HTML - How To Make The Bottom Of A Page Different
I need help with this html page. I would like the disclaimer at the bottom of the page to not follow the body. Is that possible?

I have one page on my site (the only long page) that has a 1px white line at the bottom in Firefox. How can I make the text appear at left bottom... My problem is that on a page I am currently working on (and it's happened to me in the past as well) there is a small space at the bottom of the page that shouldn't be there. It's weird because it's there when the page first loads, but when I refresh it goes away. But why is it there in the first place. There's no stray <br> tags or anything and this is very basic HTML code, including tables. I don't see any other sites with this problem, what in the world could it be? I just asked a friend, and I don't think he's seeing it. The space is very noticeable. It's kind of embarrassing, a wrestling related page, but I'll include the link. I am using Internet Explorer, by the way. And I just noticed than when I click the link in my bookmarks, and hit "open in new tab", the space isn't there. Just odd. It looks something like: http://www.htmlforums.com/attachment...1&d=1242556560 I noticed that many websites they code those horizontal scroll to go to next/prevous page. For example Discuz! forum system has this function. While you browse hundreds or thousands of posts separated into pages, the horizontal scroll can take you to previous page or next page.(not browser back/forward) How do I code like that? Or any examples? Hi guys I've spent the best part of two hours attempting this and have been failing. Miserably. What I'm trying to do is NOT to create a body background, but create an image, which will sit at the bottom of my browser window, regardless of it's size, and then go BEHIND other elements such as tables / images if my browser window size causes overlap. Antonz Reference: http://investorsconnection.net So if you load it up in FF, you see that there is a stripe that goes across the bottom of the page and it is flush to the bottom of the window. That is how it is supposed to be. In IE there is a space below that greyish stripe, and it's not supposed to be there. I can't figure out why! The stripe is div id "footer_bg". Thank you for the help! i have a sitecube.com website... i am not as educated as you others so i could not build my own site, and i could not afford a better site. here is the scenario, i have access to change add html code in the meta information? if you visit my site. pasadenawealth.com you can see i added a twiiter widget, a mortgage calculator and a wiki widget. below those widgets you can see the designer websites by sitecube.com 2005-2007.html site i want to remove that, as i feel it lowers the overall look of my site, customer service refuses to remove it.... BUT while i was adding in other html codes in my meta information i once incorrectly entered some html code and i believed it removed it. but after i fixed it, it came back. anyone have any ideas? maybe adding some sort of end code, or do not display anything below code. i am very html illiterate and any help would be greatly appreciated thanks! |
