HTML - Html Mail Info To User
Hello,
I want to create this website, using the mailto tag, the user will input the info in the text boxes then click on the submit button and mail the information to what ever email I specify in the mailto tag(is that correct, can malto do that?). But I want to take it a step further and the email in the textbox the user filled out it would be sent email about more information on what they came to the website for, can this be done in html? if so how, hopefully this made sense to everyone. Thank you Similar TutorialsHello all, I am currently building an HTML newsletter complete with graphics and it is all set up and appears fine in my IE and other web browsers. However, now I want to actually place this HTML and graphics in the actual e-mail form and test it. This may sound like like a stupid question, but does anyone know how to do this? For the life of me I can't think of any way to actually embed an .html file (or just the HTML coding) inside of an email and have it appear inside of say.. a Yahoo, MSN, google, or outllook express email form. I need to be able to do this to test an send my e-newsletter. I've searched the net for tutorials on how to do this but have come up empty handed. Any ideas on how to go about this? Thanks in advance! Hello all. I am building a website to promote a documentary film, and there will be an option for site visitors to donate via PayPal to help fund the movie. Sounds simple enough, but there are several catches. I'm not even sure where to begin, or if this scenario is even possible. The client has asked me to accomplish the following when a visitor clicks the "Donate" button: Collect the donor's contact info (so they can email them future updates on the project, and also snail mail them a "thank you" gift for their donation). Send the donor to PayPal to process their payment. Return the visitor to a "thank you" page on their website. Like I said, that sounds simple enough, but here are the caveats: The donation is not going to the client's PayPal account. It needs to be processed through the PayPal account of the International Documentary Association (IDA), an umbrella organization that allows the project to retain its nonprofit status. The IDA already has a "Donate" button set up for this project, so it's tempting to just copy that button code and use it on the film's website, but if we did that, once the visitor has paid with PayPal, they would be returned to the IDA website, not the film's website. I've never done any contact info collection, and not sure of the best way to go about it. If anyone can offer suggestions or recommend a workflow, just to get me thinking in the right direction, it would be much appreciated. Alternately, if this just sounds too complicated for a not-so-advanced developer like myself, let me know so I can tell the client we need to compromise on the features they dreamed up. Thanks in advance! --MicCheckOne Hi, so I'm trying to make this e-mail newsletter. It's entirely images, tables and text. So no javascript, just plain stuff. I tried attaching it as a signiture file and I had trouble sending it. It also didn't come out right. I'm trying to avoid using a software. Its basically just a block of HTML I need to show up as the only content in an email. If you just put HTML into a email text field, it just shows the HTML code in the email as text. Any ideas? Hopefully I can keep this from getting long winded. I would like to create a simple website that just about anyone could maintain. Say for example, the Contact Info page has a phone number on it that has changed, instead of the person who maintains the site needing to know and understand html programming, they can simply open a txt file with the contact info in it, change it and save it. Then the next time some loads the html page it has the updated info on the html page. The important thing to me would be that the imported text from the txt file, could be formatted once on the html page. Thanks, for any help with this. Hello, I currently run a shell script that generates a web page. I have never been happy with the layout and feel I could make it better by instead of having to parse each command into html to use text files. I have put some example code on pastebin and hoped someone could help me in getting the basics working, I know little about iframes and java. I would really love to have the items on the left to be clicked on so they expand and allow me to choose a more granular menu system that allows the items clicked to open in the right hand iframe, a bit like the IBM / HP ilo screens. I have no preference into the code type etc as long as it would be easy to generate the code for ie the menus. css would proved an added benefit as well. current page New look page Thanks Below is the current code I have. I havent coded in html for 6 years. Can someone either add or show me how to add a submit button that emails the info on that page to my email. I have been asked by a friend to build him a website, and right now I am a total faliure. I also need a reset button on the site that clears the info in the boxes. If someone could either just do it for me, or show me how i'd really apreciate it. Thanks everyone. I would like to know if it's possible to link informations located in an html file into another html that would be displayed on a web page. I'll explain my situation: I'm managing a simulated hockey league and the simulator I'm using generates after each simulation many html files that contains infos about standings, injurues, etc... What I would like to do is to, rather than putting buttons on my main websites to access the plain black&white html file, take the info inside these html and put them directly on a better web site interface, all this automatically. In a way that I only have to code once my main webpage so it can read my generated html files (that always keep the same file name) and updates my nicely designed web page each time I put newer htmls on my web ftp. Is it possible? Thank you very much for your help. Hello! I was hoping somebody here could help me. I am quite confused. Here is what I want to do: Create an image in