HTML - New To Html World !
Hello there!
I want to start from scratch on HTML, XHTML, CSS and further. For that I need some guidance as to where to look for learning these languages from BASIC to MASTERY. I learned a bit from w3schools.com but it seems there it's less descriptive and explanatory and more on the practical side. After studying and completing the languages, I want to take an exam and get certifications for that all ONLINE! Thanx! Similar TutorialsHello everyone. What it is is a menu that just shows the top level, but when you click on it, it drops down to show you a sub-level. Does anyone know what this type of menu is called? ARHH. In order to create a space or line break, I found a work around by adding 1 or 2 If I do other editing on the rest of the page, or if I update the page - I lose those spacers and have to re-input them over and over. It's driving me nuts. Sometimes, I'll have to use those spacers when line breaks don't work on the page. What a pain. So - masters of CODE world - what's up here? Why is it doing this? What am I missing? Why can't I just hit ENTER to provide a space and see it reflected on the front end? I would like a form on my DJ website that asks the potential customer how many hours they want a disco for, their location and any extras they want to have with the package. The form will then calculate the value of everything and give them a price. I would like to display this answer only after the visitor clicks on a button, rather than just have the information pop up/recalculate every time the visitor changes something on the form. Hello, okay, so i was thinking about redesigning my site because i never really have done so before. but as i was thinking, i was thinking it would be nice to be able to fit more stuff across the screen width wise.... right now my website has like 750px width... and i was wondering if i increased it some, would the majority of the people not have a problem viewing it? and if so, how many pixels wide do u think i could go before its too wide... i have my screen resolution said at 1280x1024... does anybody know what the majority of people set their screen resolutions to? any help would be great..thanks.. I just upgraded all my .HTML pages to .PHP . But now I noticed that when my pages pull up in the search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN. They still show the old .HTML links?? When they click on the webpages from the search engines results you get error 404 page cannot be found. How can I update the search engines or add code to my page so the search engines will reflect the new .PHP pages. Also it's been over a good week since I've update to .PHP Thank you all in advanced!! I am quite happy creating html only newsletters, and text ones for that matter, but I have been digging and believe that by using multi-part code I can send to both and the recipients email client "allows" whichever version to be displayed - does this sound right? I'm hoping to simply create the html with the relevent mime references and boundaries (dont know what they are but have seen them on enough Google'd pages to know that they mean something!) and then copy and paste into Outlook - the newsletter is only going out to a few people at a time. Any suggestions or advice would be very greatly appreciated. I know I can simply create a new HTML document and then just copy and paste the links but is there a utility that can do this ? Many thanks Hi, so I'm trying to make this e-mail newsletter. It's entirely images, tables and text. So no javascript, just plain stuff. I tried attaching it as a signiture file and I had trouble sending it. It also didn't come out right. I'm trying to avoid using a software. Its basically just a block of HTML I need to show up as the only content in an email. If you just put HTML into a email text field, it just shows the HTML code in the email as text. Any ideas? I am still new to the web page world, but the website I originally created (in japanese) was passed on to a programmer. He did a lot of "upgrades" to the site so he says, but he left. Now I am in charge again of re-modeling the site. The problem is I am trying to figure out why there are so many dead links. I have looked up and down the server, but can't find anything. I have this template that I need to email to people, it will not be on my website. Wow ever I need to change the information in one table every few days. The information is live I think it's called. It's like if I place google adsense in that table and decide to change it to ad-clicks later, I can't send everyone a new template, I need to be able to change just the information within that table.
