HTML - Point Link Mouse Click Thingy

How can I get certain links to change color when the mouse hovers over it? I found this site: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000075.htm, that explains how to do it, but my situation is a little more complicated. I only want certain links to change color, not every link on the page. Specifically, I want only those links that are members of the class "menu_links" to change color.

I have something like this:

How can I integrate the notation given in the link I provided (i.e. A:link, A:hover,...) with a class name? I tried things like:

and

a:link.menu_links {...}
a:hover.menu_links {...}
</styles>

but these didn't seem to work.

Any suggestions?

I have a website that I'm using as a test project of sorts. The link is he http://www.RyanzLair.com/OnTheFarm/index.html

What I'm wanting to do is, when the user clicks on one of the thumbnails, for there to be a dynamic text box above the image in the main window that will also change depending on the picture. Basically I'm wanting to caption my photos. Right now I'm using a php script to load the pictures into the main window (so I don't have to create a separate page for each image). I'm new to all of this, so I don't know if you need me to copy and paste any code or what not, but I can get whatever you require to help out. Thanks!

I want to click a button that is behind an image (set in absolute position). The button that I am trying to click is within an iframe so I cant use any sort of javascript to click it. The click must be real and not faken.

Iframe containing button ----> Image over it

Is there anyway I can setup the image so I would be able to click thru it (add transparency setting or something like that)? The image must remain visible but I want to be able to click the button that is under it.

The goal is to make the visitor click the image but it would actually click the button in the iframe behind it.

I've got a page of results, and at the bottom it has page numbers and a link for next page etc all head in a div.

Sometimes it is display correctly with 20px margin-top, but other times, it has no margin-top, but will move down to its correct position when you try click on it.

Anyone had this sort of thing before?

I can't seem to find the syntax which allows users to download a file by clicking on a link. For example, a user would click on a "Download" link which would pop up the download dialog box which prompts the user to save the file to their hard drive. Simply doing an a href link opens up and plays the file instead. Just to note, the file they would be downloading would be an mpg file. Thanks in advance for your help!

I need to create a link on my company's website. Once the users click the link, it should download an excel file.

I have some music (mp3) on my site. I want to make a link so when someone clicks the link it will download the file. I don't want them to have to right click and click save target as or anything like that.

Can this be done? if not in just html can you use other code to do it?

Im not sure if this is posted in the right place but anywho im just wondering if this is possible (note:im a total noob)
i have a table
HTML Code:

and im wondering if its possible to click on one of the video #1,2 or 3 and set a javascript variable to a certain amount and change the embed code of the youtube video corresponding to the video # you selected.

Is this possible or am i dreaming??

I have a form and instead of clicking on a "Submit Button". I would like to have a text link that can be clicked to submit the action. Any ideas.

Currently, I have a link that pops up.

My issue is that within that popup, I have a link that I want to:
- target the parent window
- close on click

I can get the link to either target the parent window or close on click, but I can't get it to do both. Help?

I'm just a beginner to HTML. I'm trying to develop my own web page but there is still lots of things under construction. Now just the home page and some of hyperlinks are finished and available. Most of other hyperlinks are unavailable and under construction, that's why when I click over these unavail. hyperlink, the browser always tell me "the page can not be displayed"...

My idea is that I would like to know how to displayed a specific page which has the message "Sorry, this page is currently under construction". So everytime I cick over any link that is unavailable, it will show me this particular page with the message on...

Does anynbody know how to do this, could you please advise me how to write code to get this done. Please help me, your help is highly appreciated...

I am learning web design and I need to know what I need to learn. Let me see if I can explain the concept that I would like to learn:

I want to have a site where a customer fills out a form and then the information on that form gets placed on its own page.

Does that make sense? I remember once seeing a CGI script for a website that would self generate new pages, but I can't remember what this concept is called.

Why do all the work of finding the coords??
