HTML - Displaying Local Machine Ip Address In Html Page
hi all, am new here, please bear with me!
I have a request, I am creating an Intranet site for my company and would find it useful to display on the page the local machines IP address (not the public one), the LAN one. Can this be done in HTML or not, and if yes, can anyone please kindly point me in the right direction?? Thanks in advance. Similar TutorialsHi everyone, This may seem a simple question but here goes... I have two separate domain names, both with different hosting companies. I have uploaded exactly the same page to both servers, but one requires .html after it to view it, and the other doesn't. For example www.########.com/#### www.########.com/####.html Do you know how to change it so it doesn't require the .html at the end to view it? Thanks Tom I want to load a local html file in an IFrame. The main page is loaded from a remote site (http://www.mysite.com). How can I do that if I don't have a web server installed on the local machine? Is there any workaround? Thank you! Hi all, just came here to ask why is it that when I try to open my HTML file in Internet Explorer, which I created in note pad, it comes up with the code I typed it rather than displaying the actual page? Like for example I typed in this... <html> <head><title>Interspecies Conflict Videos</title></head> <body> <div align="center"> <img src="web logo.jpg" alt="Web Header" /> </div> </body> </html> And all I got was the code you see above you, there was no picture or anything. Can't figure out why the page is displaying only HTML code. My assumption is: I indicated a wrong path to the image hosted with 000webhost.com. Otherwise I have no clue why the code doesn't display online. Here is the code. Can anybody spot the problem? Thanks in advance! =========================================== HTML Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv = "content-type" content = "text/html; charset = utf-8"/> <title>Russkaya Zvezda</title> </head> <body> <table width='100%'> <tr> <td align ='center'> <img src = "http://www.russkayazvezda.com/GRAY_VK_RZ_MY_RABOTAEM_raster.jpg" width = "100%" alt = "RUSSKAYA ZVEZDA"/> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <p style = "text-align: center;"> Copyright © 2000 - 2012 by Russkaya Zvezda Inc. </p> </td> </tr> </table> </body> </html> How do I display an excel spreadsheet in a html web page that dynamically changes when the spreadsheet is edited? The spreadsheet on the web page doesn't have to be interactive, it can even just be made of html tables. As long as it updates with the actual spreadsheet. I am in the process of installing an internet blocker on my Ubuntu machine. I have an access denied page that I have made up, but I want the page to redirect to a file located in each user's home folder after a few seconds. This basically makes a unique page for each user when something is blocked. Normally I would think to do this in either javascript or using the meta refresh tag, but this appears to be a prohibited behaviour for obvious security reasons. Is there any way to turn this off and allow local redirection? Yes, this a highly abnormal thing to want to do on a page...I have been designing and building commercial websites for years and never have I had to do this Hi, Does anyone know how to link a local file and open up in your browser? I have tried <a href="file:///C:\TestFolder\test.xml" target="_blank">TEST FILE</a> But it doesn't work . Can anyone help me with this? Thanks , Geek.Shrek Hello Folks, I'm not too sure which forum I should post this in, but hopefully this is the right one. I have created a horzontal Navigation bar using a repeating tile for the bottom of my page, which views fine on my hard drive. See screenshot attached. However, when I upload the page, the tile stops displaying and only the solid background shows. http://www.magicalwonders.com/Test2/Index.html I can't work out what is going wrong. I've tried renaming the file, deleting from the webspace and re-uploading, but it still refuses to display when uploaded. The other repeating tiles work fine, so I have no idea what's going on. Can anyone spot what may be the problem and save my sanity? Thanks, Myles Greetings all. I have what i would think should be an easy thing to accomplish, but i just don't know how to do it... i have a .exe that is on a usb drive which currently auto-runs when you plug the drive into a usb port... what i want to do is have an HTML file that basically acts as a splash screen, w/ other options, that auto-runs instead... all of which is easy enough for me... but what i don't know how to do is to get a link on the HTML file to run the .exe as opposed to give the prompt to save it... is there an "easy" way to do this? both files reside on the same directory of the flash drive, and the .exe would only run when the user clicks the link... seems like it should be possible since i can auto-run the .exe, but w/ security restrictions, i can't seem to figure it out... TIA Hey, I'm a bit of a newbie at this, and I have a question for the experts.... I want to set up a textbox within a page that will act as an address bar. Basically, I want to be able to enter a web address into the textbox, and have the page open in another frame. I have a page with 2 frames right now - one containing the textbox, the other that will be the main browsing window. Do I need some CGI script to pull this off? Is there some way that I can restore the text entered in the box into the action= of the form? Thanks in advance for the replies. Does anyone know a html or javascript code that displays the users computer (network adapter's) mac address? Hi, I have what I think is a simple problem, but I am not sure how to solve it (because I am fairly new at php): I want to use a google map link where it will show the destination address. This link uses the iFrame component. Now, on my site, I want the user to enter his/her departing address, and what is entered will be input into a php variable $address. I am still experimenting, but I wanted to replace the google link that is in the iFrame (say it is www.googlemaps.com/location1+location2+location3) I want to replace "location1" with $address. The thing is, when i try to put a php variable inside an html coding, it won't work. I am trying to integrate it without having to use <?php ?>, but rather in the body of the html. I also tried <?=$address?> but this also did not work. Could anyone help me out? it seems very simple. I am having issues with a flash intro and decided to try and just place it on a separate page when visiting my father's website - www.raymorteam.com. So I took all of the code currently on his homepage and created a copy of the page - http://www.raymorteam.com/files/35241/Main_Page.html However, I only want the copy page to show www.raymorteam.com in the addressbar. How do I go about doing this? I've seen it at www.ch131.com. Take a look at that page - any link you click will only show the parent web address in the address bar. I want my father's page to do that for this specific page. Thanks. I have this code that I am using for a contact form on my website.