photoshop or a similar program, and save it as an HTML, so I can send them in an e-mail. It will be a newsletter. I know there are sites I can go to that can create them, but I want my own layout - and plus they charge for their service. All I want is a free jpg to html converter. Is this even possible? If so, can u shoot me a link? Thanks in advance! hi everyone, i'm new to the community! great forum! i've got a problem with a html mail. I want it to look like that http://www.giannibaccega.com/mail2/mail i've made that layout with inline CSS and absolute positioning, but Gmail messes all up! I've read that i need to use tables, but how can i overlap the logo GIANNI BACCEGA FOTOGRAFIA to the background image (the light)?? with tables they appears one on the right and one on the left, but i need the logo to overlap a bit the background... any suggestions? thanks! I'm putting an html form on my site. When I send it, I get it, the fields are correctly filled out, but the message has an error. Can anybody help me out? Thank you in advance. I used a form generator to make this signup form for a group my friends putting together (long story lol). Basically its all generated and looks awesome. The issue is I have added this to the top <form id="form_113298" class="appnitro" method="post" action="mailto:EMAIL"> When i click submit however nothing happens... I dont have an email and it doesnt move forward or anything. Of course I never programmed another page after but heres some code from the bottom. <li class="buttons"> <input type="hidden" name="form_id" value="113298" /> <input id="saveForm" class="button_text" type="submit" name="submit" value="Submit" /> How can I make this form email me ? regards, Eddy I have been asked by a client of make an e-mail for their product that has email elements in it like a picture and a logo that use HTML elements pretty much a page that you open in your e-mail window. I often get discount mailers from many businesses that do this kind of thing. I know a bit about making HTML/CSS pages but I have never done an e-mail that has that look to it. Does anyone know the process I would use to assemble something like that? Thx u for the help? Hi, I've spend today (9am yesterday till 3am... now) trying to learn my way through HTML from pretty much scratch! I've been helping out at a Drum Shop who've just got a website made, and they've been offered the chance to do a free e-mail campaign to local students. The shop has been open 40 years, and both the staff have been there since it opened, so entering the 20th century with a website is a major achievement! Anyway, I've been trying to compose the e-mail in html, and I think I've got something that'll work... but as I'm VERY new to all this I'm worried about whether it'll work in different browsers etc and, well... at all really! I've attached the txt of the HTML so far.... I've no editor etc, so been using notepad... sorry if it's awkward to read etc. I'm really just hoping someone will take pity on my poor fried brain and have a look at the page / txt and maybe let me know if there's something wrong with it and, if you're feeling generous, offer some tips and advice on changes... unfortunately, my first ever HTML e-mail will be going to 20,000 people, so I'm rather nervous about getting it right! Thanks in advance and eh, thanks for the forum... it's been really rather useful whenever I've been stuck / made a mistake! Steve PS: The images I'm using at the moment aren't quite right, can't fix them till I get back to work tomorrow morning! First of all, WOW does this look like a site that can make it happen for me.. websitemakingwise. Im new and boy, loving the info so far.. ok, my problem: So Im cleaning up this code, yes.. again. And I wanted to make this automated php thing that sends emails straight to my inbox. Without having to use the client installed. Only problem is that the submit button isnt doing anything. Could someone have a look whats wrong? Appreciate your advice Hi guys, Could you please help me in giving the code that takes data from the fields in HTML form and when submit button is clicked the mail has to go to the intended user through Microsoft office outlook. Please help me... its very urgent Thanks & Regards Karteek Challa script completed, thx I've been working on a way to see who's using my website and I've just created a way for other web developers to use it too. My tool shows you who's on your website in a single HTML tag. It's still under development, but I was wondering if some of the other members of this forum might want to check it out and then reply back with what they think of it. It's written in PHP and Javascript, and of course it's free to use. The project site is http://www.websiteusermaps.com/ so I hope some of you have a moment to check it out and report back to me on this message topic as to whether or not this looks like something you might be interested in using. Thanks everybody! Jon i recently learned html, still a n00b though, lol i made a layout, which im proud of but i wanna know how to make a layout changer, which i can pput as a topic and have links, when ppl click them, the layout changes, and u can always chnge it bak to the original or something else mind helping me out? Hi all programmers I have a doubt. Im making a school project wich makes me to create a new website. But Im stuck in a point of this project. This website is like wikipedia but including videos and musics. What I cant do its to make a textbox where the user can write a code for example : "<b>bold</b>" and after he saves it the text will appear in bold. How can I make that possible ? TY Guys. Okay so I want to make an input where a user (me) can input coding and then it will post it in another place but it will display in the site as not coding but just will execute the code....how would I go about doing this? Thanks for any help! (I'm trying to make a simple blog for my site but don't want to have to recode the entire page for each post individually. I would love to be able to just enter in one post's coding then it will display...I just assumed it's possible? Because of HTML code previewers out there.) |
