HTML - Search Page Is Breaking

Hello people my search field keeps jumping around on my shopping cart page. I have "HTML tidied" and I know I have errors...but I use shopify which uses liquid code along with HTML so the tidy is reading alot of errors produced by my liquid aswell as my own

BUT would anyone know what would be the specific problem with the search form that just keeps moving around... oh yea it works fine on every other page except me shopping cart page...wtf... I have a jsp page, in which i have a search button. When i click on the search button, it should display the results in a table format in the same jsp page.

I am unable to find a solutuion for this.

Hey there, We have a webpage up for car parts that we offer. Our hosting services allows us just to login under there control panel and type up hte informaiton we want, such as Price, Item Description and so on. What we are looking for is a way to allow our customers to search parts by there Make, Model and Year. Is there a way to do this? If there is, is there some tutorials out there on how to instruct a novice user on how to do this? Here is an example: http://ultrarev.com/home.php?cat=0, it is the top bar on the right. Users can input there Make, Model and year and search for parts for the vehicle.

Hey, I embedded a google search box on my website, and I can't figure out how to make it so that when you search for something, the results show up on my page and not leave my site.

I just want like a window below the search box in MY site. Any ideas on how to do that?

Hi. Im having a hard time getting this to work.
I have bought a service from a phonenumber supplier and they will provide me with a database. But i need to create a searchform that queries and shows the results on the same page. I have all the strings and such to make it but i need an example on how to make this page. Its got to be in either php or html.

I can not give you the url and such to the suppliers because it is classified. hehe
But if anyone could give me a little helping hand here i will be very thankfull.

I'm new with supporting IE6 so hopefully this is a silly fix.
I've attached a screenshot of what IE 6 is doing to a site I'm working on.

Basically it is breaking a three column layout I've set up. Everything is shifted over to the right and half my content is cut off.

Any help with this GREATLY appreciated. Having a problem with my sidebar breaking as I add text to the page.

Can someone point me in the right direction as to what to look for in the code that might be causing this? I'd like the sidebar (green area) to adjust it's height with the amount of text I put into the page.

We need the height of the child div to go 100% of the parent div in other words.


If I add too much text, the bar breaks as you will see.

I'm getting all sorts of problems when zooming / text enlarging on various browsers ( Ctrl +/-) - particularly the bottom right hand side, where the sidebar joins the footer

It's gone live, and I've run out of ideas to sort it out - can anyone offer any advice?

I'm having trouble with the code for a sliced background image, and am hoping someone can help.

There are two problems that I'm having difficulty with.
1. I have included a repeating background tile for the right hand sidebar, and although the tile is diplaying O.K. my graphic is breaking at the top of the page when there is text overflow.

2. Second problem. Although I have a repeating tile created for the left hand sidebar, I'm not sure how to include it in the code, as I'm already using a background image referenced by CSS. I need the image for the left side bar to be a background image, as I need to add nav buttons to the page.

At the moment, the graphic for the left side bar is just repeating itself, which doesn't look too good as it is a graduated colour.

Hi,

I am wanting to impliment a feature where I can install a search box on my website that will search anothers content.

Basically I have two sites, one has thousands of sound effects on it, the other is more of a portal site. On the portal site I want to add a search box that will link into the other sites database so that the user would navigate away from the portal site and be taken to the stabndard search results page of the main site based on thier queory.

Is there any code that anyone knows of to do this?

Hi...not sure if this is the proper place to post this or not.

I'm trying to do two things...first:

I'm trying to set up a search box in frame 1 that will search, scroll to and highlight text in frame 2. Is this possible?

I've been searching around for days looking for answers, and have so far come up short.

I managed to create a search box in frame 1 that reloads frame 2, but that's not really what I'm after.

Now for the second thing I'm looking to do (along the same lines):

I want to click a link in frame 1 that scrolls to a target in frame 2 and highlights it. The target is a word in the middle of a paragraph.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm pretty green, so treat me like a beginner.

I'm trying to have my search box and search button aligned but I can't seem to get it working. Whenever I try to move one vertically, both of them end up moving and I'm all out of ideas.
