HTML - Someone Check If My Coding Is Corret

Hey guys, i am very very new to html and i designed and coded www.e-smartonline.com for myself, i know the way i made the html was not good, i have trouble with the links cause everything is pushing them cause of the way i coded it.. lol. Hello all! Cool place here and I hope with lots of experts. I have a n html template for a mod on my site and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it how I want. I work for a hospital and we are moving into a new building. The employees want me to put a simple countdown "ticker" on our intranet. The move is in a few months. Any one know code to create a date countdown?

On my website so far, I am doing very well but I need to know how to go to next page from a link at the bottom of the page.

The numbers will represent the chapters but how do I do it?????

My webpage was built using Mac I-Web then transferred to a folder on my desktop. I then uploaded the file to my host. The photos on the site are not showing up due to bad coding. Can anyone offer suggestions. thanks

Hello, okay, so here's what i want to do: I want to create multiple dropdown boxes, and then have options inside the dropdown boxes have various values or attributes assigned to them, and then after all the options have been selected, then compare the various attributes of each option against each other, i'd like to compare it back against a spreadsheet of some sort, that would be easiest for managing the data and the various attributes, is it possible to check attributes of a dropdown selection on a spreadsheet of some sort? if so, how would that be done? if not, how else could the desired effect be achieved?

I Dont understand i tried updating news section and everything has gone in a number of different section of the news, i want it to be in order!!

Back Story: New Manager at a manufacturer and they had a friends child or something do the website so I've got some issues... I simply updated some info on the bottom of some pages on the site and the page now looks like the spacing is off and is being folded towards the header...

This one is correct...


This one got messed up somehow...


You can see how above the header saying "Innovative Outdoor Products..." the spacing is gone and the entire table got pushed up... If I had messed with the code, I know I could figure it out but, it just sort of happened...

I am a novice at HTML / Coding and I'm just getting my feet wet when it comes to proper hands on coding rather than just the very simple aspects of editing say a forum theme or very, very basic HTML.

I have this web template that I am trying to use, it's live he http://www.themeanstreets.net/revamp/index.html

Essentially, I use MyBB 1.6.4. This template pulls recent posts from specific forums. I've found a Mod for MyBB to do this located he http://community.mybb.com/thread-62787.html

What I can't figure out is how to put this all together to work. It seems that this web template which is PSD / HTML / CSS has the recent posts hand written / coded in. Like there's no sample code showing it pulling from any where.

If there's any help or advice you can provide it would be so very greatly appreciated because I'm a day away from scraping this template that I really really love LOL

I am a newbie to this html thing but I have a task that is a little complicated that I need to do often. I want to be able to work with a design like in the attached. Can someone send me a sample of coding that will make a similar to this? I do not want to use tables because I was told that tables are not a very good way to lay out something with pictures and text.

The coding does not have to be complete - just the bare minimum to do the job. I do not expect to be able to make it a file and make it work - I just want to study it.

Hello everyone, newbie to this forum humbly seeking help.

I'll got a javascript working to display an alt image on hover and at the same time an image box appearing at another place on the page (describing the link).

After preparing the linked page I discovered that the link doesn't work.

When I add "a href" within the code which already only has a "href" in the javascript the complex image cutting becomes apparent with a pixel or so space between each of the cuts.

I had alt images working nicely, now I find something is very much a miss.

Here is the code which delivers the two alt images well but doesn't link to the target page.

Hi all! Quick question about the two different browsers, IE and Safari. . . On my home page at www.rentxotic.com I have two buttons programed to be in the top right corner, IE doesn't load this 100% of times, but safari always has it no matter what page your on. Does anyone know what the compatibility issue is with this? How can I fix it?

I manage a website but don't know much about HTML. The website is used within my company to view different powerpoint presentations and excel spreadsheets that are updated every week. I want to put a form or a table on the frontpage to show what files have been updated recently. For instance if the file has been updated yesterday and is current (Weekly file) then I want the table or form to show the name of the file and highlight it in green. If the file is more then 7 days old I want it to be red. Can someone point me the the right direction?
