HTML - Hover Over Button To See Specific Text?
Hello there,
I am trying to find code to accomplish one little task. I want specific text to show up when one hovers over a button. Not clicking it, but hovering over. Like the ESPN tourny bracket page...hover over any team abbreviation to see full team name. Example Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Lorne Similar Tutorialshi there. i made a website for somebody years ago when i knew nothing about html. the code is absolutely crazily bad and i am looking to revamp it. the site is www.englishandproudofit.co.uk i know how to do the layout but its the buttons i am struggling with. what is the best way to make the buttons around the outside? i only want to use one image for all of the buttons and then have text on each button that also chnages colour on hover, pretty much how it is now but what would be the correct way to do it? all help greatly appreciated. thank you, sam How do I place a button at a specific point on the webpage, somehow type co ordinates of a point on the page and the button will appear there? im going to use this webpage as an example http://danalverez.webs.com/index.htm im creating a webpage in dreamweaver and im having a problem i uploaded a background image and centered it and thats fine. But now im trying to creat links over the background image and i can, but when i view the webpage in IE the links or text move everytime i maxamize or minamize the webpage. when you maxamize or minamize the webpage above, the home button link is always in the same location on the page. When i max/min my website the home button jumps to the left or right. when its minamized its in the correct location, but when i maxamise the page the button is to much left. I would like to have a single word which on hover displays a box with some details. I know I could do this crudely using an image for the word, and having the 'alt' text contain the details wanted on hover. What is the correct way of doing this? Ta muchly! I'm not sure if this has been covered somewhere, but I couldn't find it. I'm wondering if there's any way to get an image to pop up on a hover over text, not a link. If that's not specific enough, I have a page of staff members. I want to be able to move my mouse over the person's name and have a picture of them pop up. Is this possible? Hello, Is there a way to hover text over a Jquery slider? Here is what I am working with. http://chocotemplates.com/portfolio/portfolio-2/ Hi all, I have a table with some data in it. Sometimes the data in one of the cells fills up and it messes up the formatting of the rest of the table. I would like to have the table show a "...." when this happens and then when the user hovers his mouse over this then I want the remaining data to float over the table. Somewhat like a tooltip text. Is there anyway to do this? Thanks in advance for any help, Jehan Hi all a couple of questions.......... first how do I add text to a colored button that is part of the heading of my website. It is all lined up and when I go to paste the words in the button moves out of range or table. Is there a certain code that I use to prevent this. Secondly how do I make this a rollover text box....Thanks for your help Hello! I shell be very thankful to him/her. Thanks in advance : ) I am new to HTML. I just started yesterday and found it to be useful so far. I am in the process of setting up a website so I searched for a template to use, but it wasn't complete. I think everything is in place except for the 5 page link buttons on the side. Currently they all link to the same site, but I can fix that myself. I need to put text over the image while still allowing the button to be clicked, but I don't know how. I put an image of what I want inside the attached zip file. Thanks in advance. Hi, I need to wrap the text of button so that it fits in the button's fixed width and doesn't expand the button's width, only it's height. This can be done in a regular text using the WORD-BREAK:BREAK-ALL; attribute But I tried this on the button and it's not working? Is there any work around for that? any css attribut? Regards, Murali Hello all, I am looking to see if there is a simple way to provide a print button for static Text and/or images within a simple table. The content will not change, so I want to see if I can provide a programmed print button for the content within each table. The application is a FAQ page of a website. Currently, the page is long and printing a particular FAQ item is not possible. Expecting the viewers to be web-savvy enough to know how to print selected text is out of the question, as well as providing them this tip in writing. There needs to be a print button. I found this: http://download.oracle.com/javase/tu...rinttable.html but since I am not familiar with coding much beyond basic html I am not sure if this applies or how to implement the code examples in a webpage. I use Dreamweaver MX '04 to edit page html. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Hi all, I would like to ask for your help here. How can I first have a few radio buttons on my page and when the user select one of those, a text box with a submit button will appear. The text box is for the user to key in some kind of code/password so that it will prompt the user to a url according to the code/password. Example: Code: YAH URL: www.yahoo.com Code: GOO URL: www.google.com And if the user keys the wrong code it will prompt a message box asking them to try again. If the user key the code wrongly for 3 times it will prompt to another url. Ive also attach an example of how it should look like. I would appreciate for your help. Thanks a lot! Hi All As the thread title suggests, I'm trying to vertical-align the text in a submit button - see attached. The html and css I'm using is below. I've tried wrapping spans around the value and altering the padding (which looks better but makes the onclick outline appear half-way up the button). Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Steve The html is Code: print("<input class='mybtn' SIZE='5' type='submit' name='storedatabase' value='Store Database'>"); The CSS is Code: .mybtn { width: 120px; height: 21px; border-style: outset; border-color: red; font-size: 12px; color: #000000; background-color: rgb(250, 240, 230); border: 1px 1px 1px 1px; outline: 10px; text-align: center; } I have a web page that I had to convert from a .psd file to an html and I'm not able to center a submit button and the text field next to it. I've tried various alignments but I'm also limited by what I can do because when you convert from .psd to html the entire page is one form. I don't have an external link but I'm able to provide html if necessary. Can someone please take a look at my code and offer some suggestions? Thank you Doug Hey guys, im completely new to web development, as in, i've literally never tried it before so im hoping you guys can help me I have a local HTML and, basically, it has 2 text boxes and one button. now the button currently takes you to another page, but i want that button to copy the text from the second text box to my clipboard, so i can paste it into another document i have adobe dreamweaver cs5 but im willing to pick up any other software i might need to pull this off all help appreciated! Ok, basically here is the run down of what I am looking for this script to do.
