HTML - Remotely Hosted Images Not Showing?
I'm having trouble getting remotely hosted images to show up on my blog (hosted by Livejournal). The images are on my own domain. I have in the past remotely inserted images on my (Livejournal) blog via Flickr, using basic

<img src=""> code, so it's not that Livejournal blocks it. Could anyone please help? Hi, I made a test site with HTML coding as .txt, then I opened it with the browser (Internet Explorer) and looked just as I made it. However, when I paste the code in the editor of the site host (freewbs.com) it does not show my images, they just dissapear. I used this kind of code when I put the images: <TD width=300 background="examplesite_archivos/navbar1.jpg" </TD> and it works great except when I open the site with the host. I thought I should upload them somehow, but doesn`t works. It's the first time I use a host so if someone could explain me what I'm doing wrong or what's the problem?? Thanks a lot. Hi All, I have got an issue where my images are not showing when debugging the site, every time i place a new image i make sure the path to that image is correct i then check in design view and i can see the image but when i launch the site the images do not show? Its the arrow image that isnt showing, iv got the same issue with my Header picture aswell. And yes im aware this is alot easier in CSS but im currently learning that at the moment. We're also using google's app engine for assistance. I've recently downloaded a free template to make my website look better, and this came with the html, and the css. When I load my website it seems to be taking all the formatting from the css, but not the images. So basically it is nice text and format with no images. I'm not sure what's wrong, the css is being referenced in the .yaml, as well as my images folder. In the past, I use to use a 'Random Banner' cgi script. I was doing this to insert HTML in various pages on my site. Now I would only insert ONE set of html codes. Reason being, is that I wasn't looking to rotate banners, ....I was merely looking for the ability to update/change/insert codes in one location, and have it update every relative page. Thus sparing me from updating every page individually. I know this technique must me a dinosaur. Hi all, I'm a technical author based in the UK, but I've got a problem with an online help system I'm producing - I hope you can help, I've been pulling my hair out for days trying to find a solution to this! My problem is with the security update courtesy of Microsoft and the "Page not displayed" problems it causes. The container and TOC produce fine, but the right pane shows the error. Now, my chm has to be stored on a network and will be viewed by over 500 people on terminals, so I'm unable to load anything onto any local drives, so I can't do the "Unblock" security fix. None of the users will have admin privileges and bearing in mind there are so many machines, I'm also unable to change the registry settings on the machines, so this rules out fix number two. I wonder, is there any code that could be put into the chm itself to confirm it as a valid file, and thus open directly from the network without having to modify each individual pc? Or indeed would anyone know of a script that could be run from the network to update everyone's machines all at once? If none of these work, I guess I'm reduced to producing plain HTML files, but I'm hoping I can find a workaround as I particularly like the TOC/index/search facilities of HTML help, and the fact I only have to ship a couple of files. How do I remove it??? I'm using the [if gt IE5] tag to make some changes to how the site I'm working on appears in IE. The changes are working, but the tag itself is showing as text on the page in IE. So, at the top of the page, there is the following text: <!--[if gt IE5]> <![endif]--> The tag is in the head of the document. Hi, I wanted to know if someone can help me use th right html code to display the proper city for someones IP. I have found this site : http://www.hostip.info/use.html but I dont understand how to integrate it into my html. So I want something like this "hello my name is bob and im from" and thne right after the site displays their city. I know its not always accurate but it doesnt matter, if its off then no big deal but the times its on could be a good selling point. I did a search and found someone else asking something similar long time ago but it didnt really help me as it dealt with php. is Php required to do this?
