HTML - Site Design Issue
I been working on this issue I'm having I'm not sure what I need to do. I tried all kinds of stuff I just can't figure it out. I used photoshop to make the layout and then spliced it. I know I need to resplice it since one of the image repeats its self when it shouldn't but that not the problem. If you click the link you will see what is wrong. My left menu is floating left and my right menu is floating right. I want to add content in the center but when I do, the side menus are moved downwards. I tried floating the center but it pushed it past the left menu. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hello all, I am using Dreamweaver to create my site, and I'm using the two column fixed left sidebar header and footer template. Anyway, I need to have two separate columns of text in the main content portion, and I'm not sure how to go about it. Is using a table somehow the easiest way to go about it? Nick. hey guys - I was trying to add a little more kick to my website today and making the text appear in little windows I guess you would say - (I know the site is not complete and links are intentionally broken) if you look on the right of the page you will notice I added 2 table cells to round off the white - now the problem I can not figure out how to bring the white area over to the rounded edges whether I need to make the cell wider or if I need to add another cell - any help is appreciated. source: Http://www.medicalpracticeexams.com/index.asp Thanks Hi, basically i want to open an online clothing store via bigcartel. Hello, I have nearly finished working on a site for my brother's Photography but am running into an issue with how it displays in IE7. Heather so when viewing on Firefox and IE8, the site looks fine. www.pmtdiesel.com but when u view it on firefox, there is a pixel or 2 pixels that shift's the image to the right. when u view it on ie7, it shifts it a pixel or 2 up, i am referring to the top right image of the top banner/header. any ideas? thanks. I would like it to display the redirected site, but if possible keep to the original address.. e.g. A site named www.mysite.com, with an INDEX.HTML to redirect to www.othersite.com, which displays OTHERSITE with www.mysite.com in the address bar. That is, I use an editor, and laboriously crank out and test my pages on IE, safari, FireFox and Opera. But this is agonizingly slowwwwww ! What tools do *professional* webbers use to build sites ?? What would you folks here suggest as a useful tool for web-building that would speed up my building, but result in clean editable pages ? (btw, I'm an expert database man, but quit a neophyte in web design.) My 'forte' is building Windows business applications (Inventory, Accounting, etc, etc) using xBase database software (i.e., the xHarbour language). I can hardly wait until I can get 'behind-the-scenes' and do database work to back up my (pathetic) designs. Thanks for any hints. -Mel Smith Mesa, Arizona Hi My latest design is 2 columns one for navigation the second for content. My problem is with positioning. I want to be able to add an image at the bottom of the navigation column which will always be at teh bootom no matter how big the content area grows. The idea is my navigation will be at the top and the image or possibly images will be at the bottom. Is there an easy way around this with CSS? i could use tables and have it align to bottom but i don't want to use tables if possible. Any suggestions would be appreciated as the design is almost finished and i hope to make a start on coding this afternoon. I will post the example code soon for you guys to see how i've put it together and hopefully will just be able to change one line or somthing for me. CC_DESIGN If for user to use the web browser to open the text file in local drive, read the text file contents and plot the line graph base on the data in the text file, what is the most suitable design to use ? first i think of use the php to read the dynamic data , but php request to install the appserver, too complicate for user. if i use purely html, with some plug in like flash, is it possible to read the dynamic data in the text file and plot to the flash ? please advice me, many thanks. |
