Basically I was thinking that my forum could be shown on someone else's site, but only certain parts of it. my host doesn't allow remote database connections so it's not possible to have a different forum accessing the same database. What difficulties would I encounter trying to do this? Greetings, I am wondering how should I approach on doing this? Basically, I am intending to create a forum in Zetaboards and inside this forum, there will be a news section. I will want my RSS feed to get it's posts from this news section. From the RSS feed, the feeds will then go to my website news section. The objective is to allow my website news section to receive the news from the forum news section. I have done a bit of research on it but I still can't figure out. In addition, I can't use PHP because I do not have the knowledge and my web host does not support PHP at all. Therefore, the code needs to be HTML, Javascript, XML and so on. Please help! Thanks! Hi everyone, I need some help! I have a forum, as well as a separate website. I would like the homepage of my website, to have "recent posts" section, from the forum. I know it's possible, i've seen it on many sites, can somebody help me out? Thanks! hey guys. I need help again! Well actually its a question But before that question - You see I play a game and in that game I want to make a list of things. Here is my noob website - http://heroonline.synthasite.com/ The Question -I guess what I'm asking is how do I post a forum directly onto a page of mywebsite with separate moderator accounts? I need forums that can be added to sites like myspace, and my website, that you post with a html code, and editable by multiply accounts? On that forum I just want one thread where i can post names of people. And I want some other people to be able to post names on that one thread. Kind of like the cbox I have on there but more like forums, and changeable by other people/accounts that i choose. Hope you guys understand what I am trying to say here... I'm a noob and i tried my best to explain. Hello All, I am looking to create a website very similar to this http://www.loserstatus.com/ that is my friends site and I currently have this www.canapictures.com . I like how simple his layout is but it looks sooo much better than mine lol. He hired someone to build it so he has no idea how it was made. Does anyone know if there is a template or something I can use to make something similar, I mainly just want the scrolling box with pictures that are linked to videos like he has on the top of the page below the banner. Hey there, Say I want to create a website by myself, using my own HTML code. How would I do this? I am pretty good with HTML, and know quite alot. But when it comes to finding somewhere to place all the code, it confuses the hell out of me lol. So, a few questions. - What programme is the best for writing your code into? - Once I have saved the code in this programme, how do I upload it through the FTP? (like, where do I place it?) - Is that it, or is there more to it? Cheers guys, Preemo Hi, I'm looking to create a simple booking form on a html website. It needs to generate an email containing the details for the website owner, as well as show confirmation to the form user that it has posted successfully. I'm trying to establish the best/easiest way of doing this? I have a fairly good grasp of html - but would this involve programming outside of html? Javascript perhaps? If you could point me in a direction it would be much appreciated, Thanks. Hey everyone! I don't know much about HTML so please be gentle in responding. I'm setting up a form for online donations for the organization I work for and we're using Paypal to receive the donations. The problem is that I need to be able to let people designate their donations to specific projects and such but Paypal won't do that. I know that I can set up a form on our website that allows them to select the different projects, put in the amounts and then have a box at the bottom giving the total donation. The problem I have is that whenever they fill out this form and move on to the Paypal payment page, they have to re-enter the total donation on the Paypal payment page. I want to eliminate this step, if possible. My question is this: Is there a way to have the total donation amount copied and pasted onto the Paypal payment page so they wouldn't have to re-enter it? Thanks for your help in this matter! Jason This will be my first website, aside of simple projects from my school class. A friend of mine has a website that is currently already up an running. He would like the site completely re-done, as he moved his company, has new offers, etc. Is the best way to do it, to re-write/edit from scratch, or to use a free website builder? I have beginners html/css/Javascript writing knowledge, and have been searching online when I need help. Let's say he already has a website called www.5star.com If I use a free website builder, will I be able to transfer all that to his domain name he already has so it doesnt become something like www.freewebsite/hostme/5star.com ? He is getting the FTP info from the guy who originally made his site. Thank you. (I have been working it from scratch and have a lot done, but want it to look great, and not just a plain static site). Hello I'm not sure if this is in the right section, but I'm trying to figure out how to make my website more easily maintainable. EG On my site there is a bar on every page with my "latest updates", every time I want to add an update I have to add it to every page which is tiresome. I was wondering if I can just have this bar point to a text file on every page so I can just update this one file and it will be displayed on all pages. Hopefully this isn't too difficult, thanks. I would like to start a credit card website, but I don't know much about html/web design. I am offering someone professional to help build me a website. The site must look like this site: credit-land.com , mainly referring to its templates & color. In addtion, I would like another website, somewhat similar (but not a clone) to this one: get3creditcards.com , so that I can distribute copies of that site to my affiliates to help promote my products. This means, when their affiliate application get approved, I will send them the site to put under a domain name. Also, I need for someone to help set up a tracking system for my affiliates, so they can track their earnings. And I believe this has to be another site? page? If anyone's willing to accept this offer, please PM me or email me sac25274 @ gmail.com and let me know your service price. Thank you very much. Ive been asked to fix up an old webpage. So I am trying to create a layout for my photo blog, with these standards: * images that I post auto-resize to squares [100*100] * when you click on the image it will show you the full sized version optional: * on the homepage you get the option to click on 'ANALOG' and 'DIGITAL' That's all! It can't be that hard right, am I over-seeing something? I want to use this layout on tumblr, blogger, wordpress, or any other free platform! I pretty much know how to do the code for getting the values, etc, I just do not know how to create the actual forms. I have to create the pages in Visual Studio 2008. Here is what I have to create: The first image explains what is supposed to be in each field of the form. The second image is what it is supposed to look like after the user inputs information to the form. And here is what the result is supposed to be after the user clicks the preview button: So like I said, I know how to do most of the coding, I just have no idea how to manipulate Visual Studio to make the forms look like, or at least similar to, the pictures I posted. I have experience in html and css and some in javascript. So that is not really the issue. I just do not know Visual Studio too well. It seems like there is something easy and/or obvious that I am missing. I played around with VS for several hours earlier and I could not make anything that looked similar the images. Any help is greatly appreciated. I pretty much just want to have a forum on my on website, but I don't want to have all the forum creators, like invisionfree's ads, because I want my own ads.
