HTML - Button Display
I have submit buttons on one form. Is there any way to change the text that gets displayed to the user? Here's what I have
<td><p><input type="submit" name = "sid" value="372"/> The text displayed on screen to the user is then "372", which isn't very helpful. The variable sid is passed to the form action, and while the value I want passed is, in this case "372", I would like the button to be more user friendly, and have the text say something like "Get updated data" rather that just say "372", so the user knows what the button actually does. Is there a way to do this? Any help would be appreciated! Similar TutorialsJust some background info, I have dynamically created submit buttons depending on how many records are in the database (in this case, statuses stored in the db). I need these buttons to have a value pulled from the db which is purely used for processing the form, which I have done, but I also need the button to display an image. My problem is, the buttons are displaying the image as well as their values! I don't want the values to display, I just need them to have a value that I can pass through to the processing page so that it knows which button was clicked, hence which record to modify. I am having a problem making a button (well not a problem, but it is not how I would like it.) I have created a button using 2 images: Code: #navbar ul{ float:left; list-style: none; } #navbar ul li{ display:block; float:left; padding:10px 0 10px 10px; margin:10px 0 10px 10px; max-width:120px; min-width: 50px; background:url('images/button-left.png') no-repeat scroll top left; } #navbar ul li a{ display:block; color: #fff; text-decoration:none; padding:10px 15px 10px 5px; margin: -10px 0 0 -2px; font-weight:bold; text-align:left; background: transparent url('images/button-right.png') no-repeat scroll top right; } So, it works, and I could use it, but only the right image is the link, so I was wondering how I could also make the left image the link too. (btw I am sorry if the code is a mess, I usually tidy it up when I have finished ) Hey! I am new to this site... So if this is in the wrong section, I'm sorry! Ok, I am kinda new to HTML and I am not too sure about some stuff. The thing I am having trouble with is buttons... I have little graphic things for my buttons... and I can't figure out how to make it so you can click on it and it will go to another window... So, can somebody help? Thanks in advance! It is all lined up and when I go to paste the words in the button moves out of range or table. Is there a certain code that I use to prevent this. Secondly how do I make this a rollover text box....Thanks for your help Ahh this will probably be an easy question for someone to answer and I feel silly asking it. But anyways, I am integrating a site with php and I am not as fluent in html as the former. I need to just have a text that says login and not the actual button. Here is what I have been using <input type="submit" name="wp-submit" id="wp-submit" value="<?php _e('Register'); ?>" /> , how would I get it to just be text? Thanks for answering noob questions Hi newbie here, hope you can help. I need my buttons to be sitting side by side horizontally but not sure what code should be added to do so. At the moment they are sitting vertically. It appears that the </FORM> at the end of each line creates a BR. Here is example of the code, obviously the urls are fictitious <FORM METHOD="LINK" ACTION="http://joebloggs.com/"> <INPUT TYPE="submit" VALUE="sausages"></FORM> <FORM METHOD="LINK" ACTION="http://fredbloggs.com/"> <INPUT TYPE="submit" VALUE="pies"></FORM> <FORM METHOD="LINK" ACTION="jimmybloggs.com/"> <INPUT TYPE="submit" VALUE="meatballs"></FORM> What do I need to edit to enable the buttons to be horizontally placed.
