HTML - Minor Line-up Problem
Hey Guys,
I just got my latest project online and finished the flash banner for it but for some reason the flash banner seems to be off by 1 pixel to the right, its hardly noticeable but it's buggin me. I dont know if this is an HTML fix or CSS but this is the site. Thanks! Similar TutorialsA link on a particular website to my website was published incorrectly. I contacted the webmaster but the problem is that they work VERY slow and the necessary change will not be done for a while. They added a "space" and a "backslash" to my address. It reads "whateverwebsite.com /" So when people click on it they are given a server error and the site won't load. Is there anything I can do to make my web address pull up with that space after .com? Thank you for any help you can provide. This is really hurting my business since its the main external link to our site. Here's what I have... http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/502/currentmw7.jpg ...and here's what I'm trying to get... http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/3810/wantedvp6.jpg Basically, just rid of the white space above "Looking Out For You". Here's the coding for the page in a text file... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JG3ELL2T If anyone can help me with coding or anything (most likely a table I have to fix), that would amazing and greatly appreciated! Thank You! Hello all, thought maybe someone could help me with a basic problem I'm having. I am fairly new to html and stuff but am off to a start to get a site running. The problem I am having is that the image i am using to link is offset vertically with vspace = 11 in order to line up lines with a border type thing. However, when you click the image link it includes the 11 pixels underneath it from vspace as part of the clickable link. Is there a way to make it so that only the image itself is a link and still add the 11 pixel spacing under it to get the image to line up with the rest of the site? Thanks! Code: <img style="width: 51px; height: 57px;" alt=" " src="images/icon/left.bmp"><a href="main.html"><img style="border: 0px solid; width: 92px; height: 30px;" alt=" " src="images/icon/bt1.bmp" vspace="11"></a> Code is just the part of the 2 images: the first image, and the linked image that I want to line up with the first image. Hey guys: I am new to this and have been catching on real quick. This is for my final project for college and i have one minor issue i have been looking into for the past 20 minutes now. I cannot get the nav bar on the left to align to the top near the banner i had created. Very simple for some but an issue for me. Sorry to bother you guys, and i did search for this issue. Something in this page is causing a vertical white line on the right hand side of the main table. Can anyone help me figure this out? www.massagelaunch.com Thanks. I have found what seems to be a rather big problem in the HTML canvas When drawing circles, and I presume all shapes, the size of the circle is different based on whether one is filling it, or sketching it. If we have a circle of radius 10 and line width k, and we decide to fill it, that line width will be evenly dispersed about the perimeter of the circle such that half the line width is inside the circle, and half is outside the circle. If, however, the same circle is sketched, the line width will still be the same, but it will now be dispersed entirely on the outside of the circle, thus making it larger. If I am wrong, and this is how figures are supposed to be drawn, or if I am simply not using the right settings, please let me know =) I have this div: Code: <div> Last Name <input name="data[Provider][last_name]" type="text" class="input_style" maxlength="100" value="" id="ProviderLastName" /> <input class="submit_style" type="submit" value="Search" /> </div> The way it's being displayed is having the last name string first and then the input and submit (both of them) under that last name string. I would like for all of these values to be on the same line. How can I do that? <p> doesn't work, tried it. Anything I can do in CSS? How make all of this on one line? (The div is the element that is not on the line) Thanks! Its working perfectly. Now, in the code that is being displayed- is an actual HTML code, that I want to turn into html. Here's where the problem is. As you can see- the actual Html code is: HTML Code: <div id="category" align="left">Category</div> I made sure not to change the tags, so that the browser will accept it as html. Now- my problem is that when I publish this on my site, an ugly page break appears before & after the real html code. I want to be able to copy the code that appears, and just simply paste it onto another part of the site- BUT, because of the line break that occurs, the HTML isn't displayed properly. Normally, a simple line break like this one won't affect anything- but I'm using WORDPRESS for my pages, and wordpress recognizes every time a line break happens, it makes a <br> code. So even if you press the enter key in HTML, it automatically ends up being a <br> code and breaks the whole html code. How will I make it so that the line break DOESN"T happen? TL;DR: I want to display HTML code on my site, but I want to have an ACTUAL HTML CODE inside the html code to be displayed. When I do this, a line break happens before and after the ACTUAL HTML CODE. How do I get rid of this? What my page currently looks like: HTML Code: <font color=#333333><b>Category: <div id="category" align="left">Category</div></b></font> Please help, everything is greatly appreciated! Is there an easy way to make a vertical line? For example, some equivalent to <HR> ? Thank you. hello, Im a noob at HTML and was wondeirng if you guys/gals could help me. Im trying to make a bracket and I am not sure how to make the line centered with the other lines. here is the code Code: td { vertical-align: middle; width: 10em; margin: 0; padding: 0; } See how each horizontal lines are centered with the 2 horizontal lines that come before it in this example? http://sharkspage.com/jpgs3/2007bracket2.gif my problem is the code i'm using centers the horizontal line with the words on the lines, not the actual 2 horizontal lines. So if the word on the top line is 50 characters taking up 3 rows, and the word on the bottom line it 5 characters using 1 row, the line is way off-centered. Hello all, I'm trying to do some simple table work for a webpage. The basic set up is this: Code: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <title>Team Funcom</title> </head> <body background="background.jpg"> <table border="1" align="center"; cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td width="100%" valign="top"> <table border="1" width="100%"> <tr> <td colspan="3" align="center"> STUFF </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="3" align="center"> STUFF </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2"> STUFF </td> <td rowspan="2" align="center"> STUFF </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="center"> STUFF </td> <td align="center"> STUFF </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="3"> STUFF </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </body> </html> I'm using some CSS to do some transparancy and some JavaScript to change some menu images onmouseover, not shown here. The problem is that when I put the rest of my code into the above tables, things line up in Opera, but not in I.E. I am using a table within a table, so that I can line things up in the center of the page, and that seems to be causing the problem. In Opera the outer table centers and is only as wide as it needs to be, but in IE the outer table's width takes up the whole page. Also, as I make the page smaller in I.E., the tables seems to overlap. Firefox makes things line up a bit better, but there are still some problems. Any thoughts here? I've attached the full code I'm working with. I had to change it to .txt so that I could upload it as an attachment. Here's what the page looks like in Opera at the moment. Hi, I've a grid and a charting component included in my form. I haven't included any new line between the grid and chart, but in the display they're on different line. I tried the following: 1. Increased the body width. 2. Tried increasing the <div> height & width. Eventhough the width increases they're still on different line. What might be the problem? Here is the code snippet: <!-- <form id="form1" runat="server"> <div style="vertical-align:middle; height: 1000px; overflow: visible; width:5000px;"> <asp:GridView> ................. /asp:GridView> <cc1:WebChart> .................... /cc1:WebChart> </div> </form> </body> --> Thanks for your time, SD |
