The text I add is displayed behind some other existing text? The page is currently live without the changes at www.bulksms.com but I have commented out the bit I need to add in so you can see it in the source, it's an A - Z directory toward the bottom of the page. I've managed to do it successfully at www.bulksms.vsms.net but this unfortunately does not seem to work on the .com version and ends up displaying as attached. Any ideas? Code: <form action="submitreg.php" method="post"> Desired Username: <input type="text"><br> Desired Password: <input type="text"> </form> This is just an ordinary unmodified form I have created. Here is the part of the code I'm using for one of those : Code: <label>Name <span class="small">Name sent</span> </label> <input type="text" name="name" id="name" value=<?php echo $_POST["name"]; ?> /> If, as example, the name I'm getting from $_POST is : Alexander Johnson, there will only be Alexander in the text field. Note that if I create a really small function like this : Code: $name = $_POST["name"]; echo $name; Then the output will be Alexander Johnson instead of simply Alexander. Anyone knows what I'm doing wrong? (I'm using the labels and span class with css, but I don't think this is the problem. Just a small problem I hope someone can help me out with. New to Dreamweaver since week and been constructing a website for a client. One issue so far: Trying to align the header and text field shown in the image with the edge of the image on the left in the table below. Is this easily adjusted? Many thanks in advance. Hi all! i have an annoying problem with a simple form, which accures only in explorer... the text fields respond to a click only at their very left end, or, if I give them a value, where the text actually show. How do I make it so that they will be "chosen" in response to a click anywhere within them? You can see a proto of the form at www.teleionholon.com/TH/form.html. This works great in Firefox, only explorer gives me a hard time! thank you so much! Shir Hi, I have got a weird problem with a page I'm writing: whenever I zigzag between my tabs inside the page, each tab's content moves a little bit to the right. you can clearly see it, if you zigzag between the "Friends" tag and the "Mail" tag, and notice how the title of the content moves a little bit to the right each time... I'm attaching my two files. Does anyone has an explanation? Thanks Hi all, I tried posting this under the CSS forum, but didn't get any answers, so I'm hoping for better success here. I don't know if this is a common issue or not, but it's giving me fits. I am trying to make an in-house employee directory for my company. It is a simple design, with the individual's picture displayed on the left of the page and their name and contact information flowing around it to the right of the image. When I use "float: left" in the style sheet, or even align="left" as an attribute in the img tag, it works beautifully in FF. But IE7 seems to want to make the image the same height as the first line of text, and only shows that much of it. If I use no formatting instructions, FF still displays it properly, but IE7 now displays the full image with the bottom aligned with the bottom of the first line of text and the remaining lines of text (each is produced with a br tag) below the image, rather than wrapped along the side. Unfortunately, although I like FF, my company uses IE7, so I need to find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The problem page can be viewed at: http://skmcbride.com/CHFA/employee_directory.php The style sheet is at: http://www.skmcbride.com/CHFA/_styles/mainstyle.css Thanks for you input, Steve Hello =) Well.. I wrote in a text box over my image in a html editor (frontpage) However, when i upload my index file to the web, the text box goes to another place o.O I don't know what to do =x help me please =) thanks Hi, I'm novice in webpage creating, and i have this kind of problem : I'm creating a webpage, where users could post some kind of a comment... I don't know did i choose rigth, but i'm using "input type="text" ...> users write there a comment, and press submit button. This comment is sent to mysql database and saved there, after submiting it. Next step is placing it in a webpage. It works, but ot that way as i want. A problem is : I've added a code like <input type="text" style="650px; height:150px" name="msg"> Input area is about height of 7-8 rows. I want that it worked like this : user types a text, and when it reaches the end of a line, cursor jumpt to the beneath row. Now, user is writing everything in one row, and when it reaches the end - scrollbar apear on the bottom. I would like that scrollbar would apear then, when user reaches the bottom of the input area. Moreover - i would like that user could press the ENTER button, to jump to next row. Now, when he does this - submit button is activated, and a written text is sent to the database. Should i use CSS? or ... i'm really green here, and don't know what to do .. hope anypne will answer to my SOS call |
