HTML - Mobile Browser Detection Code Please
Hi.
Is there any code out there that will detect whether a visitor to a website is using a mobilephone? If they are, I want the code to automatically send them to my mobile version of my site. I'm guessing it maybe somekind of resolution detection??? The BBC website can do this. Does anybody know how? Leroy Similar TutorialsSince all browser's are different, im trying to make a browser detection system for my website. the only problem is.. i can't.. I tried for several hours and have yet to make it work succesfully. Is there anyone who can make (or help make) a browser detection system for me? I would post my script but i deleted it. it would detect ie, but it mistook every other browser for google chrome. I'm having trouble with my site. I can get it looking great in IE7 and FF, but if you try and view it in IE6 or below, it doesn't look right. I have tried everything I can to fix it with no luck so I have given up. What I'm wanting now is for the code to detect if you are using IE6 or below, and if you are I want it to take you to redirect you to a warning page that says something along the lines of "You need to upgrade your browser to IE7, or continue with caution" or just something like that. Can someone direct me to a helpful site or maybe someone has some script already that they can post? I could add a fix in there for the fields if they were static, but if you see my javascript, they are dynamically loading fields. I am using a script I found on a jQuery board (http://jsbin.com/acado/6), and it works for them, but not for me because my syntax is probably wrong. And they also are just using 1 field and not near-unlimited dynamically loading fields like I am. How would I add in a fix to have the browser 'only' use the expansion if the user is using IE6 or IE7? I searched on the boards but couldn't find the solution to this problem. Thanks in advance! Using mobile with opera mini 8.65 or 4 and i have try bolt browser and ucweb6 mobile browser anyway i can not control the browsing of the text of my text box because the scrollbar does not work. If someone did know for wich reason ? If not possible to use the scrollbar with mobile browser could someone know how to add in the text box an button so we can browse the text by clicking up or down. I have many search in the internet the right text box with vertical scrollbar but all scrollbar could not be using by mobile browser. All I'm doing right now is writing my code in text edit, saving it as "test.html", and dragging and dropping the file onto Safari/Firefox to view my code. Everything works when I'm at my college's computer lab, but when I'm on my own mac notebook, the files load in the browser as my code. I've tried a variety of samples and checked my preferences, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Kathy Hello, I went to make a change on someones website. I was using a different program than I normally do. Anyway... for some reason a bunch of the code isn't showing up. Here's the website: https://www.villagetoyshop.com/ I normally just edit the html, but tried using komposer. I edited the code in komposer, but when I uploaded it a bunch of stuff isn't showing up. I can see it when I view source, but can't figure out why it doesn't appear in the browser. The code that isn't showing up is at the bottom and has the hours, contact info, etc... I use a free service for redirecting people to my mobile site, but there service is down for last 6 days or something got wrong. Anyway I decided to use .htaccess rewrite to redirect them to mobile site. The problem I have is that I cant really find how to do it efficiently and what I need because I have two different mobile sites. here it goes: My site example.com First mobile site is example.com/index.php?template=3 (this one is mainly for blackberry and all rest mobile devices, and I like this one to load in opera mini also if possible) Second mobile site is example.com/index.php?template=5 (that one is specifically for iPhone and android phones) I am really don't know how to do it please!
