. How can I put a blue border round this entire column. I tried but can't get it to work. http://www.bestsellersworld.com/text2.html I have a Web Page with a Form on it. hi, i have a table, i freezed(locked) the first column and firs row of the table.whilw scrolling down, the freezed(locked) column camouflages the freezed row.but i don't want this.i want the freezed row to caoumaflage the freezed column.do you have any ideas? Regards. Hi: I would like to present to my users a 3-column table of 'House for Sale' advertisements. This is not a commercial venture but will only be for the use of my Senior Mobile Home Park residents. Each of the three columns should contain x number of rows with each column cell containing a tiny pic (from a house.jpg file) and underneath the pic would be a few general details of the price, address, agent selling, etc. The .pic would be clickable and would then bring up a more enlarged picture of the house and complete details of the house for sale. My first puzzle is how to make this list of rows of advertisements *variable*. I guess I have to 'build' the page in my server according to how many ads are currently active ?? I'm making a table with a variable number of colums. The first column should be allowed to have a width of 30 % if it is needed by the text, but less if it is not needed. (This can style="max-width:30%" do for me). The rest of the columns can use the space that the first columns doesn't use, but shouldn't be able to force the first column to be smaller. If I use max-width the first column might be smaller than 30% because of the rest of the columns forces it to be so, and if I use width=30% the width will be 30% even if the text in the first column doesn't need 30%. I am trying to add in an extra column to my website. It was built for a 768 resolution when I really want it bigger now. I would like to add a column on the right hand side for some news and things like that...is there an easy way to just add in a column along the right hand side of the webpage? Thanks. |
