HTML - How To Make "html Code" Viewable To All Internet Surfer?
Hi, i have a website which i designed using HTML Code, but it is internet unfriendly, so it is not viewable at all. I want to convert the HTML Code to CSS, or do you know way for it to be viewable, without doing alot of things? ..
I want my website to be viewable for all internet & i want to keep my layout i designed. It is only view-able with older version of firefox only. I have dreamweaver, if this means anything =] (but don't know how to use it) Please Help, thank you in advance. =] Similar TutorialsA customer gave me a Word doc that they want turned into a printer friendly web page. I understand that there are tons of ways to do this but I really want the answer to the subject. What i'm referring to is a form that someone can print from the browser and "fill in the blanks" on the page where there are "underscores". My question is how to code those underscores. I tried manipulating the <hr> tag but it's putting way too much space in between each <hr>. I've already coded a "fill in the blank" line using <u> nbsp;</u> but that looks very messy. What do you guys/gals think? Hey, I'm trying to write some code for expanding and concealing text You can see this in action at youtube when you click the (more) button to expand text. Suppose I had a heading: MyHeading and a body of text: MyTextHere How do I make it so that when you click MyHeading it makes MyTextHere (initially not visible) appear, and when you click MyHeading again, it makes MyTextHere disappear? Thanks in advance I am having a problem with a web page that when I use the echo statement and try to output data to the web page in a table the data in the table pushes the data from another row down the page. What should I do to stop this from happening. I am using adobe dreamweaver. Thanks a lot!! http://www.colletts.co.uk/winter_dolomites.htm I have the above page that redirects users to my Winter Website - the HTML below isn't valid W3C does anyone know of a better and valid way to get this done? Cheers, Mas HTML Code: <META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="2.5;URL=http://www.colletts.co.uk/winter/winter_dolomites.html" /> Hello again. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. =) I think I have a better way to ask my question. I'm trying to do something similar to this webpage. ....If you copy ANY PART of the lyrics, you'll see the website's name and URL "magically" appear when you paste it. I want to do something like this. When I looked at the source code for the webpage, I got REALLY confused. Not sure if they're using a script or some CSS to do this. And I doubt I'll get a response if I emailed them, because (1) this site looks REALLY big, so they might not reply to emails, and (2) I don't speak fluent Japanese. Really hope someone can figure out how I can do this. Thanks in advance!!! Do you know of a javascript utility that when you select a small graphic on the screen, it calls up a larger graphic in another part of the same screen (not a popup)? I'm trying to create a gallery and am not having much success. This may seem like a rather elementary question, but I'm doing a this for a school project and wanted some input on how this should be done. What I'm looking to do is to have a very simple text-input box on my page where the user would obviously type in some text, then a simple "post" button or something like that where when once clicked, the text typed by the user would just then appear above the box, possibly in a table? How simple/complicated is it to do this. I'm pretty familiar with html so once I get pointed in the right direction I should be fine. I don't want a blog or something where someone has to sign up with a user name or anything like that, just whoever visits the site can write text into the/a text input box and then it is shown after whatever text was typed by the user before them. Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Just out of curiosity, if a server returns a page with code 3xx and a "Location: url_1" header, but also includes a <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=url_2"/> tag, then would the browser be expected to redirect to url_1 or url_2? I was hoping someone could clue me in as to whether or not this would be possible. I'm thinking it isn't but I need to make sure. I'd like to provide a file for people to download on my website, but when they click on the link and the download window appears I don't want them to have the option of opening it. Is it possible to only give them the option to save the file? Sounds incredibly unlikely but I gotta know. Hello, New to the forum. I was wondering how I could make a "vote" type feature on my site... for example: Which do you prefer: Apples or Bananas? (radio button) Apples (radio button) Bananas submit vote Thank you Hello! My fiance and I are getting married in July. We've been living together for several years and already have much of the things couples typically register for before the wedding. (china, furniture, linens, ect..) Instead of gifts, we would like to be able to take a kick-ass honeymoon and have our guests help us. I've heard recently much talk about honeymoon registries in place of the traditional wedding registry. Guests bring gifts of money to the wedding to help the couple with their travel costs and to allow for extra perks along the way. Usually a couple needs to hire a 3rd party or pay their travel agency a % to set up and host it for them. I already have my own webspace, and I know my way around a bit of HTML and CSS, I figure with the right help I should be able to manage it myself. Here's an example of a honeymoon registry: http://www.ultimatewedding.com/artic...&articleid=217 I'd like to have it "checkout cart" style, where my guests can enter how many they'd like to purchase and after they enter it would update the and "purchased" field automatically. They won't actually be purchasing anything, so it doesn't need to send a message to me, or another server with their order. It'll just show the other guests how many we are requesting and how many we've recieved so far. If anyone knows of any online tutorials that can show me how to get close to what I want, or if anyone can offer some pointers to get me started I would very much appreciate it. Thank you, thank you! -Piri Hello, I want to load a page in a iframe, and when i do this, i want that page to be displayed not at the begining of that page, i want that page to be displayed at a "x" and "y" position specificated by me. Hi, I have a problem with validating Strict XHTML 1.0 ... The tag: "option" doesn't have an attribute: "onchange" in currently active versions.[XHTML 1.0 Strict]... Is there a way around this? Here's the code:. <select name="birth_month" onchange="form_d('yes');" size="1" style="width:8em"> <option<?php echo empty($a_birth_month)?' selected="selected"':''?> value="" onchange="form_d('yes');" >Month</option> Thanks Only another million pages to go. Rather than write them out i took a screenshot. So how do i get past those? Hi all, I am currently working on a website using Dreamweaver CS3. Whenever I view the (currently very basic) site in Firefox I get the line of code I entered as the title of this thread at the top of the page (directly above the banner) as if I had just typed it into the canvas area (correct term?). Whenever I view it in IE it appears just fine, not sure about other browsers though.
