HTML - Non -java Way Of Detecting Browser Width And Redirecting?

Just wondering if there is a non -java way of detecting a user's browser width and then redirecting to the appropriate version of my site? Does anybody know how I can get my index page to ind out what type of browser/device the visitor is using? i.e. if the visitor is browsing using a mobile phone I want them to be redirected to mysite.com/mobileversion/index.htm Can this be done? I could add a fix in there for the fields if they were static, but if you see my javascript, they are dynamically loading fields. I am using a script I found on a jQuery board (http://jsbin.com/acado/6), and it works for them, but not for me because my syntax is probably wrong. And they also are just using 1 field and not near-unlimited dynamically loading fields like I am. How would I add in a fix to have the browser 'only' use the expansion if the user is using IE6 or IE7? I searched on the boards but couldn't find the solution to this problem. Thanks in advance! The box must be wide enough to fill a text. menu.style.width = tekst.length - this functioin gives the number of letters in text. So if the text is "hello" then the width is 5 pixels. How do you make a redirect using HTML so that it opens in the same window and not in a new window? I have a page I am making for a test logoff scrren and I need the page to redirect to another web site after a certain period or upon a click on a link. I'm working on an adult site for a client that needs to use an age verfication form before allowing visitors into the adult sections. I have the age verification form in place, but it only directs you to one page upon proper adult verification. What I would like to have happen is, a visitor clicks on a specific adult topic (there are several to choose from), have their age verified only once (I think this can be done with cookies), then be directed to the specific section they selected in the first place. I have a hosting plan with godaddy for www.aqueousband.com and all of my files are on that hosting plan and I want to keep that domain name. I started to think, if I just bought a domain name I would just have the domain name and no hosting. So how do I put an index file on a domain name that has no hosting attached to it? For a site I am creating, there is a signup feature. When someone clicks to register, a form pops up. Once they click "Send" the information gets sent to the email address (which I have outlined in the php), I want to redirect it to another window which says thanks for registering. So far, the information does get sent to the email address, but the form stays as is. So the form works fine, I just need to figure out how to redirect it or a way I can show text saying "Thanks your info as been sent". Please help with any tips! I know there is some flash involved but I also know that MySpace dissallowed some flash code on the site. What can I do here? Hey I am fairly new to the whole webmaster and html coding.
