HTML - Cancel Page Load Link

Hi, I was wondering if any one could tell me why my page is not loading and why it seems to want to load an active x control when I have not put one on there

I have created a page that has a number of images on it as well as a large flash file.

I have a little image that comes up while the flash file is loading so that is ok, but the problem is I'd like to specify the order in which item on the page load because the flash file is stopping the rest of the page loading properly. Do you know what I mean?

For example i'd like my header to load first and the other images and when they are finished loading then the flash file can start.

I'm sure I have read it somewhere before but cant find it anywhere.

Every other problem ive had has been solved here so I know someone will have the answer!

OK so i'm new at all this but can't seem to find out how to do this. I'm working on a site that has daily schedules for clubs. For example if someone clicks on "Downtown" and today is Thursday, then i want all the thursday listings to pop up.
So how would I make the page that corresponds to whatever day it is load from a single link

I have nicely developed aspx page pages in my website with very less server side coding, but every page consist of lots of JavaScript linked to it. I mean I have used almost 5 to 8 javascripy files on each pages, like javascript for calander control, time, some dropdown, dynamic menus etc, now when the page loads it don't display any contents till all the javaScript files gets downloaded and executes i guess. Its okay on broadband but it really irrites on dialup connection.

any help to reduce this del;ay dure to javascript file donload time?

I have 2 java scripts from dynamicdrive.com which I want to load on same page, If I load 2 scripts in same page bot will not work I get loading however If I use only 1 scripts it works great.

Am I missing something?

Is it possible with html? i've been working on a site but each time you click the next arrow a new page loads, all the text is in the same place so it doesn't move and is even in a fixed div but due to it being a new page everything loads, the text collapses until the larger image in the center loads. Of course this is fixed when the site is cached but of course the site would only be cached once someone has clicked through it and experienced the problems 27 times...

so my question is is it possible to code for when i click the next arrow only a new image from a different link to load? is this possible with html? I don't know a single thing about flash or javascript.

Hi there i was wondering if it was possible to click on an image that has been mapped and have it open another web page but at a specific location. for example i have a large image of the U.S. i would like to have a smaller image that is mapped to be able to jump to the larger image at that specific location like if i click the northeast porition of the U.S. on the small image i would like it to load the larger image at the northeast porition of the U.S. using just html if possible? thanks for any help.

Hello, I consider this an HTML problem but I could be wrong. Not much of a coder myself I have been sticking bits here and there from all over the web. I have managed to integrate a percentage load meter on my site but it loads after the images have -defeating the purpose- I was hoping somebody could tell me where I'm going wrong.

The % meter is pretty, and that's why I like it, but I don't think its accurate? I got it from the link below:

Here is my site so far, I would like to pre-load the .png %bar images so it makes some sense and then get rid of the bar when the page has loaded. I especially need this as java disappears when a page is scrolled and being positioned behind the java applet it would be seen.

Hey, Don't really know exactly how to pose this question, so i'll try to explain it in several ways, and maybe one of you can help me.

I'm trying to find code, HTML or Java, which would cause the browser to automatically start focused on a different part of the page other than the top (as it normally does when a new page loads).

For example, lets say i have an image or text several scrolls down on a page. I want the browser to automatically load the page centered on this. Any ideas on how to do this?

Any help would help so much.... i tried to search for it, but i didn't know exactly how to phrase it so i wasn't able to find anything.

I have a products page and want to provide link so when customer clicks link the resulting page loads in blank but only 400x400 pixels so the initial page remains visible and the loading page centers in the screen. Is that possible and how so?

Hi, I have an html page with the following structu

Now when I click on a link to a webpage inside the iframe, it loads the webpage inside that frame. How do I specify:

1) to load webpage in a different iframe from the one that contains the link
2) to load webpage in the "frame" that contains the iframe with the link, i.e. in this case: load the linked webpage instead of the page that contains the iframe with the link.

I realise this is probably quite straightforward, but I'm new to this stuff. Could someone please help me out?

On my website, there is a Gallery of several pictures and I made a special page for use as a popup, which matches the main website with the one image (the popup is to show the image larger, when clicked on from the gallery)

However, I do not want to make 50 duplicate pages for use as a popup (click for larger image), I would rather have the one page then in the main gallery, call whichever photo should be in the popup.


As an example of what I'm trying to do (not the code I'm using, but rather trying to make myself clear:

Main page:
