HTML - Stopping Table Bacground Images From Scrolling
Hi,
How can I stop the table bacground image in this page from scrolling: http://augustineleudar.110mb.com/music.htm Its the bacground image of a table not the whole page any help appreciated Similar TutorialsOkay, so. Im completely new here! But I really need help fixing a tumblr theme code. The content/images is scrolling over/infront of the fixed header image, so what would be the code to fix that up? There is no CSS for the header as the original style didnt really include one. The HTML for the header is: <body> <head> <div style="width: 488px; height: 288px; margin: 0 auto; background: url(http://i56.tinypic.com/mwto2t.png) no-repeat top center fixed;"></div> <div id="yes"> <div id="center"> <div id="info"> <a href="/"></a><br><br> Thank you for any help Hi, I am trying to figure out why my background image is not showing up on my header... my website is http://www.mytodostuff.com I created the image to be 900px by 100px, and it should fit perfectly in the header div...but its not. Does anybody know why? i put the pic in my assets folder, its called 'banner.jpg' Hi, I have seen sites that has a series of images scrollng from right to left, any idea how to achieve this? Thanks. A.C. i have 3 images, 2 are feather's images and 1 is text image i am trying to put these two feather images(which are in png format so to be transparent) in opposite corners as well as in front and 3rd text image should come from behind of the start of feather n scroll to the end of the other feather image(it should come and go behind the feathers, not above) as feathers have little spaces so i want to show that text is going benath the feathers and ends where feather ends i have attached a sample image please help me in writing its code I will be working on a site soon and what I want to do is have a small box in which images scroll automatically from right to left. Similar to the image at the top of this page - http://www.huntingground.freeserve.c...mgscroll3h.htm - but I want it to be less wide and have one image showing at a time, at most two show at one time. I don't know if this is possible with HTML or if it is Javascript. I want it to repeat the images too. Thanks in advance. Hi frns I am trying to create scrolling table inside <div> tag, like this : Code: <div align = "left" style=" max-width:850px; width: expression(this.width > 850 ? 850 : true);max-height:600px; height: expression(this.height > 600 ? 600 : true); overflow:auto; border:0px;"> <table align ="center"><tr> <td id = "divHolder"> </td > </tr> </table> </div> My this table will be populated dynamically.Otherwise its working fine, but I want to make it independent of pixels ,like 850px or 600px which I am hard coding.Due to these pixels, the size of scroll appears differently on different screens. Can somebody plz tell, how to make it screen dependent rather than pixels dependent? Thnx I'm making a website which will include a gallery of several images, in addition to a navbar. I would like to be able to put the images and corresponding text in a little thing that can be scrolled through independently from the overall page; I'd like the navbar to be a permanent fixture on the page. I'm sure my terminology isn't correct, but we've all seen this sort of site before, right? Thanks! Hi all. I'm and HTML Newbie and am building a quick and easy site for someone. The way I typically do it for these type of "brochure" style sites is to simply lay everything out in photoshop. Slice it up save as HTML and then edit in Dreamweaver. Here is the HTML as it is now: Quote: <html> <head> <title>JessicaSite</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> </head> <body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0"> <p> </p> <!-- Save for Web Slices (JessicaSite.psd) --> <table width="948" height="605" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" id="Table_01"> <tr> <td colspan="5"><img src="images/Services_01.jpg" width="948" height="518" alt=""></td> </tr> <tr> <td><a href="Home.html"><img src="images/Services_02.jpg" alt="" width="176" height="87" border="0"></a></td> <td><a href="Services.Html"><img src="images/Services_03.jpg" alt="" width="178" height="87" border="0"></a></td> <td><a href="Gallery.Html"><img src="images/Services_04.jpg" alt="" width="180" height="87" border="0"></a></td> <td><a href="Designer.Html"><img src="images/Services_05.jpg" alt="" width="193" height="87" border="0"></a></td> <td><a href="Contact.Html"><img src="images/Services_06.jpg" alt="" width="221" height="87" border="0"></a></td> </tr> </table> <!-- End Save for Web Slices --> </body> </html> Pretty simple. In the first Table I'd like to be able to put text in there and have it scroll. How do I do this? I've already tried putting a div style="overflow:auto; tag around the first table but that definitely didn't work. Any suggestions? Bare in mind I know NO CSS and only the basics of HTML. I'm assuming this is a pretty easy problem, but I don't even know where to begin. I've done a few google searches, but since I don't know what to search for, I can't find the answer! Hope you all can help! I have a particular page that I don't want people to be able to just "surf" to. In a sense, I don't want them to be able to type the address of the page in the address bar. I want it so that the only way to get to that page is by linking from another page. Is there a way to do this? Thanks! http://www.sedition-gaming.com/test/ As you can see at the top, the images themselves aren't cooperating. How do I put them in their place? Thanks in advance. Hi, I'm trying to make a table to hold the "news" section for my website, I want to have the table have smooth edges, and I was thinking of having a "side" "corner" etc. and run them in smaller tables aroudn the outline, and have them repeat if new content is added, when I tried this it ended up messy, any ideas? thanks! - much like http://www.ask.com/?&o=101881&l=dis&&qsrc=119 I am having a problem with my site on IE 6. It's weird because I downgraded my browser to IE 6 so that I can detect these kinds of problems but it looks fine on my computer but weird on others. Heres my issue.... On IE 6, after the movie loads up, it stops loading the rest of the html after the video. So right after the video, the rest of the coding won't load. It works on every other browser but I want to try to get it to work on IE 6 because a lot of people still use it. Here is one of my video pages http://webtvdeluxe.com/v2/videos/Jones%20vs%20Trinidad/ It anyone can help me out, that would be great. Thanks in advance This code is taken from here (select gallery). I have been asked to add extra images to the gallery and the idea is to have a more button and replicate the same page but with new images - but I can't get it to work. I've tried editing the original image names with the new ones I;ve created. The image on the right shows but not on the left. Also the images don't seem to have the border The code: <div style=" margin:16 0 0 22px; line-height:13px " class="w2"><img src="images/4_p1.jpg" alt="" border="0" align="left" style="margin-right:30px "><a href="gallery.html" target="cont"><img src="images/4_p2.jpg" alt="" border="0"></a><a href="gallery2.html" target="cont"><img src="images/4_p3.jpg" alt="" border="0" style="margin-left:19px "></a><br> <br style="line-height:19px "><a href="gallery3.html" target="cont"><img src="images/4_p4.jpg" alt="" border="0"></a><a href="gallery4.html" target="cont"><img src="images/4_p5.jpg" alt="" border="0" style="margin-left:19px "></a><br> <br style="line-height:19px "><a href="gallery5.html" target="cont"><img src="images/4_p6.jpg" alt="" border="0"></a><a href="gallery6.html" target="cont"><img src="images/4_p7.jpg" alt="" border="0" style="margin-left:19px "></a></div> <div style=" margin:15 0 0 167px; line-height:13px " class="w2"><strong>Dream Catcher I have received so much help from the experts here that I am having a blast trying new things with HTML. But, now I've run into another little problem that I just can't figure out. So here I am again seeking the advice of the experts. I have a table and I am trying to get an image in it. I can get the image in, but because the particular cell that the image is in (as a background btw) is longer than the image, the image repeats itself below the image I want. Other than shortening the cell itself, is there a way to keep this background image from repeating itself within the cell of the table? Thanks, Vance I'm setting up a table showcasing a bunch of logos and they're all different widths. I saved the Jpegs as all the same height. I need help coding it though I want the page to look like this but it looks like this when I use this code Quote: <table border="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td><a href="http://www.champssports.com"><img src="http://milkshakekicks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/champs.png"/></a></td> <td><a href="http://www.ladyfootlocker.com"><img src="http://milkshakekicks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/footlocker.png"></a></td> <td><a href="http://www.drjays.com"><img src="http://milkshakekicks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/drjays.png"></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><a href="http://www.shoecity.com"><img src="http://milkshakekicks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/shoecity.png"></a></td> <td><a href="http://www.shiekhshoes.com"><img src="http://milkshakekicks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/sheik.png"></a></td> <td><a href="http://www.finsihline.com"><img src="http://milkshakekicks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/finishline.png"></a></td> <td><a href="http://www.jimmyjazz.com"><img src="http://milkshakekicks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/jimmyjazz.png"></a></td> </tr> </tbody> </table> and I don't even know how I would code that green square image that says "thes are some of our retailers" it wouldn't go within that table right? The main page with the DIV has a black background, and the include page has a purple background. The problem is that the include's background is overriding the main page background, making it all purple. How do I make the background colors perform as they should? Thanks for your help Shaun |
