HTML - Firefox Playing Up?
I've created a layout in css and it works in Safari, Chrome and IE but not Firefox. I thought IE was the odd one out. Anyway I seem to have narrowed it down. It's the logo in the top left, if it has a link on it it seems to move the margin a lot to the right. Try it out.

It does play the music when the link was click, but it pops up a blank page with on the QT control bar in the middle. I successfully did that in Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome, but for IE8 and IE7 the swf is not autoplaying. You can try it with any swf. My swf is a simple flash with 3 frames in the main scene, nothing special. You can try that code with any swf in IE8 and shall see my problem. Please notice that current code(which I displayed above) doest work at all with FF, Opera, or others since it only targets the IE browser and its problem just to show the issue. The problem is, I have no idea how to get it to work. I have never used frames and I am not sure if what I want it right for frames, and then there is the pop up idea, what happenes if they have a pop up blocker? Unfortunately the videos load and play automatically when the page is opened. I cannot figure out what is going wrong and I cannot get in touch with the friend who wrote the code in the first place. I've got a form called 'register_form1' on my website and, at first, the submit button is disabled (whether with disabled="true" or with a short javascript mybutton.disabled='true'). After inputing text in a few input areas, I would like the button to enable. And that is done by a short javascript. But, when submiting, the POST array is empty... $name, $username, $date are null strings (I suppose). the php file ....: PHP Code: <?php $name = $_POST['inputname']; echo($name); .................. and so on ?> On the other hand, if the button is enabled and never disabled, the POST method works. I've also tried the following: I changed the type of the button to 'button', not to 'submit', and then, when it was enabled, at a given moment (onClick event), I called myForm.submit(). When I post family photos on our site, I like to add background music. My posts consist of a home page containing a table of thumbnails, each linked to its larger image on a separate page. (You can then scroll directly from one larger image to another.) I can EMBED music into the home page, but it stops playing when a linked page/image is opened. I get around this be inserting the table of thumbnails as an OBJECT into a separate home page that contains the music. That works; the music then continues to play as I scroll through the table's links. But there are two problems. First, when the thumbnails table is larger than a single screen, the table develops its own vertical scroll bar, so there are now two scroll bars showing, which is confusing. Worse, the larger images from thumbnails lower in the table are no longer properly positioned when seen on their own pages; you have to scroll each one to get it back into view. Is there a better way to keep the home page music playing as linked images are viewed? I have a Mac Laptop with OSX 10.4, and use Netscape Composer to make my sites. I have look all over for a post explaing this problem but i haven't found anything. I am making a site for a friend using Dreamweaver. I know i know, i regret not coding it from scratch but its too late now. Anyways I have a pretty good page layout going now but I have ran into a problem with loading my images. On my home page an image in a table nested inside another table will load when viewing in safari but seems to disappear in firefox. What is going on? Its a pretty simple piece of code. I place; <img src="Pictures/RDV couplepalm.jpg" width="200" height="" style="float:right; padding: 8px; margin-left:10px; margin-bottom: 10px" / inside of a paragraph in a row of a table. I have rewritten the code for this image, copied it from a working image and screwed around with the table heights (although I wasn't too sure what i was doing). What else should I try? I have recently designed a website on Google Chrome...And after finishing it and opening it on Firefox and IE, I was surprised by the strange look of my site...The widths and tops and everything of CSS of boxes I did look completely different...I tried to add DOCTYPE and stuff like that and still it makes no sense but makes the same issue with Google Chrome too and when erasing it..The site runs on google chrome properly but not in IE and Firefox...Please help me fixing this problem...
