HTML - Validation Code - Xml Parsing Error
Hello,
I have coded my site, and I have a form on the page, and I'm not sure why I am getting the errors I am getting. If anyone can help me out I would be forever grateful! unfortunately it doesn't pass validation. Apparently, a "ul" elenent cannot be inserted into another "ul". So, how do i create a cascading menu? I have no idea where this is coming from since every image on the page loads as https. Any ideas? I edited a html file using notepad++ but it won't run anymore. Hey i recently opened a blogged and wanted to begin customizing it with shoutboxs , games, etc Blog is runned by Mac OSx , it allows u to post html as well, but 98% of the html codes i put in there doesnt work...the ones that do work , well they seem to have <table> inserted in them...and strangly one of my posting options is to insert a table, so when i click on that *insert table* i paste my html code(shoutbox) and click insert (for table) and all the codes seem to work fine and shoutbox looks great, until i cllick the <>(htmlm mod) everything seems to go back to where it was before i started testing with table (which is that it doesnt work), this is only if switch from normal to html and back after i insert html codes through table...but if i just paste the Html codes for the shoutbox into *HTML* section, it shows up as the link that i use to gernate these codes...this happens with every one of my html codes including the ones that do work for the blog and dont work for the blog....So im stuck with HTML codes that only show up when the *insert table dialog box pops up and i insert html from there to blog.(which cancels html codes in the end)..From the table with the successful HTML, if i click Save,HTML mode, or Preview, it just makes the codes void..I think that when iclick any of those commands, the blog messes with codes Does anyone know any great codes to bypass w/e the blog is doing to my codes or simulating the table forever with the codes? The site's front page has a small section for text, the developers added some placeholder text in this spot. Now that the site is completed, I changed the text as follows: I downloaded the index.php file from my webhost. I changed it to a txt file, then opened in notepad, found the placeholder text, changed it, saved the file, renamed the file back to php, then uploaded to webhost, replacing old index.php file. When I load the page the following error message appears twice at the top of the window: Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/XXXX/public_html/index.php:1) in /home/XXXX/public_html/index.php on line 2 Does anyone know what this error indicates ? (I'm not a programmer) I did not save the old index.php file because I didn't think such a minor change would cause problems. The contract with my developer has ended and I don't want to start a new one for this. Any help appreciated. I would like to add parsed rss feed to my website (www.ghilliesuitsource.com) I will be the first to admit I am a complete stranger to PHP JAVA PERL etc. I believe my web server supports PHP at least, so I will learn what I have to. I was wondering if there is a good resource for adding parsed RSS feed to an existing html site. The site I want to bring feed from (if it helps) is http://outdoorrssfeeds.com/taxonomy/term/113/9 I am flailing about in open water, so if anyone could point me in the right direction I would certainly appreciate it. How can I display a php script on a web page (html - static) without it being parsed? Thanks. |
