HTML - Inline Image With Caption
I am a newbie in HTML. I would like to be able to display an inline image with a caption (that just display inline as a big character). I have googled a lot but found no satisfying solution. Any suggestion for that?
Similar TutorialsI am new to html, but I am using layers to define regions on my page. In one of my layers, I wish to add an image and then put a caption below the image. I would like both the image and the caption to float and the rest of the text to flow around them. Must I use a table to do this? I can successfully make the image float, but I can't make a new layer with the caption text float. I'm sure this is a common thing to do, but I can't figure it out, and I would like to avoid a table. Hi: The table caption for my one-column table of 'submit buttons' is too close to the vertical column of buttons, and I have a 1px solid black border around this table. Question: How can I 'push' the table body down a bit so that the caption is well-separated from the table body itself ? I'm not a web-developer, though I have a lot of other coding experience. As part of an internal webpage I'm creating, I want to access a webservice that returns a string and display it on the page. The service is accessed by URL, and requires parameters that are dynamically generated base upon the request parameters, so I can't just use #include. What I want to see is something like this, where the number string is provided by the webservice: Authorization code: 1343-7205-7570-8264 I tried this: Code: Authorization code: <object type=text/plain data="http://blah/service?params"></object> IE doesn't output the resulting string. Firefox does output the string, but it's not cleanly inlined with the rest of the text. It has it's own big block of the screen that the text sits in. Is there a simple way to insert the text from a dynamically generated URL into the current page? I have display:inline and its adding in two drop boxes that it shouldnt. After the drop boxes it then stops the inline. Im new to css, have only been trying it for the past couple of days. The two drop down boxes are suppose to be on the left, under the links at the top. But unfortunately, this produces ... something I dont want .. as shown by the attachment. This clearly has inexplicable white borders that I have not coded :S, and the three blocks are not inline. Can anyone give a simple explanation as to how to put these in line and eliminate the border between them? Thanks, Joey I'd like to open an inline frame on my site. I've got the code this far; however I cannot find out how to finish it. I need to knowhow to get it to open at a certain spot on the page. So like an example would be I want it to open at spot x on a page. How would I code this to open it at that spot? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi, i've been banging my head against the wall trying to find a solution, and have eventually given in..! I'm creating an html email that has an image in it. Easy When that email is received and the user prints, it replaces the image with another more print friendly version. Easy using media:print in a style. However, when the user then replies to the email, all of the <style> in the <head> is wiped and the large un-printer friendly image remains. The only solution would be to put all styles inline within the <body>. So the question..! Any ideas how to replicate this process only coding within the body? thanks, J I am trying to create a pop-up window from a link that is within an inline frame. I know the code I am using is correct as when I place the link outside of the inline frame, it works perfectly. It is when the link is placed within the inline frame that it acts up - it opens itself like a regular link within the frame (except that all my pages have frame break on them so it just works to open the page within the same window). It references a 20x20 PNG image but you should get the idea wiithout such an image. All I want to do is make the text vertically-aligned to halfway up the image. Centralised, in other words. I've been trying to do it by adding a bottom margin to the text, or by adding a negative top margin to the image, but nothing works! I've got a feeling I'm forgetting something really obvious...
