In simple terms: I am trying to show on a web page a display of YouTube content from a specific user, that will automatically update through the RSS feed showing the latest videos, and when a user clicks on the video, it plays on the same web page. I have found HALF of this, with a script called video box, however you need to manually enter the videos in yourself. I am looking for this to be an automatic thing and it seems that RSS is the best way to do that. If anyone has any suggestions please respond. So I found this website: http://blogoscoped.com/youtube-api/ And I want to be able to use some of the code on a program I am using that will write the HTML to a GUI. But, if I simply copy the source and then paste to a blank HTML and run (I do have the SWFObject) none of the commands register. I can see all of the windows/objects, but clicking anything does nothing. Any help would be awesome! When I embed a YouTube video in my webpage, it is left-justified. What HTML tweak do I need to center this puppy? The standard code is: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/NA0iGQCd4TM"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/NA0iGQCd4TM" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> Thanks in advance for the help. hello, i want to put a youtube video on my site, for example <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/QmIDEGtFfhU&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QmIDEGtFfhU&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> as you can see the size is "425 with 355".but i dont want that size, its too big for my site. so i tryed to modify it, putting width="220" and height="200" in both object and embed. i tested my page, the movie window is indeed smaller but the video image IS NOT.you know that there is youtube logo on each clip when you put it on a website, and on my page that logo is seen on half. can i make it to show full image? (i hope you understand the problem) thank you. Hi, What is the html code to have a Youtube video on my website? Is it possible to embed just the Audio with a stop, pause, progress display? What is the html for this Sorry do not know which forum to post this. I would like to post videos on my site but behind my user authentication. It would be nice to use the YouTube service since it optimizes automatically but I do not want the videos public. I already have some public ones on my YouTube channel. Is there an alternative method I can post videos on my authenticated pages that cannot be access with a direct link? <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="internal" height="0" width="0" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/link&autoplay=1&rel=0"> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="never" /> <param name="allowNetworking" value="internal" /> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/link&autoplay=1&rel=0" /> </object> I want to add a code to make the YouTube audio off. Any ideas? Hello, IE8 can't read my Youtube video here : http://www.imi-solutions.com/?page_id=1631 Thank you for your help ! Hi, I'm looking to be able to put a little youtube login onto my site. It's a personal site, where i have some private videos embedded, and i don't want to need to go to youtube each time to login, but rather do it directly out of my site. So, i need this login to do 2 things 1) successfully login me into my youtube account 2) bring me back to my site, instead of taking me to the youtube homepage I tried copying the relevant code from the page source, and placing it on my site, but, it wouldn't even log me in. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to trying to examine code and figuring out what does what, and what i need to change to get it the way i want. Any help at all - if at all possible specific instructions - would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all! Hi everyone! I'm new here! And i got a real weird problem! Hi, I have a site that has embeded Youtube videos. These pages load fine and videos appear in Firefox, but not in I.E. Any ideas? BMW Crazy Car Videos Hey, I embedded a youtube video on my site and then I tweak the youtube embed video code and added in hidden=true and &autoplay=1&loop=1. I hid the video and made it autoplay and loop, and got background sound. Works great and works both on IE and Firefox. But I'm just wondering, is it against youtube's rules to hide their videos on your site. I feared that so I took the video off. saw some web pages where the video inside came from youtube The whole page was from their own site but the window that showed the video was from youtube. almost like a window into youtube for just that 1 part of the page can this be done with just html? area maps? I really need to do this. My host server gives problems when I embed a video, It would be great just to use youtube please help -marksmolen@mail.com Hello all! I need some help to make a link on my webpage which can open a Youtube-video in a new empty window. Youtube.com offers to types of linking the video-code: a) a regular URL-link for opening the video in a regular youtube-page (with all menus and ads) Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i_VvpQbYj4 b) an embed-code which will show the video anywhere you want on your webpage. Example: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_i_VvpQbYj4"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_i_VvpQbYj4" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> So I guess we have to combine these two methods for solving the problem? Perhaps I can make an empty html-page called "\videopage.html", and then make a link-code which opens the videopage.html showing the video embedded? Like this: 1. Make a file called "\videopage.html" 2. Make a link on my webpage with the unknown code. 3. When a user clicking on my video-link, it opens the page called "\videopage.html" and plays the video. 4. I have many videos linking from youtube, so I think I have to re-use the page called "\videopage.html" many times. 5. This means the "\videopage.html" needs to be empty all the time, and just be 'called on' by the code. Can anyone help me? I hope a clever HTML-coder can make this work... Anyone with ideas? Best regards, Stereoid Hi , I am playing around with the code for getting videos to resize in response to what device they are being viewed on . The youtube screen is 50% on desktop but when i minimise the youtube box on other media its making it to small for that devices .. .size-one .fluid-width-video-wrapper iframe, .size-one .fluid-width-video-wrapper object, .size-one .fluid-width-video-wrapper embed { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 50% !important; height: 50% !important; <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1/jquery.min.js"></script> <script src="https://raw.github.com/davatron5000/FitVids.js/master/jquery.fitvids.js"></script> <script> // FitVids jQuery(document).ready(function(){ // Target your .container, .wrapper, .post, etc. jQuery("#wrapper").fitVids(); }); </script> <div class="my-size-one"> "DUozxfgsclY" </div> <div id="featured"> <h3>video tests...</h3> <div class="size-one"> <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/DUozxfgsclY" frameborder="0" width="560" height="315"></iframe> </div> Anyone know why ? Thanks in advance and im sorry if this is in the wrong posting place. If so can you tell me where it needs to go . adam Hi, Here you are going to know how to create a shortcut search form for Google or Youtube or any website: First of all you need to open notepad in your computer and type the following code: You know: HTML Code: <html> <body> Alright, This is famous code... Now you need to create a form search so what you need to type is: HTML Code: <form name="Youtube Search" method="get" action="http://www.youtube.com/"> <input type="text" name="search_query"> <input type="submit" value=" Search! "> </form> Q: Why did we put the text name "search_query"? A: I have created this simple code by searching on youtube and looking at the link above. Ex: I have searched for " html language " The link appeared: http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...+language&aq=f So... We see " search_query " then, " = " and " method="get" " mean that the text which you type in the html page will be put in a link after " = ". I mean if I type in the textbox that I want to search for html language. It will be put like that: http://www.youtube.com/search_query=html+language This is it. Then, put the following code to end the html code and the body: HTML Code: </body> </html> Now, It should work completely.. Hope you understand my own code in searching on websites without entering it or putting it in your website. I would like to link an youtube video on one of my blog post using the embedded code that youtube provided. So I added in my post html view this code: <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/mIhqjRWZ77Y" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Before to publish the post I tested it, with the wordpress preview option. Some browser not works well. This is the scenario: 1) Using the last version of the Internet Explorer browser the post with the video works fine. 2) Using the last version of the Google Chrome browser I have to reload the html page two times before to view exactly the embedded video. After that the page works fine but when I load for the first time the page I don't see the video. 3) Using the last version of the Safari and the Firefox browser I have to reload two times the html page before to view the embedded video and after I have a problem viewing the video. The message is that the format video is not supported. Could you please help me to solve the problem. Which is the correct way to use the embedded code starting from youtube website ? How can I debug the issue ? Thanks a lot. |
